Flip is a name brand in the sport of skateboarding, awesome build man. Their is no brand that's better than the other, people just like different brands
@@beepovews4392The turning and the two sets that I had broke easily. Now I skate Venture and Thunders and they both feel great in their own unique way. I put them through a lot of abuse too and they don't break.
Flip boards are my favorite mellow boards, I usually skate steep decks but if I get a wild hair I'll skate a flip. Oust bearings are also the best bearings other then swiss on the market imo.
How is the turning of those trucks? Is it similar to Thunder or way worse? I am looking for low trucks and I would like to buy Tensors because I used to ride them back in the early 2000's. I like the style of design and I like this company. But there are opinions that they do not turn at all even when you keep them as loose as possible. Is this true?
Is there some sort of unspoken link between all Flip Riders? This is how I built my black with red lettering Flip deck as well, and no one told me how to do it either; just knew I wanted those Red Tensor Trucks, Bonez Red Bearings and Spitfire Wheels for that Flip deck back in 2003. The one before in 2001 was totally different: Girl deck, Venture Trucks, Pig wheels and bones bearings.
Thanks man I think I'm going to get some! It's a toss up between them and spitfire formula fours I'm still debating but I like how the Falcons are slim. I figured theyd be better for nose and tail slides.
They skated great for awhile but since they didn’t have nylon shields cleaning them was an absolute pain. If you can keep your bearings clean I define you recommend them but if you are skating a lot of street they will be hard to dissemble
Krux has an 8.0 axel, Ace 33s fit 8.0 I believe. You just have to look at the trucks size charts to see which hits what! And for wheels I ride an 8.125 deck and skate 52mm-53mm. This one is a preference though!
Clean bro. I have a question about your flip board, does your deck design peel easily because my flip board peels so easily, i can even peel some of the design with my fingers, just wanted to ask to see if they are all the same or its just mine.
Hahah good question. It’s because the wheels looks a lot cleaner with just the while. Typically wheel graphics ware away very quickly and it leaves the wheel looking very weird so I just put the graphic inward to not have to look at it
I’m still on them and planning to make a review but they arnt my favorite. I’ve had one bearing blow out on me and the shields are tin so when you remove them they can’t be put back on because they warp. They are fast but even after cleaning them I feel them slowing down again
That griptape looks super sick. Clean setup bro
Sup Chris
Love your vids Chris! We're from the same state
We’re is the kickflip test
Hahaha I forgot! Next time;)

Where*
God bless you for peeling that sticker off
Flip has one of the greatest shapes...
I agree. Flip boards flip very nicely🤔
Dope shit homie, I always roll Flip Tom Penny’s, been wanting to try A Baker deck later tho
Thanks so much! I’m really enjoying the flip board! It has a really unique shape. And baker is a great brand. I’ve only had one but it skated great
@@iholiday4639 is the Tom Penny nose wide or tapered? Really want to try one
Flip decks are sick af, seriously landed so many crazy tricks on these like imagine going from a honda to a bmw , legit ass board company, goated.
Got so sleepy until you started scratching the grip with the thing
Just bought the purple flip skateboard at Tilly’s as a complete skateboard and your was in the selection to complete can’t wait
Flip has the best shape

Set-up is sick!! I got the same flip board mines blue
It skated great so far!
@@iholiday4639 Nice!
What I find to help as well, take the trucks with the wheels on and roll it across the top of the paper that is put on top of the grip tape
That's the oldschool way my dude!
Flip skateboards are one of my second favourite brands and that setup was really cool love the trucks 👌👌🤙🤙
Thanks so much! I’m going to try to do a review of everything on this build
@@iholiday4639 that be cool be looking forward to it
Tensor trucks😩😭whyyy
IKR?!
whats bad with them?

Thanks so much
This would be a super light skateboard setup 👍
Looks like something Geoff Rowley would do for a setup except the trucks lol sick dude
I just noticed that lol!
Clean board
Thanks!
FLIP for life❤
So sick dude 💥
Thanks so much!

cool stuff bro
😎
That grip is 🔥
I saw the same grip tape at a skate shop and I was gonna get it but I got a different one but it still says motörhead
It’s really cool looking imo!
iHoliday yeah it is
how well do the oust bearings skate? Are they fast and durable? thinking about getting them.
They are good but they don’t have removable shields so cleaning them is extremely difficult
yo bro, how many colored ply is your flip deck?
Is that the matt berger Falcons? I have had my eye on them recently are they good for sliding on ledges?
Very awesome wheels! I recommend them
Thanks man I think I'm going to get some! It's a toss up between them and spitfire formula fours I'm still debating but I like how the Falcons are slim. I figured theyd be better for nose and tail slides.
Where did you order oust bearings

@@iholiday4639 wow thanks for replying. hmm... I was looking for reviews on oust bearings but I couldnt find any. How do you clean these then?
sick setup! also i got a question, what size trucks and wheels do you recommend for an 8.0 size deck?

Am I right that 8.25 is like XXXL? I’m looking for a new deck :/
Nah I would say 8.25 is average. 8.5 is getting on the big side but it’s all opinion and preference
im 6ft with size 10 shoes, should i get a 8.5?
Edit: (UK) size 10 so roughly 11 in US i think

Skate independent 149 trucks on your next boards, they are expensive but it's so woth it for me
Do you ride the Indy hollows?
I ride normal independent 139 stage 11 on a 8.0 board they cost about 70$
Do you feel as this board is on the heavy side??
Ok I’m new to skateboarding and I don’t know much about it so don’t judge me but why tf did u put the wheels on backwards?
Hahah good question. It’s because the wheels looks a lot cleaner with just the while. Typically wheel graphics ware away very quickly and it leaves the wheel looking very weird so I just put the graphic inward to not have to look at it

How were the Oust bearings?
They were fine but they have metal shields so cleaning them is very difficult. My favorite are Andale Swiss

I have the same deck but the colours are the other way round
How do you like it?

would look nicer if u would cut the griptape and let the logo be seen.
Hot
I had the same flip graphic on a 7.75. A cop ended up backing up and rolled over my board, snapping it, when it shot out from underneath me :// ACAB
I am so sorry to hear that
🔥🔥🙌🏽
Yup yup
Yee yee
Noo he covered the flip with grip tape I thought were gonna leave it exposed 😖😖
