      A few historical costumer/seamstresses
      on youtube have a few such videos--- for
      example, Bernadette Banner, Abby Cox,
      Karolina Zebrowska, Snappy Dragons Vi, Prior Attire, and a few other women show 1700s and various 1800s working women s underwear and outerware.

    He did not smuggle it, but I have an 1860s ballgown made from silk that hubby brought me. Made by my daughters. I will always treasure it.

    lovely. i will certainly have to get this book. though it is certainly ashame that jane austens books are one of the only reason this particularly part of the regency is remembered and celebrated.

    N Italy Renaissance city states navies.
    from.Genoa, so were called Genovese
    or Genoese = English language jeans.
