Great video👍 i did like the idea of that tent with all the vents no one likes a summer swedty tent 😂 i agree some sort of black out sides would be good as well for blazing sun in the morning, did you say what the waterproof rating was? Yeap that pole kit wow someone was on something that day for sure, that camp site looked pretty good especially with a burn pit in your pitch where abouts is it? Keep em coming 👍
Thanks Rich, I didn't mention the waterproof rating mate, but just for you, it's 10,000mm of rain. The camp site is situated near Bruton, just below King Alfred's tower. Lovely and quiet. Just what the doc ordered.
@@DSR1YT that's a good water proof rating for sure 👍 not many tents of that size have that 5000 to 7000, looks a good camp site for a DSR event of course good summer weather needed😉😉

Lovely tent but £450 is too much for me for the 10 times a year I get away bike camping. I'm curious as to why you'd want the bike in your tent, seems a bike risky. Campsite looks good so I've bookmarked that one 😎
Hay mate, 10 times a year? More time off than rambos safety catch. So £45 each time to be able to stand up and get ready in the dry, sounds worth it to me 🤣.
I couldn’t review a tent with a garage for your bike without getting it in there to actually test it out could I 😁. Ordinarily on a campsite I’d probably leave it outside. But if somewhere wild camping it would probably be in with me. Security reasons more than anything. 🤙
@@DSR1YT We've optimised our trips. We go away after work on a Friday and home middayish on the Saturday. So no leave needed from work and our better halfs can tolerate half a satuday 😁 We got into the habbit of getting a Chinese on the Friday night but after watching the Go4x4Camping videos we cook out own tea again now. 😎
In my opinion
This is dangerous practice.
A couple of times I had my bike fall off it’s stand while stopping somewhere offroad due to uneven ground and a sudden gust of wind.
Should that happen while you are asleep in your tent… it could end your trip abruptly 😮😮

I have a kickstand pad, several really, they don't cost much , granted they only help some and not for really bad ground.
£80 is expensive for a pole set and pegs mate.its not just you!alternatively,you could just grab some hazel sticks from the hedgerow and use them!
