Better get the KW clevis for the front so you can pull the KW out of the field when your combining in the snow corn won't de dry till after Thanksgiving.
You need to make the yellow cap/lid and center button flush to get the correct reading on the moister. It makes the correct spring force inside the moister reader.

New machines right you get plastic, computers.wires and every part cost more than a used one and you need a tec with his computer to fix it when he's done with the other ten .The average person can work on older machines. It's the same with new and old cars and trucks.Great video thank you for sharing

Man, Duffy. Ignore the naysayers. Your either gonna make it or not in the end. Something for all the other commenters to think about. I do a job one way. You would probably do it a different way. Both ways get the job done in the end. If the jobs done, how could my way or your way be wrong? Its not, your looking for a reason to complain. Keep up the good work Chris, I see good things ahead for ya!
New equipment breaks too. The best deal my dad ever made was 500 dollars for a john Deere 95 combine with a 20 foot header. It too the tin from 7 water heaters and two rolls of duct tape to get it going.

I’ve rebuilt a few big cats and Cummins and have never pulled the block. Seems a bit much unless your crank is bad….if the cranks shot you might as well upgrade the motor
Hey duffy get ahold of the Tim Gentry at gentry and sons trucking TH-cam channel. he may be able to point you towards an affordable good used engine. He knows a semi recycle place that sells good used engines at a fair price so maybe he can help you. Or i know he can advise you on how to proceed now he may say convert it to a Detroit and he wouldn’t be wrong in saying that but still he knows about converting semi engines from one to another and what has to be done and might even make time to do a collaboration video and help you out. When I saw that ear of corn, it got me excited to see that Awesome Titan going thru the rows and the stalks disappearing and the golden yellow goin thru the throat !! 20, 30, 40 Rock !!
Duffy make certain to check that gearbox that runs the bubble up auger going into the hopper on the right side, they a notorious for going out I usually keep mine pumped full of corn head grease, regular grease is to thick and it doesn't lubricate the bearings, also make sure and grease the gearbox in the 90 degree unloading auger at the very top, also use corn head grease in it, most of them you have to climb on top and you will see a grease zerk somewhere on the turret where the 90 is, there should be a zerk on the side of the turret, 2 very important gear boxes that I usually grease a couple times a season depending on how much you running
Duffy i bought a 4020 John Deere , because it will do what I need , I can do a lot of the repairs , and it did not cost an arm and a leg! Your combine is a cylinder concave machine?

Its not that they don't understand life it is simply that they have no idea what the cost of say a new combine is then the cost of a new header thats about $1,000,00.00 or that someone in your place as a first time farmer could not get financed to start farming with all brand new stuff you would most likely go bankrupt in the first year
