- On May 23 of this year I set out to drive from Los Angeles to Wilmington North Carolina. Across 2,700 miles of lush American landscape along interstate 40, I completed the drive in four days!
I'd like to extend special thanks to my Oklahoma family who opened their home and showed me around town.

I-40, I-70 I-94 are my favorite interstates, I like the Arizona New mexico area. When I was about 4 or 5 I remember driving through North Carolina's tunnels on my way to Greenville SC. Very pretty road.

Hey I was wondering what kind of camera you used for this trip? and what settings did you use? and what memory card did you use I'm surprised everything fit inside the card! I would be very thankful for this information as I am going to do something very similar soon. Thanks and fantastic vid!
You'll be quite surprised to learn then it was a spare iPhone 5s 8gb model running a photo capture app taking pictures every X seconds (where I had mine set to 10 seconds). End of day I'd transfer images to my laptop and cleanup memory on device. Thank you and safe travels on your future trip!

I live in North Carolina. I'm curious as to which way you went to go into South Carolina? I'm just asking bc I know I-40 doesn't enter SC. Great video btw! I hope to drive 40 from my state of NC to CA one day. Furthest I've drove on I-40 from NC is to Oklahoma City.
I 40 does not go by South of the Border. That's on I 95 in South Carolina. Did you get really lost?

Out of curiosity what was your interval between shots?
Ten seconds per shot is what I remember recording at, although the first two minutes of this video may have been shot at 5 second intervals.
