  • Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1924 Packard Single Six Touring sedan!
This Packard was built at their Detroit Michigan facility as model style 226 which is a touring sedan configuration. It is finished in the lovely combination of pale yellow and navy blue with black fenders with a tan cloth top and black vinyl interior. New for 1924, the Single Six took on the styling of the new Eight along with mechanical upgrades and features of the more expensive and larger car. These included four-wheel brakes, windshield wiper, rear-view mirror, electric gas gauge on the dash, tonneau light, and stop light. Tires were changed to 33 × 5, the cooling capacity increased, and a larger steering wheel fitted.
Under the bonnet sits a 268ci straight 6-cylinder engine and was rated at 54 horsepower mated to a 3-speed manual transmission and Packard claimed the car could achieve as much as 20 miles per gallon. Additional features include wooden artillery wheels, dual spare tires, and later added front and rear bumpers with a rear mounted trunk.
It remained under private ownership in Florida when it was then acquired by a Michigan based collector in 2018 and has been well maintained and looked after under his 6 years of ownership. This early Packard is ready for your acquisition in fully operational condition and represents a unique opportunity to own this 100-year-old piece of Packard history.
