I've played gambler like 3 times since the changes and I can tell you the roulette by far ends up getting great successes the most often out of his abilities. in order I'd say it goes roulette, dice, russian roulette, and cards (never even seen cards do their great success). Dice and Russian roulette are pretty even from my runs, so that seems more up to personal preference. Also got my first no hit hero run with gargoyle today :D. Turns out the build for little skul works really well on gargoyle since he has 2 abilities with 3 charges each, first time I've gotten a successful run with gargoyle!
My own experience prefers Deck of Card and the Roulette. I might be biased I started playing Skul right after the recent new changes and my first successful playthrough was with the gambler Deck and Roulette. Kobold carried my eco till the last past st joan where I got the dark knight, not optimal but better for the hero. Had 2 infinite bones thanks to slime. Ps deck Has liwer geater success yes but I wouldn't go as far as to rank it the lowest chance from what I experienced. :P

Although alchemist and Ice should immediately get stronger simply because status effects are getting reworked and buffed even if they themselves don't receive any changes. Anyway, 'twas a melancholic video -last one before the big change that'll most likely shake the game. @@alfav_ there would be a conversion rate quite high, it would still be very good but there's nothing to do with it and I think that would be cool. Or buy a starting item or skull for a high amount of dark quartz (rare highest)
Im just gonna say it. I really love the Skul devs it seems like now they got a basic understanding of what the game needs for balancing and I love how they made 2 big updates to fix their flaws, like I can only think of 1 Skul that in my opinion didnt deserve its changes (Daddy Litch) and its still up to debate.
The way you timed the music at 23:35, either intentional or not was quite good. I love how you always cut out the game audio and put in your own soundtrack whenever you get to that specific room.
Very intentional. I do what I can to sync some stuff up without having to cut the music or the footage too much. But I end up spending way too much time on these little sequences just to throw in little details like that.
So Beelz, i et you have probably seen this a ton, but if i may make a recomendation for future gambler runs. Gambler is a skull who wants to swap in and out as much as possible, he likes having a dance partner because his swap in mechanic is very very strong. I just recomend doing swaps more in the future with him, it adds a new layer of fun
I love the Dice they're so much fun My best Gambler run had them with a bunch of skill cool down and an infinite bone as well, I remember spamming like 5 successes back to back shreding through EVERYTHING
I just thought of this, they should make a south paw skull that you can get if you 100% the game, basically a legendary skull with overwhelming power that just breaks the game.

I had gambler and I think the monkey king skull (it was one or two upgrades away from ultimate version) and I was in the rookie heroes double battle, killed them in like 5 seconds because I had a very good run, so I went to move on, the 3 items you pick from where not there and I couldn't move forward. Softlocked and sad, had to reset and throw away that whole run. I was pissed and sad
Ruler of Destiny it's pretty sweet but I wonder if they're going to do like dead cells and make a custom mode where you try out all skulls just so you can see what work with what and get a good feel for different skulls make custom mode a lot harder and have fun

Or just have it hit from a better angle that isn't straight down from where the dice are. Vertical would be far more beneficial. Or Have the dice lock onto enemies based on what the number is, then do a targeted strike. If you got a big success roll on a boss, every hit lands.

It'll most likely appear on stream. We've been going through Metroidvanias a bunch recently. Finished Blasphemous and on the tail end of Deaths Gambit. Salt and Sacrifice is next on the list but I've had Souldiers on my radar since about Nov last year
With great success only roulette compares to dice with damage. 21 and russian roulette are significantly lower damage with successes. single cast dice is kind of meh, it needs the multicast.

i found a weird thing that happens to mummy when have bomber with the kaboom skill.. i think it was something that was not looked into or checked..
Just beat the game on my PS4 with Zerker and Champion. It was an odd combo for sure, but with gunpowder sword and troll. It made the difference

I've tried him, he's awesome, but I suck at the game and only beat it once with Reaper. Even with infinite bone and thieves.
I honestly prefer the dice over the gun because the gun locks you in place and you can't spam them like the other 3 skills.
they should add a gold skull whos damaged is based on the amount of money the player has, also could be a reference to golden skull
