I love this man ! Was raised a fervent "Anti-Mormon" by the Mennonites, Lutherans and Baptists.
My conversion was miraculous in my later life, and just stepped up into the building.

I discovered David on TH-cam shortly after his baptism. I was so inspired by his testimony. I was a lifelong LDS fence sitter(63 years) until 3 years ago after 3 surgeries, one being an aortic valve replacement. The humility finally took hold and now I can't get enough. Feasting on the words of Christ has become a way of life. I am so grateful! Thanks again, David!

Growing up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints and hearing truths all the time I feel like I take the true gospel for granted, because it’s always there for me. @perttisuorsa4678 God will never force anyone. That's why the Bible says He will knock but only you can open that door ( or your heart) for hom to enter. David was not ready to receive the truth, he admitted that himself. It took home 47 years for his heart to be ready...for him to open his heart to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For 47 years he was being tossed about by every wind of doctrine and blinded by the craftiness of men. Until he was ready, that's when his heart was opened to the truth. I pray others will hear his testimony and do not wait that long to come to the truth.

I felt the same way about the missionaries. They explained the plan of salvation, “have faith in Christ, repent, be baptized (by proper authority), receive the gift of the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands, endure to the end.” These are things that people seek their whole life to know, by prayer, by fasting, walking by faith, and saturating their lives in the scriptures. These are things that seekers outside of the Church of the Latter Day Saints have to fight to believe because it’s not mainstream Christianity to believe all of those points.
When I spoke with the elders I was blown away that these 18-19 year old boys not only know these precious Truths, and don’t dispute about these things (as we do in the Protestant churches), they have it written down for them in the scriptures, and can share it plainly with others, and not only that, they have the authority from God to live it all out. What a blessing and a miracle to find the missionaries!!!!

@@RealLadyG Thank you for sharing your comment and bringing up this important topic. I completely agree with you that it's essential to be respectful and mindful of the preferences and beliefs of others.
As you mentioned, the current leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Russell M. Nelson, has asked that we avoid using the term "Mormon" and instead use the full name of the church or the abbreviation "LDS." This change in terminology is part of an effort to emphasize the church's focus on Jesus Christ and to clarify its beliefs and practices.
I think it's crucial to respect this request and use the preferred terminology out of consideration and courtesy for our fellow members of the church. Let's all do our part to promote unity and respect in our interactions with one another.

Wow, I love this - David I love how through Evangelicals the word of God saved you from your former life; how you grabbed on to every good thing in the Evangelical faith (Moroni 7:20); how you have held on to the word of God you had; how your child-like faith has brought you further into the light; and how you have challenged us long-term members to get on fire! I think we do grow weary of the accusations - from other faiths, from atheists, from those we know and love leaving the Church - the pointing from the great and spacious building. We start to feel ashamed of that which gives life as the world seems to be crumbling around us in our families, etc. But your conversion and convert fire is refreshing. I finally remember again what it is like to be a missionary and to see the change in a life further turned to the Lord Jesus Christ and his servants the prophets. We do need to learn to take more (to steal from Mark Rober) "naive optimism" in sharing our lives and the restored gospel. I pray for you and yours. I pray that God protect you and your fire. That we can add ours to yours, and yours to ours. That we all can be more one in Christ. God speed, David!

David’s search for truth and conversion are so inspiring. I was born into the church, but even being a member of the church, I can say I have from time to time got lost in the mist of darkness or accusatory fog that he speaks of. I’m grateful that God hears prayers and sends people to help answer our prayers. I have been blessed numerous times in my life to have had friends, family, and priesthood brethren help me to recognize the truth and authority found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In David’s case it took 47 years to find the kingdom of God here on earth, but it is so exciting to think of the miracles God will work through him and others who choose to draw unto and follow the savior.
Two scriptures that come to mind:
    Matthew 7: 7,8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened
    and Ether 12: 27
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
God bless you David and I hope to be able to continue to follow you and your story!

I love to hear your testimony and I have listened to it over and over. I realized I love hearing from you exactly what I love about the gospel and the way I understand it. You possess great ability to express it effectively and with the power of the Holy Ghost. You have such zeal and such an interesting story that it humbles me and helps me appreciate what we have and to try and be a better disciple. When I first read the vision of Joseph Smith I was so impressed that it was true. The fact the adversary tried to stop him always seemed logical to me as a young boy but not something I would have put in to the story if I were making it up.That being said, why wouldn't satan try to stop the restoration of the Savior's very own church. He has not quit trying to stop it for 200 years! The accuser apparently is extremely skilled at creating the mist of darkness around people that cause them to stumble and lose their way, even to those in the church. I feel like there have been times when I stumble or are asleep and I am ashamed. That's why testimonies like yours are powerful. It wakes us up. Thank you so much. Keep going. Fortunately, each Sunday I can partake of the Sacrament and renew my covenants. (and of course repent daily)

So many pearls of wisdom I love that he said everyone running around with a bible and using their own interpretation means that everyone is a denomination of ONE. Very profound! I am inspired by your call to everyone to share their testimonies of the gospel by using a tool of the adversary (internet) turning it around and using it against him. What could be better than that? I completely agree that we should flood the internet with the truth of the gospel and how it has changed our lives! I've been following David from the beginning. I think he had maybe 600 subscribers when he popped up on my feed. I've been sharing his videos ever since. This was a wonderful conversation!!! Thank you Parker for sharing this! ❤

I tell people all the time that I drew up in the darkness and was pulled into His glorious LIGHT.
I am a convert to the Church as well, and I can relate SO much to what David is saying. My go to scripture was John 8:32 about knowing the TRUTH and the TRUTH setting you FREE. My soul felt so trapped and bound and lost. When David said that there is the cloud of darkness that the world puts around the Church that prevents people from searching there for truth, it's so true. I had this gapping whole in my soul that I tried to fill from my childhood, and I searched EVERYWHERE (of course not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and I gave up, and was so close to giving up on Christ, then the missionaries found me.
It's funny to me know as someone who use to eat up all the Anti-Mormon material, to see how those people are the ones that have blinders on. It's like the Lord's work that He's doing in these last days is a glorious, enormous crystal sculpture. It's perfect, but it has our fingerprints on it, because He is using us to build it. So many people don't SEE the beauty, but they zoom in on the human fingerprints and claim that God's work wouldn't have that. I'm grateful for Christ and His Gospel, because it has transformed me.

That’s a great testimony . Thank you for sharing it . The gospel is so beautiful simple and true . Gives you hope and strength and so much to look forward to . Explains Jesus atonement better then any sect can . How do many hang on to evangelicals ? But seems it says Christ true church would have the least followers . I feel like being in this must of darkness truly is what keeps others from even wanting to investigate the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . And then some when they do get scoffed at by that great and spacious building and they leave and begin to bother and spread hate . This is when the devil seems to have the whole world in chains because se of the mist of darkness and looks up and laughs . You have to fight hard to get out of this mist of darkness covering the world where you do not know the true and living God bit have Trinity shoved on you or else . I’m sure Satan enjoys that mist of darkness so he can laugh . Thank you for sharing . I know many have grasped on and recognized truths . It pricked their hearts and stirred their minds to truths so beautiful and normal and real . Not all this Trinity makes no sense but I will continue to believe if or else no Christian’s will except me . Deep down they all know it Doesn’t make any sense at all. It is like the wizard of Oz. Thinking this invisible blob can save then until they see it is a man behind there . Could compare that to Satan tricking so many . The 666. The number of a man . Man made teaching . A council of men not God made up Trinity . And forced it through blood and violence . Now stuck with it forever to have the dark mist around light truth and knowledge . Which truth now seems odd to them since this council forced Trinity . You disagreed with Constantine . He burned you up . Great beginning . And it never stopped .

You will understand the records he quotes from and the history of those records. Along with our living Apostles and Prophets, scholars like Brother Nibley Are priceless. Wow. Very powerful! I'm definitely going to subscribe to his channel. I'm a life long member and these are the types of testimonies that are needed today-from new converts to life long members. I LOVE the excitement & conviction about the gospel of Jesus Christ..it's humble and passionate, pure and full of love. I feel it comes from somewhere that isn't from our own self; it's definitely the Holy Ghost. I'm sitting here thinking that I sometimes go a long time without getting deep into gospel doctrine (the kind that makes your heart and mind yearn for & seek spiritual guidance), but as soon as I hear a strong, passionate testimony such as this or I listen to a couple conference talks or start searching for a specific scripture or read something pertaining to Christs earthly life (Cleon Skousens Days of the Living Christ is amazing btw) the need & yearning my soul is seeking hits me hard and I'm drawn to begin studying and fully immerse myself. I then question why I've gone so long without it. I feel like that deep gospel study can be such a balm.. it's in a way like the temple..when I get into it (and it's been a while)..the worries and stress of this world kinda just disappear. I need to get back there. Anyway.. I love this and I'm so glad he's found what he's been searching for his whole life and it's something that will change the course of his entire existence in this world and the next. I need to be a better missionary NOT to try to convert people, but to try to share the Spirit.
