I remember growing up with these slugs, they're literally everywhere up north in California. Definitely not something you want to step on if you're not paying attention. Loved this episode! Totally made me reminiscent about my childhood, especially when we'd go down into the dried up creek beds and watch the crayfish come out of their holes and wave their claws at us.
I appreciate you guys trying to appeal to kids to get outside more and enjoy nature. Get away from all the technology sometimes and get out there! I don't know if that was your intentions but that's what I thought of it.

Ha! When I was a kid in the early-mid '90s my sister and I used to go camping by the Toutle river out near Mt. St. Helens every Summer. We'd run around the the woods and hunt for huge banana slugs. We'd bring a bunch to the camp and our grandpa would have to wash the slime off of our hands with cans of tire cleaner from his brother's RV. Good times.

My back yard contains a forest and creek with so many animals!!! And my front/side yard contains a river which also houses many animals!! I love seeing what I can find. We have poisonous and non poisonous snakes, frogs, toads, crawfish, katydids, slugs, spiders, and so much more!!! I am blessed to live here!

My fav is the aurora butterfly. Also lots of lakes and close to the ocean, so lots to pick from around here. XD Not to mention I live close to a nature preservation area, so lots of cool birds.
