Hey Rams,great to hear your sniffer is back online so to speak 👍. I haven’t sniffed any Spirit of Dubai at all ,and if I’m being totally honest I don’t see that changing in my future lol 😆,however to digress ,I had waiting on me on returning from work 2 packages,yes indeed,one the discontinued Imitation man and the second Le Morroc por Elle by Tauer. Imitation is at first impression,eh kinda weird ,but it’s definitely got potential, but for me the star of the two Morroc por Elle is stunning,god I shunned this one,Andy’s first, forever because it’s for Elle ie for women , but harkening back to your floral vid and how my nose has tuned in to the sting in the tail floral scents ,well this one is superb ,it’s a must try Rams ,everything you want in a vintage vibe ,animalic,floral Amber this one hits the target man I love it . On its release,hell no I would have hated it ,but today it’s ,for me one of my to 3 A.T. fragrances after just an hour wow 😮 it’s good my man .cheers take care ,smell ya later 👍🙏✌️
Imitation Man will grow on you.. today I love it... I have a sample of Le Morroc Pour Elle by Tauer ... will do a first impression soon! Excited that it is an animalic frag 😬

Hold on...complaints about sniffing? Seriously? Friendly advice concerning your symptoms, with your A/C a humidifier may help but good to see you're hydrating frequently. Also grated ginger in hot water with lemon you can add honey to sweeten, but a good healthy amount of ginger to sting the back of your throat....works a treat. Good to see you give everything a fair try, I've just been doing similar with my samples, some I didn't particularly like to begin with are now making their way on the bottle list. Sote-VU by Ted Lapidus it's got all the goodies in the right places. I meant to say on yesterday's vid your take on Ocean Rain, it certainly unsettles you at first then keeps your attention, for me it takes me back to when I was on holiday on a remote tropical island, should have been heaven but it was hell! Got bad sunburn, the weather turned unsettled, not great when you've only got t shirts and shorts and to make matters worse I got badly grazed by the coral reef while diving, all in all not a pleasant memory. I felt like Tom Hanks in Cast Away, only there was no WILSON! Getting back to Ocean Rain it takes me back to being on a beautiful beach but on an unsettled day with a storm brewing and looking out to the distance, it's certainly cold. A rare treat.
Yesterday was the first day wearing Ocean Rain and I can tell you that unsettled feeling dissipated as the day went on I liked it more and more & I think it is safe to say that it will be in my top 5 "aquatic" frags with Voyageur & EROLFA ... actually an acquatic frag video might be a good idea 🤔 Thanks for working out my brain Simon 😂

Another auction house acquisition, don't know if it's a sign of the times as there's more and more collectors perfumes hitting the auctions. That Gala is a stunning bottle too, btw there's a good review on YT on Musc by Bruno Acampora and it's your fault I'm searching for the Gold version 😂

Just this wk a real gem came up and I'm hoping it doesn't get much interest as usual another love was up for sale at a great price Ultima U11 Sheer scent but I was holding off until I get a final price on the other, sure enough the Ultima got snapped up, it's on sale between £200to £300+, ridiculous prices while this one was originally £130 then reduced to £99 then offered at £80, like I said I'm holding off for this other fragrance at a great price atm. I'm kind of annoyed with myself for not getting a back up of the Ultima as it suits the sticky weather here atm. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. Today's sotd Chassres by Pola another hidden gem.

I find it interesting that your "angel" is whispering in favor of the darker, deeper more animalic and smoky facets of the fragrance; while the devil is stressing the sweet vanillic more innocent notes contained therein. It would seem you have a dark angel and a sweet devil! ;-) Now I know you already have a bunch of videos out and ideas and plans for many more but when you mentioned saving the rest of Rimal for when the weather turned cooler I thought even though he does Early Impression videos maybe (in cases like Rimal and others) you could do a subseries like "...On second though" or Second Thoughts or whatever. You always mention how the Nose (and tstes) can change over time; it might be nice to see how that applies in your fragrant world. What da ya think? smell swell & be well! xox

And I'm with you on the Oud being among the best from the house. I'd like to add that to the collection some day. So have you run thru the whole set? Which haven't you tried yet? Looks like this brand is not for you, I think second generation won't blow you too which is completly fine. On the other hand I adore SoD fragrances, have Haibah,Narjesi,Diwan, Meydan, Abraj, Fakhama and Turath and love them all and planning to add Baz as next. Second gen is much better quality than first one and I can buy them officialy for 30% less so in the end its not that bad. I sold most my Bortnikoffs, Amouages etc and replaced them with SoD that's how I love them especially Haibah which is best natural wearable oud fragrance(ofc in my opinion only). Other funny note is my girlfriend don't like almost any Roja, Amouage, Boadicea, Bortnikoff or any expensive fragrances at least she is not finding almost any worth the money however she loves everything from SoD even the heavy ouds(she hates oud) So as you see and as I learned with fragrances there are no bad or good ones, all is just personal preferences. If you ever have a chance try to sample something from Hind al Oud, an amazing middle eastern brand, its a Roja of middle east :P
@@RamseytheRam Thats why sample/visiting stores is a key. Sometimes is much 'cheaper' to buy something localy at retail by testing it couple of times and being sure its something you connect and being sure that fragrance will stay with you for a long time. For example with Dubais I didnt like them at all at first but it clicked after few sampling sessions and store visits

You will enjoy it. I haven’t smell a good amount of rose theme fragrances as yet, but many that has smelled it on me say how great it smell.
Meydan is on another level. Best leather fragrance there is!!

You should try Haibah and Majalis, two of my favorites on the line.
I think those are from the 2nd collection... this sample set is all the 1st collection... but I will put them on the to sniff list 🍻

Mentioning Japanese fragrances..... Shiseido and Kanebo's have some underated gems as does Pola and Menard, they really are worth a try.
