You are an excellent teacher! ❤You have a pleasant voice timbre, great diction! 🔥Modern TV presenters need to take lessons from you in order to talk as beautifully! Excuse me for my poor English, I am a Russian person. I live in Siberia.

Hi Mr. Marty. I like to recreate engraved stamp frames from yesteryear postage stamps. The vector frame is usually about 8.5" x 8.5" (2550 x 2550 pixels) 300 dpi. I want to apply your technique to an image which is then laid inside the vector frame. When preparing the photo/image using your technique, what resolution and size do you recommend? 72 dpi? 300 dpi? It seems that the vector frame and the image should be the same dpi and about the same size.

I used 150 ppi for this image. If your frame is 300 dpi, you can increase your engraved stamp to 300 dpi, as well.

Always try to keep the purpose of your design in mind while you're designing it. Keep it simple, direct and powerful. Understand the visual tensions of a design's positive & negative space; how colors interact with each other & size relationships.
