【tricot】
“tricot” is a Japanese rock band that was formed in the historical and cultural city of Kyoto on Sep 1, 2010.
The band develops an unusual and distinctive sound that consists of harmonization of pop and emotional vocals with a complex rhythm. The members are not familiar with math rock and such harmonization is not created on purpose.
“tricot” has been to many places around the world and successfully held a total of 109 shows overseas through 3 Asia tours, 2 Europe tours including a supporting act for Pixies in the UK, US tours and UK tours. Their concert events are often sold-out and tricot is active throughout the world as musicians.

I like the fact that they're still a bit niche cos it means we get to see them perform in these small cozy venues. Dunno about you but I'd take that over a massive, impersonal arena any day. That said, it wasn't until I saw em in Leicester that I realised how popular they were in the UK!

I loved the little twitter videos from every place they visited and played at. After the Manchester gig where I was they hit the town and got totally trolleyed, especially Ikku, who slid out of frame, much to the amusement of Hirohiro

@@greggerypeccary Unfortunately, many years ago I never heard of Tricot. Now that I have, and now that I have three of their CD's to enjoy, I would love to see them live.
@@MFPhoto1 Yes, I also didn't discover them before they sold out (and have been kicking myself over it...) and thus was eager to catch them in the UK this past summer. Just saying they were in DC and played where the cool people go.

Most of the UK venues were about 150 people. The Garage was biggest and is 600.
