I don't live far from you guys and I built a frame with 8 1/2 foot pontoons to float my can am which I no longer have. Would love to see it on your channel floating mud life!
Call it what U want... I'm just happy this sxsblog vid didn't end in destruction or crashes or roll-overs or blown engines. All jokes aside, love the content, keep up the good work. Get those barrels 6-8" lower and it should lift the wheels/car high enough in the water to actually propel it and not slow it down. And try driving it backwards, you might actually have some steering.
If you mount an outboard motor on the back, use sea-doo steering cables to hook up to the steering column on the Ranger so you don’t have to have two people driving and they can work in conjunction with the front tires to steer
A while back it was explained when Doug decided to devote all of his time to the channel. Pretty sure I remember his profession mentioned a few times in much older videos as well.
I love this video. Remove the rear barrelt, add one more barrelt to each side, extend the sides out to make it wider to possibly have a platform on, then mount and outboard on the rear. And maybe plastic barrelts instead. Thanks for your content.
The first thing that came to mind for me was the Fordson screw drive tractor that you could buy many many decades ago. Search that model and it comes right up in the results
We use to submerge two aluminum rocket fuel tanks about the size of a drum on a stainless rack to chem mill the outside of them and had to use two 55 gal. drums of water to sink them.
The early 90s adrenaline music!!!! Lmao!!! Makes me wanna drink a budweiser while running on a beach with 90s pam anderson towards my fighter jet where flash gordon (sam jones) is my copilot!!
Too funny!!!! Loved every minute of it!!! This and the 4th of July tire inflation show two of my favorite TH-cam videos!!! Thanks for another great video.
I love watching your content! I thought it was funny the kid knew to hide behind dug to get out of frame. I appreciate what you guys do, keep kicking A!
Take it a few steps forward. Use inflatable pontoons (like rescue rafts) attached to arms that lower from roll cage top. Use aluminum or space cage design if possible to keep light. Sherp like paddle tires would help but jet ski propulsion would be awesome. Make it a kit to sell.
If you guys put a 6x6 ranger diff in it with the pass through you could weld a prop shaft on the pass through of the diff and mount a prop to the rear diff, that way you can still use the engine to propell yourself
Mount the drums lower raising the RZR more out of the water and get the top half of the tires out of the water too. Keep everybody dry and give better propulsion.
Weld a big ol' skid plate to the underside of that front barrelt, make the side barrelts pointy at the front and strap on a outboard...n get you an offroad party boat!
You can easily put an extended ball from your mini Reese hitch and extend it out and then mount an electric trolling motor right there and put the battery in the back it would be pretty cool
I can’t wait to see this thing evolve, you should put some bilge pumps in it. Maybe propel it with a fan in the bed, that would give you turning ability too.
If you moved the side pontoons to the bottom of the bracket to get the top of the wheels out of the water, you would get a lot better movement. The top of the wheel throwing water forward cancels out a lot of the power the bottom is making. Maybe paddle wheels too to get some extra thrust like the old water wheel steam boats.
You're absolutely correct. They need the tops 1/3 of the tires above water. As is, the top part of the tire is pushing back nearly as hard as the bottom part is pushing forward.
YOU GUYS NEED TO DO A SXS DUCKBOAT TOUR AROUND THE TOWN….LAND AND WATER. AMAZING VIDEO GUYS. I COULDN’T WAIT TO SEE WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN. YOU GUYS ARE ALWAYS MORE THAN PREPARED FOR THESE OUTINGS.
We have achieved the ultimate lift kit.
Please mount an outboard motor in the bed . Please
You guys rock
You guys should seal the cockpit next! that thing will actually be epic i'd love to see an amphibious series haha
paddle tires next?
Sand paddles might do the trick...
I fixed it. Continue on
Thanks Cleet!
Hell yea brother
What a legend
Next best thing to a supercharged jet boat. Right?
What did you fix bro?
Mom can we get a Sherp? We have a Sherp at home...The Sherp at home...😅😅😅
DAVID!!!!!!!!
Legend
Lmao
🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣 sums it up pretty well…
I don't live far from you guys and I built a frame with 8 1/2 foot pontoons to float my can am which I no longer have. Would love to see it on your channel floating mud life!
They need it!!
Let’s go!!!
Definitely send them an email
How did Doug make it the whole video without someone inflating that life vest on him!! 😆
I love seeing creative ways to get Doug a bath.
If you mount an outboard motor on the back, use sea-doo steering cables to hook up to the steering column on the Ranger so you don’t have to have two people driving and they can work in conjunction with the front tires to steer
You could also use a remote switch, then you could drive it from anywhere in the car and not have anyone in the driver seat.
Nice work on THE CREECH!!! Nicely done!!
Best part 80’s montage 👍👍 🎶 🎶🔥🔥 floating ranger was pretty cool too
SXS mini boat next. I demand it!
Gotta get some tall paddle tires for mud life, then you will have more cruising speed in the water haha
Had a pretty shitty day until I watched this vid! I mean the energy you guys had when arriving at the lake… You guys are the best!
try a set of paddle tires and see how good that works
I ain't got the money for a SxS but I've been watching for years. because you guys are from Michigan love the content !
Loved the 80s rock while assembling the barrelts
you guys have restored my faith in humanity, the utv humanity.... i have literal tears.... of pure f****ing joy!!
120ft huh. Def wud like to see someone dive down there n see what kinda stuff ppl been tryin to get rid of…
Doug is a beast. Picked up 3 barrelts. Legend. Lmao
I love it when a plan comes together!
I saw Boat Life and Maysink in the comments. I'm partial to USS Maysink.
There are times I have to remind myself that Doug is an engineer and probably quit a six figure job to do what he loves.
A while back it was explained when Doug decided to devote all of his time to the channel. Pretty sure I remember his profession mentioned a few times in much older videos as well.
@@iankenney6515 I’m pretty sure it was mentioned he was an OTR truck driver. I could be wrong.
Saw the thumbnail and knew it was gonna be a good one.
I love this video.
Remove the rear barrelt, add one more barrelt to each side, extend the sides out to make it wider to possibly have a platform on, then mount and outboard on the rear. And maybe plastic barrelts instead.
Thanks for your content.
Is this sean jones from Ormond? Lol
The first thing that came to mind for me was the Fordson screw drive tractor that you could buy many many decades ago. Search that model and it comes right up in the results
@@billbry Colifurze did a screw tank a while back for one of the game apps like that tractor.
We use to submerge two aluminum rocket fuel tanks about the size of a drum on a stainless rack to chem mill the outside of them and had to use two 55 gal. drums of water to sink them.
Good ole trolling motor wired right in shoulda been already thought of for the test run haha
I'm ABOUT this build!!
Simply put your guyts shenaniganst make me smile after a long day! Keep up the good stuff. And thank u
I did this on my Arctic cat 1000 about eight years ago I only used four barrels and it was kick ass people loved it at the off-road parks
I love the 80s metal montage music!!
You guys have been killin it with the vid ideas lately
That 80's montage music was so good Leo used the whole song! lol Great Vid!
Put sand paddles on it to help with propulsion maybe?
G.O.A.T. Of Float!!!
Thank you I needed this today!!!!!
sometimes I skip through the build laps but that Music made me watch the whole thing! Haha Love you guys!
The early 90s adrenaline music!!!! Lmao!!! Makes me wanna drink a budweiser while running on a beach with 90s pam anderson towards my fighter jet where flash gordon (sam jones) is my copilot!!
Great. Looking forward to the improved version.
Also skid plate going from the front barrel under the front of the vehicle help get over the water better
That looked like a total blast...I would bet Ostacruiser would Say it needs Assassinators. They would propel you.. Thanks for the video..👍✌️
Mount either trolling motors or small outboards on the barrels and use them to help turn it.
U guys are a blast to watch!!!
this montage music was fantastic
SXSBlog y'all rock! Love the channel and content! I'm here for the algorithm! Peace
Too funny!!!!
Loved every minute of it!!!
This and the 4th of July tire inflation show two of my favorite TH-cam videos!!!
Thanks for another great video.
You gays are really crazy and funny! Following you all way from Fortaleza, Ceará - Brazil!!!
Currently looking for barrelts and a trolling motor for my RZR
That is cool that is really bad ass good job guys One of the best videos
That 80s music with the montage, good stuff.
I like the "POLARIS WAVE RANGER" looking forward to the project.
what about inflatable pontoon system, that is removable....😁
PXP
(POLARIS BY PONTOON)
Would really like to see you revisit this with a makeshift transom and a little outboard motor
Awesome video guys!
So cool. Thank you for the great entertainment. Keep up the good work!
Pure fun video. Love it!!
Awesome boat boys!! Mount a weed eater down each side with propellors on them. Rear passengers could operate them! Classic!
I have to pause the video, that was the best montage EVER!!!
this is the best episode that I have seen so far.
for a minute there I thought I was watch an episode of A Team.
Hook a long shaft outboard to the tailgate so it can go faster In the water
I love watching your content! I thought it was funny the kid knew to hide behind dug to get out of frame. I appreciate what you guys do, keep kicking A!
That bed looks like a good spot for a paramotor and air rudder.
Steve and Leo Veganfield killing it. Good job!
🤟 good stuff!!
Go Twin outboard!
Montage out of a A-Team episode.
I think 2wd in the water would help you can see the front pushing alot of water out front
Yes exactly
Backwoods Blueberries, best place for berries and Rangetoons it seems.
You could put a propeller on the front drive shaft. Have fun.
Try mounting the tires backwards for more propulsion;)
We welded ours together 4 wide on both sides 3 in front 3 in rear ours worked but it was a hulled out van on a deep ass pond
If you guys put a 6x6 ranger diff in it with the pass through you could weld a prop shaft on the pass through of the diff and mount a prop to the rear diff, that way you can still use the engine to propell yourself
Love the 80's montage music!
Steve looks so happy and healthy, I love it!
What's up with Steve? Is he sick somehow?...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
You need to drill a hole into barrels and but a tire valve stem in to increase the air pressure
Needs an outboard motor on the tailgate
This was definitely fun to watch 😂 kinda makes me think you guys should do a Argo build
So sickk guys. Want to see more of this to moving through the water
Mount the drums lower raising the RZR more out of the water and get the top half of the tires out of the water too. Keep everybody dry and give better propulsion.
Put paddle tires on and do it again I bet it would scoot pretty good.
Love the A team /McGyver music playing in the background
Weld a big ol' skid plate to the underside of that front barrelt, make the side barrelts pointy at the front and strap on a outboard...n get you an offroad party boat!
So glad that your plans came together and worked out!👍✌️😎 Maybe try some paddle tires?🤔😉🏁
Add two trolling motors to the pontoons. You could control them from the drivers seat.
You should have dlipped tires to opposition direction so paddles will work as better propulsion
Trolling motor, like a 24 or 36 volt, you could go trolling for walleye on Lake St. Clair. LOL. Great video. Well done.
You can easily put an extended ball from your mini Reese hitch and extend it out and then mount an electric trolling motor right there and put the battery in the back it would be pretty cool
Should try and float the new to you Raptor next.
U drill a hole in the barrels and put a air connector so you can put more air in them for more floatation
Tall paddle tires work great in the water
I like “float life” . Another good video. Keep them coming!
I love the all new mudlake it's amazing
That water looks so clear!
I can’t wait to see this thing evolve, you should put some bilge pumps in it. Maybe propel it with a fan in the bed, that would give you turning ability too.
Try to put a propeller over the centre propshaft that will work
Why. Was that the best montage ever!!!
As is, the top part of the tire is pushing back nearly as hard as the bottom part is pushing forward.
the song over the build was 🔥🔥
Now all you need is those balloon tires that are on those beach bikes that go in the water
YOU GUYS NEED TO DO A SXS DUCKBOAT TOUR AROUND THE TOWN….LAND AND WATER.
AMAZING VIDEO GUYS. I COULDN’T WAIT TO SEE WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN. YOU GUYS ARE ALWAYS MORE THAN PREPARED FOR THESE OUTINGS.
All you need now is a trolling motor on the front that hooks to a tie rod to steer.
Did Steve bring his stool?
