MLawrence2008 Certainly did, I was looking for sounds of these cranes working when I found it, and my love of 350 shunters stopped me LOL, been to the Bluebell many times and have some videos up myself, don't recall seeing the crane before!
MikesMovies The crane is still undergoing a cosmetic restoration and is hoped to feature in a goods train one day. It is currently out of general view at Horsted Keynes north yard but can be seen (depending on what other stock is in the way). One day the hope is to restore it once more to fully working condition but there is currently no time frame for that. :(The crane was working in the 80's and helped lay the first track panel on the Northern extension from Horsted (See here for photo with the then local MP) - www.bluebell-railway-museum^co^uk/50images/bimages/61.jpgand here for the restoration pages - www.bluebell-railway^co^uk/bluebell/crane/oh_crane.html
What a beast! I wonder if she'll be in working condition again some time... 9f and 4mt seem to have been burried in those sidings, unless they've been shunted elsewhere?
That coach attached to the crane at Kingscote was the crew coach for the Brighton Breakdown Crane.
That's quite some machine. Like a dinosaur being disinterred.
what a fascinating video, loved it, thanks very much
MikesMovies Glad you enjoyed it Mike :)

Ouch! Old bones - I hope someone was kind enough to apply some lubrication - all that creaking and groaning makes me wince.
I assume the guy walking beside it is looking for overheating axle boxes, hope he remembers his high viz next time
Great video. What depot was she allocated to?
cool
