Hello Bilikis...thanks for the updated version of the basic bodice. Please my question is this; some people teach that to get the chest line, the armhole measurement starts after the 1inche shoulder slope, that is, after diving bust by 6 and adding 1.5inches, you impute what you get after the 1inch shoulder slope. Please what's the implications of doing this? Thanks.

That’s my question too,coz if ur arm hole is 8inches and u impute 1 inch for the shoulder slop that means u will remain with 7 which is less ☹️☹️.But unfortunately she won’t answer 😢 .

You simply take your armhole one inch lower to make up for d shoulder slope. Hope this helps 😊

You have to increase the drat intake for plus sizes.

The basic bodice is to check the fitting, so we don't have to give seam allowance to finish it.Maybe if you want to make a real garment, then you have to give allowance to finish the neckline .

for plus size you go up 2 inches above the bust line, and 2inches below the bust point, as against the 1 inch used here
