- Here are all the easter eggs and references to other games, movies, suda51, etc. I could find in No More Heroes III. Some are obvious while others are a bit more obscure. If you know of any easter eggs I missed let me know in the comments.
We have Gundam, Kamen Riders, The Smiths, Zelda, Star Fox, Rocky, Terminator, Takashi Miike, Smash Bros., Daemon X Machina, X-files, and a whole bunch more crammed into this new game. - เกม

That's not even true. It's implied in Travis strikes again AND in three, he is a clone made from the death drive. It's explained how it makes clones in TSA and in NMH3 it connects the clones and the cult. Thor was a joke reference. Don't spread misinformation

Even though it’s explained, it’s still one of the few things that I honestly really dislike about nmh3. Like the design change would have been fine, but the fact that he’s essentially nothing like how he once was is straight up bad.
We made the sushi shop theme song, "Itadakimasu" with MEEBEE, and wanted to say thank you for making this video and keeping NMH3 alive! This video is really cool!
the way Travis climbs and backflips off the the trees i think is a reference to a similar animation from Mario 64 and subsequent 3-D mario games.

The Sonic Juice conversation is about how FF7 almost made Travis break his controller and how even if they remake it, he’s not going anywhere near FF7 because the characters look retarded.
I think they're saying that the characters look Nomura. Like he's griping about how Nomura's style is stupid (Which it is.)
@@GormlessGob Maybe I just don't want to believe that Travis would be that insensitive. He's an asshole and pretty crass but I don't see that being in his character. Either way I think it makes more sense in the tone of NMH3 for him to be complaining about Nomura.

The whole ending credits scene is a direct reference to Marvel’s end credits tradition of always setting up the next plot, No More Heroes Forever!
Suda said before the game’s release that this was his last time working on No More Heroes
The smash reference definitely isn't spiteful since he got Sakurai to playthrough NMH3 and he really enjoyed the Smash fight
Not only that, a Mii costume and Spirits.

Suda thought it was a bit too much to parody Smash. He mentioned it to Nintendo and they said “yeah. Sounds fun. Do it. Definitely do it”. So he did.
They explain that Henry went crazy because he watched Thor and compared himself and Travis to Thor and Loki
The funny part being Henry thinks he's thor and thinks Travis being the evil assassin is Loki, even tho Henry literally wields 2 swords and has green as an over color lmao

The mass produced destory man's head spins are a reference to no more heroes 2 on how one of the destroy men's heads being sliced in the same manner by Shinobu
And the sections of their heads spinning is in reference to Shinobu killing the "good" Destroyman by spinning herself with her sword inside his brain

Kamui's changing appearance is due to the fact that he has a reincarnation ability, if I understand the silver case correctly. I suspect Henry has the same ability since it manifests as a silver eye, and we always see him with sunglasses, except once during a VN segment where we see one of his eyes sort of glowing (and, well, he seems to reincarnate).
Also, I'm pretty sure Asano Inio was the one who did thr redesign. His art is featured in game too.
This Kamui is also different from Uehara and Akira (aka Big Dick).
Considering Silver Case is largely about the Shelter Children late in the game, he could be just another Kamui clone. The series also tease the Heaven Smile from K7 as well so the connection isn't too far-fetched.

@@KadathII Silver Case has a file late game that implies that Mikumo supplies Curtis Blackburn with orphans and given that we know that Shelter Children are bred to be terrorists or at least pawns, I figured Heaven's Smiles are either failed experiments or the final result of the program.

Theres another terminator reference in the lava caves side missions (i forget what they were called) but if you fall into the lava, Travis stretches out his hand and does a thumbs up as he goes down the lava
At 10:14, the pose is a reference to the Japanese Wrestler Keiji Mutoh. If you watch any match with him (or played Yakuza Kiwami 2 lol), he’s known for doing that pose.
10:15 that pose after making a payment is reference of japanese pro wrestler Keiji Mutoh 'the great Muta'
It should also be mentioned that Native Dancer was designed by one of Borderlands’ concept artists, and thus resembles Zer0

Damon Riccitiello is a clear parody of EA CEO John Riccitiello. John Riccitiello had interfered with the direction of Shadows of the DAMNED, resulting in a game that was far from Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami's original vision. I believe Suda included this reference in No More Heroes 3 as a middle finger to EA and its CEO.
To answer the question of why Naomi is a tree, its because she's dead. She was already old in the last 2 games. Her body was dying.. so at some point, to keep her mind alive, she turned herself into a Sakura tree to stay alive longer. Sakura are the trees that show, peace, vitality, and new beginnings. So think Pickle Rick but with purpose
Henry went crazy because he watch Thor and realized that the conflict between Thor and Loki parallels Henry and Travis.
Y'know, you forgot the podcast icons being pretty made in the Doctor Slump artstyle. Travis' icon outright looks like Taro.
So to explain why Smash is in NMH3:
Apparently Nintendo originally approached SUDA51 about adding Travis to Smash, but SUDA51 opposed the idea and wanted to include Sumio Mondo from his game "Flower, Sun, and Rain" instead, after Nintendo insisted that they put Travis in Smash, SUDA51 decided to just put Smash in NMH.
Its not the opposite?
The pose he does after paying the entry fee is The Great Muta's pose.
What about the doppelganger, his poses seem awfully... Bizarre ;)
Travis also straight up name drops, "Kamen Rider Zi-O" right before the Midori Midorikawa fight.

When Travis said he's a "passing assassin". I am not sure if that's a reference to Kamen Rider Decade where the main protagonist's catchphrase is "I am just a passing Kamen Rider....."
Before the Sonic Juice fight, when he is slowly approaching Travis and Jeane. This is a reference to Diamond Weapon approaching the shoreline for battle in FF7.

The enemy "FullFace" may be a direct reference to Biker's character design from Hotline Miami.
In the beginning of the Midori level, Travis referenced One Missed Call.
You missed the reference where Bishop straight up said "MCU" during one of the podcast sections.
While they do share names with the Gundams you mentioned, the chips are named after Ultraman Cosmos, Victory and Justice, which are more recent Ultras
Naomi was apparently like 60 something in 2, so she probably used some technology shit to turn into a tree. Since trees live to be well over 100.
If travis falls in the lava pit during the mining missions. He does the T2 thumbs up thing.
In the King Jess Baptiste animated cinematic at the very end, a purple cross-shaped explosion appears in the background as his army arrives, this is a reference to Evangelion.

This has also a couple of Dragon Ball references too, from the pictures on the talks with Travis and Bishop and also the ending with Hunter and Jeane is also a reference about Future Trunks first appearence.
There's also a poltergeist Easter egg in the haunted school. In one of the rooms the desks are arranged to like a table and the chairs are placed ontop of it like they are in the movie.
Some of Sylvia's outfits reference Marvel superheroes like Cap Marvel
There’s a great Mazinger reference when Damon summons his mech he shouts Thunder break. Which is the signature move of great Mazinger. Also both great Mazinger and Damon’s mech are incredibly big

6:56 Notorious is also a character who appeared in the TSA text/adventure sections and from the Fire Pro Wrestling series, which was one of the first games he actually wrote that was infamous for a death scene of the wrestling protagonist

12:37 is definitely more of a callback to Twilight Syndrome than Fatal Frame IV due to the school setting in NMH3 (God please localize both Syndrome and FF4)

In Call of Battle is interesting how all this map have a brown filter that was widely used in the golden age of the CoD franchise and that several other franchises copied in the 7th generation (PS3/Xbox 360)

My impression from the Sonic Juice argument is that you could drop most popular JRPG series in there and that may have been the point. The more interesting part is Travis' general attitude of "It's not for me, but there's nothing wrong with that" an approach to media that pops up in multiple scenes. some people enjoy characters who look like **********!
