I am an upper intermediate, classical hobbyist and I purchased a CA49 about a month ago at a huge discount. If you are like me, play classical music with piano sound 99% of the time, this piano makes perfect sense to choose over a used, worn-out or a generic acoustic upright, or even a CN301 -which I had tried side by side before purchasing. The speakers are strong enough to fill in a mid-sized apartment with a lot of bass presence and the action is very responsive and engaging. I would have loved the bluetooth audio option on the CA401 or the connectivity options of a CA501 but, as a compensation, with the savings I made I am planning to buy a Roland Fp30x for recording and to have fun with.
I have this piano, and I find it much more to my liking compared to my previous Kawai CN301. It produces a deep, full-bodied tone and sounds particularly superb in a mellow-dramatic style.
Isn't it middle C for it's position on the ledger line between treble and bass clef staves? Less to do with the instrument and more to do with written music?
Thank you for playing different demo music for each sound instead of the same music on each. Love the sound. Would it be a good practice piano for a church pianist/organist?

Oooh! Been waiting to see what has changed!!!
Well not much had changed since the CA49. Glad I got the CA49 on clearance price. Saved lots of money.

Could you please elaborate on using the inbuilt lessons. THX

Do you prefer the cn-301 or the ca401?
I'm new and my opinion was that "middle C" was the C closest to the middle not the middle key.......
Yes, like, among the Cs, it's the one in the middle.
