I totally teared up when you cried during the shorts set. I remember you had mentioned that you don't wear shorts before because of leg self consciousness but you have really nice legs. You have nothing to be worried about. You looked 10/10 in all the outfits. I'm self conscious about my arms so I don't wear tank tops in public so I get it. I wear them around the house though to get myself more comfortable. Maybe if you wear the shorts set around the house to get comfortable, you'll be able to wear it out one day like you mentioned.
That's the thing though, most of us technically have "nothing to be worried about" - but it doesn't help how we FEEL about certain parts of ourselves. There is so many cool things you can wear without feeling insecure, so we all should just pick things that make us feel like a goddess. ❤️

Nothing feels weird but freeing as your leg hair blows in the wind 😂 I’m blessed with light colored leg hair so I don’t feel a big need to shave all the time. But also I don’t wear shorts too often anyway
My mom just told me the other day to start considering my age when shopping (I'm going to be 29 in July), and having heard you talk about this philosophy before, I had the courage to stand up to her and tell her that it didn't matter if people were whispering about how it was shameful that I was trying to look 20.
I’m 35 and dress in whatever the heck I want because I can. There is no “dress for your age” it is dress for your comfort. I’m not going around wearing heels that hurt my feet and fancy clothes when I’m in a uniform 90% of the week.
Also I think sometimes it’s nice having someone else make us step outside of our comfort zone, you are absolutely gorgeous enjoy that matching short track suit

Alex, I have never looked at your legs and thought “ew”. I’m jealous of the shape of your legs because I hate the shape of mine. I guess it goes to show how our brains just want to create an issue for us when there isn’t something wrong with how we look.
To be honest, I don't think our brains create most body-related issues. It may create body dysmorphia, but other than that, we learn that cellulite (which is probably what Alex is insecure about) and other insecurities are something to be ashamed of from hearing people make fun of these things. Even if you weren't shamed for something yourself, if you hear someone else get shamed for it, you learn that it must be a bad thing and something to be insecure about.

Hello! I'm from LA and can confirm we have winter. It gets to be 60°F. So not terribly cold. Also I think you nailed chill LA. It is a lot of lounge wear and birkenstocks. Anything we can slip into with minimal effort.

I totally relate to the leg moment. In high school I was told by my principal I couldn't wear shorts because "some girls can't wear the things other girls can" and I didn't wear shorts even in private until I was 27. @@Clepo_G No it's not. An average t-shirt, size S, is 25 inches in length. An XL is 29 inches in length. The difference is so negligible, I doubt a big brand like Princess Polly would even notice it. Not to mention the fact that they would have a major increase in sales if they would extend their size range. That would more than make up for the miniscule extra cost for making larger sizes.

I have dark brown hair and i have not gone back to my natural colour since 3 and a half years ago,i only let my roots grow once for ten months and i didnt bleach them because i really didnt want to put the effort.I dont miss my natural colour even tho i wait long periods of time each time(at least 5 months) to bleach my roots

I totally relate to the leg moment. In high school I was told by my principal I couldn't wear shorts because "some girls can't wear the things other girls can" and I didn't wear shorts even in private until I was 27. I still feel extremely self conscious about my thighs in public. I appreciate your vunerability and hope this is a healing step forward for you in finding strength and confidence. @@Clepo_G No it's not. An average t-shirt, size S, is 25 inches in length. An XL is 29 inches in length. The difference is so negligible, I doubt a big brand like Princess Polly would even notice it. Not to mention the fact that they would have a major increase in sales if they would extend their size range. That would more than make up for the miniscule extra cost for making larger sizes.

Seriously? Do you know how incredibly stupid and insensitive that was? Losing weight isn't always possible, and it's never easy. And the average size of a woman in the US is 16-18. 14-16 in Australia which translates to a US size 10-12. Which, according to Modeling Wisdom, is considered plus sized. It's because of people like you that so many young people develop eating disorders. People like you are the problem, not our bodies. And don't you dare say it's not healthy. There are plus-sized people who rarely eat junk food. I can't stand sweets and I don't eat large portions. I sometimes have to be reminded to eat. My doctor has confirmed that I'm healthy as a horse. Yet I'm an 18-20 depending on the article of clothing. It's biology, sweetheart, there's only so much we can do about it. Maybe think a little bit before you say something like that again.

I have dark brown hair and i have not gone back to my natural colour since 3 and a half years ago,i only let my roots grow once for ten months and i didnt bleach them because i really didnt want to put the effort.I dont miss my natural colour even tho i wait long periods of time each time(at least 5 months) to bleach my roots
