At first I hated Kaiba but I started to like him as the series went by. Especially in the movie dark side of dimensions. This theme is so freaking good and Kaiba’s definitely the best rival in Yu-Gi-Oh.
Honestly same here, at first I thought he was just stupidly rich and good at the game for no reason but the more I saw him and the more I understood him, the better he became. Orphaned at a young age with his brother, promising to make his and his brother’s dreams of making a theme park into a reality, challenging the world’s richest Chess champion to a game of chess with the only term being if he won he and his brother would be adopted. His adopted father made his life hell, gave him 2 percent of the company telling him all he had to do to prove himself was return the property value 100 fold by the end of the year, and what does Seto do? He does it in the next DAY, buys 51% of the weapons company from his adopted father, shaming him to the point he leaves and disappears(in the maga the man kills himself from the sheer embarrassment of loosing his own company to the brat he adopted because of a chess game) He turned that weapons company around purely into one dedicated to entertainment, and he keeps going. He is the best rival character in all of Yugioh, because throughout everything he didn’t believe in fate to help him, he became equal in skill to The pharaoh and Yugi with nothing but raw skill and intellect. He’s the most materialistic person in the Yugioh universe, and he deserves to be, he is Seto Kiaba, and he is the BEST

"Ive put my very Soul into this Deck, so no one can pose a Challenge, not even you!" - Jack while facing off against Yusei after the Events of 5DS. He didnt gave up. If he loses he will even say something along the lines of :This wont extuinguish my fire!" Of course Kaiba had some Character Development and in the very of Saison 1, he even acknowledged Yugi as a good duelist(and not just as a vessel) and they kinda became friends before he changed his mind so dsod can happen. Inconcistency. While Jack is Always ready to face new challenges to become better. (If you Fight a member of 5Ds, He will say:"We've achieved all we can as a Team, so i'll tackle new challenges solo from now on!" And eventually defeat Yusei. But as a good friend-Rival, not as Dick-Rival. They always were friends.
Sometimes I have this in my head whenever i use my Blue Eyes deck, just has this also majestic-ness I can't describe. Bonus points if the game was hard, too

I’d love for kaiba to have his moment and defeat yugi/the pharaoh in a current day duel . Just a flat out 1v1 no “plot” forcing yugi to win , no shadow games to save someone , no bullshit end of the world drama , no “kaiba this duel is dangerous and we need to end it !” Bs , just a straight up blue eyes v dark magician all out duel . My money is on kaiba
I feel Kaibas resentment and Hate but I Kno the true power of love I use to duel dudes wit way stronger decks but always well most times end up winning because of my well placed thought process it's really satisfying when I Kno u can't win off sheer power and still do because of well placed help cards

Sometimes I think: What if Duel Links made a special event focusing on Kaiba's journey to the afterlife after the movie's events? Maybe something for the movie's 10th anniversary and as a tribute to Takahashi.
I would like to see kaiba with a beard...still aggressive and non chalaunt but wise using buster bladder and dark paladin with his dragons like I do to confuse opponents... You never see it coming I call that deck Kaiba learns the Truth and highest win streak is 22wins
Fun fact: After all these years, Blue-Eyes White Dragon is still the strongest Normal card out there.
