We see just how far they have grown up. But most Importantly the bravery of the other students helping them who are facing these things for the fist time. So powerful

The reason why this scene feels so complete and so nostalgic is because of the subtle and natural referencing of all the movies previous this one. As many have said this before, Ill say it again: Philosphers Stone: Being chased by a troll Chamber of Secrets: Chased by Acromantula Prizoner of Azkaban: Encountering a Werewolf Goblet of Fire: Cedric's death(but posed by Lavender Brown) Order of the Pheonix: Dementor attack at the Beginning Half-Blood Prince: Theyre going to meet the Half-Blood Prince Its also a nice touch that you see them so strong and mighty when in the castle, but when they leave the doors, theyre running away from everything like when they were kids.

We know that he returns for the battle, along with the Chaser girls, and see him carry bodies, but not much else. Fitting way for him to fight huh? 😊😊
Fun fact: when hogwarts was repaired after the battle, professor mcgonagall got pictured of the students that died in the battle and hung them up in their favorite places of the castle 💔
For the students who stayed to fight, I wondered if they used the avada kedavra. The death eaters can easily use it, but for a 17 or 18 year old student - I can't see them do it as easily. Puts them at a great disadvantage even before battling
Well, to do it, you need to MEAN it. Not just that, but to ENJOY it. Take pleasure in the death of that person. If you do it just for righteous revenge, it will not do it.

Are we not going to talk about the part where Harry basically saves Hermione when he held his arm out to catch her and pushed her back behind him before she ran past the door and would have been hit. I also loved the way she held onto his arm once she hit it and didn't let go for another second or two. It was like Harry knew she would keep going even after she saw both Harry and Ron stop at the wall for cover. It just shows you how well Harry knows Hermione. I just love it.

I LOVE how when the Gryffindor trio fights their way through this ultimate Hogwarts skirmish, they have run-ins with several of the creatures they've faced already as kids; somewhere within the first several movies. And that epic music in background to literally back this up? It sends chills up my spine EVERY time...
This scene is so heartbreaking impactful and legit at the same time just imagine all the lives that were lost that night and everyone who died to keep peace to the wizarding world so seeing this just makes it all the more tragic especially for the people who read the books and knew what was going to happen

I would just like to know what professors McGonagall, Slughorn and Flitwick were all doing during this intense battle. Like these teachers are old and may have trouble running. Not doubting their abilities because they’re all very powerful wizards and witches, but like what would they be doing in such a hectic situation. I’m sure McGonagall would’ve had fun and completely destroyed heaps of death eaters and Slughorn would’ve been inside the great hall. But the ting is some of these teachers would’ve been fighting old students who they wouldn’t want to hurt, unless they hated them. So yeah
Star Gazer in the books Flitwick takes down Dolohoph and Slughorn, McGonagall, and Kingsley Shacklebolt all dueled Voldemort at the same time. Professor Trelawney also takes down Greyback after he killed Lavender Brown. That’s all I could remember lol.
In this exact moment , by the books , McGonagall enchanted the entire desks of Hogwarts and made a stampede out of it. Later on , she and Slughorn were dueling Voldermort.
Idk why you are worrying about McGonagall and Filtwick, cuz Filtwick was the second best dueler in the school, and McGonagall can take four stunning spells at once, as shown in the 5th book

I LOVE how when the Gryffindor trio fights their way through this ultimate Hogwarts skirmish, they have run-ins with several of the creatures they've faced already as kids; somewhere within the first several movies. And that epic music in background to literally back this up? It sends chills up my spine EVERY time...
Seeing all the students fight in the background has to be my favorite part of the sequence
This scene is so heartbreaking impactful and legit at the same time just imagine all the lives that were lost that night and everyone who died to keep peace to the wizarding world so seeing this just makes it all the more tragic especially for the people who read the books and knew what was going to happen
Man it's crazy how epic this scene was you got everyone fighting for their lives against dangerous people creatures that they never dealt with before. You got young wizards still in training to become better strong wizards, with the music playing in the background like its all come down to this no more playing around no more fun and games its about fighting to stay alive.I just which Albus Dumbledore was still alive to help in this battle it would have ended quickly

I would just like to know what professors McGonagall, Slughorn and Flitwick were all doing during this intense battle. Like these teachers are old and may have trouble running. Not doubting their abilities because they’re all very powerful wizards and witches, but like what would they be doing in such a hectic situation. I’m sure McGonagall would’ve had fun and completely destroyed heaps of death eaters and Slughorn would’ve been inside the great hall. But the ting is some of these teachers would’ve been fighting old students who they wouldn’t want to hurt, unless they hated them. So yeah
Star Gazer in the books Flitwick takes down Dolohoph and Slughorn, McGonagall, and Kingsley Shacklebolt all dueled Voldemort at the same time. Professor Trelawney also takes down Greyback after he killed Lavender Brown. That’s all I could remember lol.
In this exact moment , by the books , McGonagall enchanted the entire desks of Hogwarts and made a stampede out of it. Later on , she and Slughorn were dueling Voldermort.

This scene was built up for 8 movies and seven books. Very well executed seeing our favorite castle taking this beating and still coming out strong on the other side.
