Fellow NYC dog walker and I have to agree tourists are the worst part of this job. I cover Chelsea and Hudson Yards and the amount of times people randomly try to pet one of my dogs, especially the not-super-friendly ones, is actually ridiculous. And then they get angry when I tell them to stop lol
Is that a good area to work? I might be relocating to NYC and I walk dogs in SF. I also work a heavy tourist area in the marina and over the last 4.5v yrs I've found the routes to avoid the crowds.
This is so amazing thank you for sharing this insightful and informative video! It really helps to fully experience the whole aspect of the business from this pov. Have a marvelous week!
Hi this is Kanchana from India Bangalore. I am happy to be a dog walker. Really it is awesome. 30 minutes of walk with my first pet Figo.simply i am enjoying what i am doing. Thank you kuddle to gave me this wonderful opportunity.
My biggest question is how do you keep your dogs from being reactive to things in the environment whether it be other people, other dogs, or squirrels, birds, cats. ❓❓❓
Im 12 years old and I wanna start a dog walking business but I don’t know if it will be successful please give me some tips because I wrelly wanna do it and I’m in Germany right now
I would recommend searching up areas that are dog heavy and learning some behavioral tips for working with dogs. Start with a dog who is well behaved and friendly and continue to learn from there! TH-cam is great for tips.
I'd say start with small dogs since you are small at the moment. Lots of pulling and tugging is very hard on the body of adults, and it might wear you out too soon being younger. Try to walk frenchies, terriers, chihuahuas, dachshunds, cairns, and other small dogs like that to build up your experience and confidence
