    Great review. I purchased the RPHA 11 Pro Carbon from you guys a few months back as an upgrade and more subtle presentation than my RPHA 11 Pro Venom helmet. It is subdued, and super slippery. One of the most comfortable helmets that I have ever owned.
    In comparison I have the RF 1400 Shoei, and honestly, it doesn’t compared.
    It was a great purchase and a great deal. Definitely looking into purchasing the RPHA 1 as well!

      Which is quieter, the rpha11 or the rf1400?

      @@jamesasanon5281 my bike's exhaust system is not loud, so my noise level is by the wind noise, in which the rpha 11 is very good at. 80kmh with no wind whistling

      @@devon5078 I was also thinking about getting the EXO R1 but some of the reviews about the quality/ loudness turned me away from it. I can say that between my HJC RPHA 11 vs RPHA N1. The N1 is much quieter. As far as weight goes I honestly don't notice the difference between the two.

      @@devon5078 I own the r1 air and I love it, for me it's comfortable and wind noise is not so bad for a racing helmet. Saftey was my main concern when I bought it a year ago, and thankfully no mishaps yet but it is 5 star rated as far as I know.

    Very informative review! I have a quick question. Why do you rate carbon over fiberglass?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Joost! Carbon is more lightweight and a stronger material. Less material is needed to reach the same strength and therefor it earns more stars!

    How would you compare the sizing of these two helmets ?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Floris, HJC kept the same sizing. So if you have a size M for the RPHA 11, you will need an M for the RPHA 1. But the cheek pads en Liner are thinner on the RPHA 1 compared to the RPHA 11.

      I have two RPHA 11 Pro helmets and I use them for sport riding, not racing. They are super comfortable over long distance and time in the saddle. I think using the RPHA 11 as a sport/tourer is the natural function of this helmet. Now, on the other hand, the RPHA 1 looks to be more track focused.

      I have a Schuberth C5 with Comms, which is near on 1800g. Stop being a fanny if you rethink anything under 1600g is heavy.

      @@Inked_CR It's like apples and oranges. Stop being fanny with your system helmet and your comms. 😂 Are u a police men? Real fanny to be 24/7 reachable. A system helmet is not good for the noise isolation. Comms are not good for the noise isolation and the concentration. Maybe a nice helmet for fanny summer riders or in the city. On the highway is a full faced helmet better. My new scorpio exo r1 is 1500g. Windsound from this one is like if you are sitting in a car.

      @klaasvandrunen3098 I have a RPHA 70 carbon. Quietest helmet I own, over the C5, Klim Krios Pro, and the a GT Air 2. With a comms unit, it's coming in at 98DB and weighs 1530g. And it's about £300, half the cost of every other helmet.
      My initial point was, don't be moaning at the weight of a helmet. Anything under 1800g is perfectly fine. If you moan, you clearly have a woman's neck.

      @@Inked_CR I have a regulaire RPHA 70. It was my favorite for about 3 years. Then i buyed the scorpion exo r1. The scorpion is much and much better with the sound isolation. Plus the price is a lot lower then the newer RPHA also the parts have a lower price. The RPHA 70 have the best ventilation. Scorpion on upper head have only for ventilation open or close. More ventilation more noise. I have wear the 70 so much that even my older RPHA 10 plus carbon is better. Yes my neck is very fine. I do the licking thing from out of my tongue muscles.

    oh boy, I don't like that vid at all. it's too stiff and the picture quality is really awful. creepy look out of the helmet , sitting on the bike like scarecrow. above all english language is never mumbled, like they do in spanish or dutch. // the RPHA1 definitely derserves a better, more enthusiastic and inspiring presentation.
