I loved them. Sgt Bash vs RefBot was hilarious. Forget the name but one robot managed to flip both house bots in one match. It added a really nice dynamic.
We (Rosie the Riveter) fought Sir Killalot in the first season of the American version (filmed at Earl's Court), and by the 2nd season there were machines built to take us out, but, the great part was being backstage and seeing the new competitors' faces when they saw Sir K for the first time and realized what they were up against. I accidentally smashed the timer on the refbot and if it has been an episode of Peaky Blinders I'd be dead now. Tricerabot took Sir K into the pit with it... Rosie had already melted down a speed controller and a motor so she was dragging herself around on one wheel with two others in shunt (electric brake) mode. It took about half an hour for the machines to cool off so we could repair them. The English audiences were freakin' awesome, and I became a huge fan of the UK from the whole experience. [I just realized we're in this. I got cutting oil in one of my eyes earlier and was trying to keep a straight face when all of the cameras were pointed at me.]
I've been wanting to be on Robot Wars since I was a kid. Problem is I have no robot building experience. It came back 2 years ago though, but it got cancelled again. Plus I saw Rosie the Riveter on Nickelodeon Robot Wars and thought it was awesome. And seen it on Robotica as Logoseye. Do you still have Rosie in your shed?
These Rebellions were always a lot of fun. itd be a bit more difficult than that, killalot is designed to lift the 110kg competitor bots, not the 2-300kg House bots, so he'd probably tip over, Matilda's flywheel is devestating, matched only imo by S7 X-Terminator, dead metal is durable as all hell and shunt true to his name can shove even killalot i would imagine. honestly it comes down to wether or not matilda gets tipped, if she dosent then that flywheel would rip killalot's sides to bits and probably take a fair chunk out of dead metal, then she could flip shunt with a well placed side shot, shunt though could just facetank the flywheel with his scoop and shunt her around (no pun intended). so its difficult to judge

I've always loved the House Robot Rebellions. I was hoping they would do another Rebellion for the reboot and be in one myself with a robot of my own. But thanks to BBC 2, those dreams are squished yet again.
For maximum damage and impact to the house robots I'd swap Tornado for Chaos 2 or some equally powerful flipper (Wheely Big Cheese comes to mind) For the reboot era I reckon a team of Carbide, Apollo and Magnetar would fare best
A house robot rebellion fought by the current generation of competitors, would send even sir killalot to the scrapyard. Immagine carbide, rapid and terrorhurtz taking on them at the same time. Shunt and matilda would be out in 10 seconds and probably in an unrecoverable state. Dead metal would be easily flipped or torn apart by carbide. And killalot migh withstand for a couple of minutes but after taking hits from carbide and terrorhurtz it would be done too.
Mr. Lambda there were robots back then that could do the house robots of the time damage. There's a reason robots like plunderbird etc were selected. No way carbide would be invited now just like hypno, razer etc weren't before
Maybe with the old house robots. The new ones are quite a lot bigger and heavier. Sure, we've seen the new Shunt get flipped, but the new Shunt and Sir Killalot were designed to deal with spinners and all of them have had major upgrades. I'm not sure, but I think Matilda even ditched her disk's rubber teeth for something a bit more damaging. It will still be fun, it just wouldn't be one-sided.
I don't think that they would be out so soon. They are designed to work well against the modern competitors, and they could probably do some damage before maybe going out.
They should make a new Robot wars show were they fight outside (no expensive arena) and everthing is allowed, except Humans enter the combat zone and nuclear weapons ending up in real robot war.
I'd love to see these house bots against something like Son of Wyachi, Biohazard, or Toro... Nitemare could bring hell down upon those bots because they're armor is down low and they have lots of exposed tubes...
Bring me Apollo, Carbide, Behemoth, and Eruption 2. Behemoth did great on his own, but seriously, bring me a top team of competitor robots to take the house robots on and I think the only saving the house would be how hard it is to flip Sir Killalot and Mr Psycho.
From the original series, a team made up of Firestorm2, Chaos 2, Razer and Gravity. From the Reboot series, Apollo, Eruption, Carbide and Aftershock. I'd pay good money to go and see that combination in a House robot showdown!
I would pay to see house robot melee, basically see who is the best by having them fight each other.. Don't immediately go to Mr psycho or Killalot, they have exposed tracks and can, but rarely, be flipped. Matlilda and shunt have flippers/ scoops, so could potentially take out the lighter bots by flipping them. No house robot has a srimech so it would be very interesting. The last one I would go for has to be cassius chrome.
The house robots were the coolest but surely they all could've been exceptions to the rules i.e. all be huge and heavy and powerful so that no one could resist them
My favorite robot is stinger, now I know I know it’s a really bad robot but I juts love it, idk why it’s cool I love how simple it is and it’s incredibly durable

That's how I came to know about the show. I actually knew of Foley from this before I knew he was a wrestler, haha. He was the perfect host for the US adaptation.
They were so afraid to have REAL total carnage, get Razor, Hypnodisc and Wheelie big cheese into that ring and you can pretty much bring most of the housebots against them... and FAIL!
Then Sir killalot and the hammer guy comes in and smashes this robots to pieces. The problem with matilda who is primarily bullied is the fact that it is too light to counteract the flippers. But Sir killalot and the one with the hammer (who I forget it's name) would easily beat the flippers due to them being so damn big and heavy. On top of that Razer is too small to reach Killalot's back where his innards are stored, and hypbodusc has a flaw where if the disc hits something giant it is nearly stopped. The only way competitors can truly beat ALL the house robots is if they build a robot big enough to properly damage Sir killalot and the hammer one
i have to say its hilarious to have the US flags in the crowd and the commentator with the UK house robots. They never had any house bots in the US version ofthis aka battlebots. though the battlebots arena had many more hazards. That is of course unless they really did make a series of robot wars with the uk theme but hosted in the US with US teams??

I didn't notice this until now but when Behemoth is axing Mr Psycho, Behemoth's axe gets ripped off when Mr Psycho starts to reserve into them.
