I've tried several different colored pencils, wax based and water color. I couldn't do anything, thought it was me. Part was me. But when I got my Arteza pencils, I was coloring like a mad woman. The pencils work wonderfully! I rarely wow myself but when I use the pencils, I do! As for the stamp set, I keep buying other stamp set besides this one. I should go do it now. But I have so many. I KNOW! I'll take all my Altenew flower stamps and make a journal, because I love your flower journal and I'd love to see how many stamps I have and the variety. Yes, I've had my coffee and haven't talked to anyone but my husband this morning. Tim Holtz will be on in a couple of minutes so I'll part with you. As always, Vicky, you've been a joy to watch and you know how to jump start my imagination going!!! Love, stay healthy!!!
What a wonderful demonstration of the colored pencils with gambol!! I am a big fan of this technique and find it is the easiest way to get a wonderful blend from my pencils. I’m so glad that you did this video with that stamp set! I love the look of that one and don’t know how I missed buying it before!
Vicki as always absolutely stunning piece of art. As far as pencils rolling around on the art table - I tend to use a cut piece of the rubber shelf liner. That helps a good bit. thanks again for sharing your talents with us.
Thanks Vicky for the tutorial on Gamsol....I use Colored Pencils in my Art Class...Gamsol was mentioned but I missed the class on how to use it. Love the easy application. You are the best!!
Beautiful card, Vicky! TFS ... It’s been quite a long time since I’ve played with my pencils with or without Gamsol so I appreciate the reminder of the stunning results they can produce. Have a great day!!! 🙂
Such a beautiful card Vicky!!! I love coloring in colored pencil, but I have yet to try Arteza Colored Pencils, Gamsol & Arteza paper. I appreciate your review, thank you!!! Blessings & hugs!!!
Beautiful!! I actually sold my Copic markers and have my Spectrum Noirs for sale. I can NEVER get a good blend like I can with colored pencils and Gamsol. I have these pencils and love them!!!
Hi. Gorgeous card. Love the way you colour and blending. Which reminds I have good coloured pencils, which I have not used in a long time. Hmmm. A few flower and butterfly stamps which I loved to colour ages ago. Thank you for sharing. Love your style of layouts recently. 😀💜🙏
Beautiful card! I love how your flowers turned out! I recently bought the 120 pack of Arteza colored pencils and I really like them too. I don't use them professionally, just for fun, but I did notice on the inside lid of my tin, there is a legend that has + means Excellent lightfastness ++ means great lightfastness +++ good lightfastness and ++++ means fair lightfastness which didn't matter to me because I just use them for fun. Love your videos!
A very pretty card. I liked seeing the arteza pencils being used, and I've been wanting the florets stamp set by altenew as well. Think I'll visit my cart! Thank you.
Thanks for the inspiration! Now I want to break out my Prismacolors and color some flowers. LOL Love your color choices, your technique, and your card. Thanks for sharing!
It’s great to see you using pencil crayons . While we have to stay in doors I have taken a few art courses on skillshare.com one in pencil art are have loved using them. Here in the U.K. we are unable to buy or import “gamsil” I have tried a few times. please can you recommend anything else I could use instead. Your flowers look beautiful. I love all of your videos thank you for making so many . 🥰
sue slowe any spirit that artists use to thin down oil paints would work... try to find an odorless one and even better? Try baby oil! Never tried it but it works, I think I saw Lindsey doing it once ( the frugal crafter)
I love this coloring technique and what an amazing result! 😍😍😍😍Your card is so beautiful!!! Thank you for this tutorial. I wonder what is the difference between using gamsol and baby oil with the pastel pencils.
baby oil works too as far as I know... never tried it though and I don't know if the paper is going to turn out oily... but the room is going to smell wonderfully for sure ;)
Absolutely beautiful card Vicky! Thank you so much for sharing, my Arteza pencils have been sitting in my craft room...I’ve completely forgotten about them! I will have to try them out after seeing ur beautiful card! Have u ever tried using the Copic 0 marker with them??? I think I saw Simon Hurley do this.😊💗👍🏼
I can compare them with Prisma Colors since I have them... I love the pigment on my Prismacolors but I can't stand the breaking lead.... in some cases I sharpen and break sharpen and break... and they are expensive.... this is not the case with the Arteza !!!
