How to Resin Agate Slices

  • This video will show you from start to finish how to Resin agate slices for use in pine needle baskets, adding several tips and tricks that I learned along the way.
    This process takes over 24 hours, therefore the video is a bit longer encompassing each step of the way. You will need to let your agate slice dry an additional few days prior to drilling.

    Are you completely covering the stone or just allowing resin to come up sides

      I put a light coating of resin over the top to protect the stone.

    I tried with wax paper and it stuck to the resin! How does yours release so easy?

      I use baking paper - Dollar store has it but Hobby Lobby or Michaels is better. I’ve had baking paper stick also. I had to keep trying to peel it - or let the resin dry for a few days then soak it and peel it. Hope this helps!
