Around a thousand years ago Imam Muhammad Al Ghazali told story of a man walking in the jungle. A roaring lion ran towards him and the man ran as fast as he could to escape from it. He noticed a well in front of him and he jumped inside hoping to escape from the lion. As he was falling inside the well, he grabbed onto the rope and saved himself. The man was so relieved but when he looked down he saw a big snake at the bottom of the well. It had its jaws wide open ready to swallow him up. The man then looked up and saw two mice nibbling at the rope. A black mouse and a white were both chewing into the rope. The scary lion was still prowling outside the well. The man's heart was pounding as he wondered how he could escape from this. Then he noticed a honeycomb in front of him which had delicious honey dripping from it. He stuck his finger into the honey and put it inside his mouth. It was delicious and for a moment he forgot about the lion, the snake and the two mice chewing at the rope. Imam Ghazali explained that the lion is like the angel of death which is always looming above us. The snake was like his grave which all humans will face. The black mouse and white mouse were like the day and night which are always nibbling at our life (the rope). The honey was like this dunya which with its momentary sweetness makes us forget the death and the eternal life.
This is more than a dance or a cardio workout. This is a lesson of unity and solidarity. Like, when soldiers march together in a mass formation, or run together in formation, everyone in step, everyone running to the same cadence. Unity and solidarity. That's a lesson good for any community.

@@khabibtime8830 thanks, I'm familiar w the themes. This is a zen koan I always enjoyed, very similar but a little more esoteric. Once upon a time, as a man was walking through a forest, he saw a tiger peering out at him from the underbrush. As the man turned to run, he heard the tiger spring after him to give chase. Barely ahead of the tiger, running for his life, our hero came to the edge of a steep cliff. Clinging onto a strong vine, the man climbed over the cliff edge just as the tiger was about to pounce. Hanging over the side of the cliff, with the hungry tiger pacing above him, the man looked down and was dismayed to see another tiger, stalking the ravine far below. Just then, a tiny mouse darted out from a crack in the cliff face above him and began to gnaw at the vine. At that precise moment, the man noticed a patch of wild strawberries growing from a clump of earth near where he dangled. Reaching out, he plucked one. It was plump, and perfectly ripe; warmed by the sunshine. He popped the strawberry into his mouth. It was perfectly delicious. The End.
Maybe it's from years of being in a marching pipe band, but it is so satisfying to watch such synced up movement in a huge crowd of people. Like, I feel so happy and this looks like so much fun, my day has been made :D
I can imagine the serging energy inside the tent, stumping your feet barefooted is an excellent way to recharge & align oneself to the grounding earths energy.
There is secrets that make them being that intense. Everyday, they do at least 1000 dhikr chant plus 1000 solawat minimum. This is include suluk ritual for 3 days and 3 night. This is really kind of a beautiful thing. This is a gem of raw humanity. It seems ancient and somehow refined at the same time. Religious argument aside, this is something of humanity that should be more documented. One day this tradition may no longer exist or transform. This is stunning, primal and incredibly artistic.
I agree entirely. There's a primal heartbeat to this, and if you listen long enough, your own heart starts matching that rhythm. It taps into something primordial, and sweeps us away.

Marko Polo same here, the way they go in the circle and jumping up and down and their movement are so synced. So awsome
it's only a chechen caucasian muslim tradition, caucasian christians practice that too.
Caucasian Christians do not practice that. It's common mostly among Chechens
ilya_Rusin that's not true. I've been to Svaneti several times and have never heard of something like that.

These guys are hardcore, they have a will, faith and determination that matches none at the same time they’re extremely kind to one another and strangers.
How are they kind to strangers?
@@TIeKoRis It is the custom in Chechnya to welcome a stranger asking for a place to sleep, to eat. Helping the others has always been important in the Caucasus because of the harsh life there.
@@TIeKoRis its how Chechen/Ingush people are, its the norm. La Illa Ha Illa Llah
This has nothing to do with islam. It’s a made up innovation form this culture.
You’re stupid and your parents are ashamed of you
It's a sufi zikr. Like a chant. But it's islamic and obviously the nature is a strong positive energy from the devine. That's the whole purpose of it.
WOW ..just WOW .. amazing...😊😊
I can imagine the atmosphere over there must be hypnotizing. Sufi people pray to god by going in a trance from this kind of music
There is something mesmerizing about this.going into a trance like state, chanting and creating a united energy. This is the way to connect with our universe.
Humans have been doing it for as long as anyone can remember!
From this to stomping to techno at a free party - nothing new under the sun.
I could stomp to this all night!
It also can and does induce trance like or mystical experiences.
Our ancient traditions were like these. Our ancestors practiced rituals like these. Close to nature. Close to heart
its not a song
notice how all of them are in decent shape

The End.
The most amazing and the best thing is how they accelerate at a rate magical to the eyes in synch.

Everyday, they do at least 1000 dhikr chant plus 1000 solawat minimum.
This is include suluk ritual for 3 days and 3 night.
WHEN they start gathering and chanting dhikr, individually, they are forgetting about their individual existence.

All to 1.
This is really kind of a beautiful thing. This is a gem of raw humanity. It seems ancient and somehow refined at the same time. Religious argument aside, this is something of humanity that should be more documented. One day this tradition may no longer exist or transform. This is stunning, primal and incredibly artistic.
this is kinda of islam but not rly much , we (north caucausians) do this to let allah swt know we will do anything for him
I agree entirely. There's a primal heartbeat to this, and if you listen long enough, your own heart starts matching that rhythm. It taps into something primordial, and sweeps us away.

Lit kidnapping but this is wrong and haram u would get ur heads chopped, off for this in Saudi
G L.C no I’m Trina say that sufis ar3 not like before, who were basically Sunni but more spiritual of Allah, and did more zikr
G L.C bro idk about goon squads because u made that up plus chopping of heads is not wrong this all started to the path of Allah, Sunnis rules had changed tremendously, I’m not saying that there might be pure Sunni groups but rn we are instructed to worship Allah and follow. Our prophet, where does it say swearing is ok, where does it say sit on a chair and move ur heads up and down, it is more for the fear of Allah, not just love, our hearts can be deceived by ones personal greed, anyone was a Muslim before but there was people who did anything for there personal needs

@statinskill No it wouldn't, unlike this culture, Southwestern American NATIVES don't take in religion. And the Native American dances have a much older purpose than this video.

The Circle of Life Dance, a very beautiful cultural and Spiritual Dance.
This may come from very, very old dance. Elders/wise ones in inner circle. Outer circle younger, those who are learning working harder to learn the Spiritual way of life. (running to keep up with the way.) One calling out the way, (leader of the Word) others chanting. It was done to remember before writing. The beat is the beat of man and earth living.
Thanks for your information, i scroll a lot to see and learn this :)
