Because Trump doesn’t have dementia. I work in Neuroscience, and there are clear signs of early onset dementia. He clearly isn’t strong enough to last another 4 months..never mind 4 years.

As an Actor, I don't see how Alec Baldwin can be found guilty. When we are handed guns, we are told what it's loaded with, if at all. In a revolver or clip, typically they are dummy rounds, which have no gunpowder, just so the bullets appear on camera. I typically don't take the armorer's word for it, and check the rounds myself by, if nothing else, pointing the gun in a harmless direction and pulling the trigger just to show the other people on set that it is indeed just a prop, even if it's a real gun. It's not my responsibility to do that, but I do it anyway.
Sometimes I fire blank rounds--so there's gunpowder but no slug in the bullet. Still, even those can cause injury or death. So we fire in such a way that appears realistic on the 2D screen image, but actually the gun is pointed at nothing. Even professional soldiers and law enforcement with live ammunition, in combat are careful not to have the barrel in the direction of anything unless their intention is to shoot it; it's gun safety 101.
Here's the catch though, where Baldwin may be found guilty. Even a rubber gun, we don't point it at anyone. Any actor who points that gun at anyone is most likely going to get kicked off set. Whether or not he squeezed the trigger, he pointed it at the crew, and that's a stupid thing to do. You always behave as if the gun is real and loaded.
Still, bottom line is, it wasn't his responsibility to make sure the gun wasn't loaded with live ammunition, so I don't see how he could be convicted of involuntary manslaughter in this situation.
I'm not an actor, outside of one 7th grade play, however I agreed with your initial argument until you mentioned the practice of actors not pointing it directly at anyone else. If that is standard practice, he will likely be convicted.
I agree. The actor is given a prop and does his acting. The armorer is at fault.
@@krzykris : It's not a rule or standard. We receive zero gun training. But I personally don't want to appear on camera handling a gun incorrectly, so I study that. For my bit part in 'Bridge of Spies' I studied FBI training films from the period and even read 'Masters of Deceit.'

'Blue Bloods' a friend of mine, they handed him a rubber gun, he had never held a gun before, so he started practicing with it, pointed it at someone--because it's a rubber gun, so why not, he thought--and Tom Selleck, who is a big time gun guy, had him kicked off set, never to return. That really sucks because that was a great show to be a regular on.
Fast forward to a show I was working on in Japan, I was handed a snub nose revolver, was getting used to it by repeatedly pulling back the hammer with my thumb, squeezing the trigger, and easing the hammer back again. The Armorer said, "Be careful, that's a real gun." I, one handed, flip it open and showed him, "Not loaded" flipped it back closed, and continued. So they took that away and handed me an M4A1 rifle. I said, "Is it my birthday?" They explained I obviously know what I'm doing, so they handed me real rifles, with blank rounds--no slugs, just firing gun powder. Later in the shoot they had me using an M88 rifle, which is a 50 caliber; I called it the Fender Stratocaster of rifles; even though I was shooting blanks, man that thing was fun.
Actors don't generally know anything about guns other than you pull the trigger and it goes boom. You see scenes like Alec Baldwin in 'Rust' they show on the news, and he obviously doesn't know squat. Every shot, he's faking the recoil, because that's what he saw other actors do, and it looks fancy, when in reality that would just be bad shooting.

What credible person said that it needs solved? They've only been collecting data for around a little over a hundred years. That's not a big sample set. What about all those ice ages in the past followed by warming? What about the last mini ice age in Europe in the 1500s or so? Help illegal immigrants help in first responder ability/ abilities, after being screened for past demeanors in their own countries. We have the enormous amount of money to fund wars, but we don't have the money to do diligent screening etc. It's appalling. Any decent human being who has gone through the horrors of legitimately escaping the inhumane horrors or difficulties of living in their own country, will have genuine compassion and desire to help the people of the country letting them in, do what is needed in the many times of natural disasters and others that their host country is going through.
