  • Almost two decades after his brother’s death on the refugee trail in Europe, Daba is following in his footsteps as a new conflict simmers in Sudan.
Daba finds himself stuck in "The Jungle", Calais's infamous refugee camp, from which he has tried to cross the English Channel more than 200 times. But Daba is burdened with another sombre mission - to repatriate his brother’s body.
When war breaks out in Sudan, jeopardising his dream to reunite his brother with their family, Daba also realises there is no way back.
The Sea Won’t Scare Us is a documentary film by Camille Toulme and Julien Goudichaud.

It is sad but ridiculous and not in the best interests of anyone to leave their homeland. The Sudan is on a huge land mass, with many Countries who could more ghan easily take them in, same continent, no perrilous boat journey, and same climate, but no, someone has coerced these people into leaving their homeland and bypassing many many rich Countries to come to 8taly, Spain, Germany, France etc, Countries so disconnected and alien to these people I am surprised Human Rights have not stepped in to stop such a travesty! It is dangerous! for the people leaving their homes, and dangerous for the Countries they are currently flooding into. For the vast sums of money paid to people who decide such decisions, they have seriously lacked any true intelligence or care for all people concerned, and I have to consider why this "intentional agenda" might be playing out before us all. 🧐✝️🙏
