    I try telling customers it's always 3times the amount of brush mess as it looks like ..I only have 12ft trailer .takes alot of trips on anything bigger than that size. Bent my axle on trailer dropping logs on it with mini skids.had that 3500 pound trailer loaded with 5 ,6 thousand easy before but it bent from the impact. On big Pin oak silver maple 🍁 job.

    If you order some 3strand Draco bull rope halfinch from bartlett in 200ft hank you ll be glad you did..it's strongest half inch and fits the maasdam perfect .I use hand assener on back end for no slip .the 200ft in a bag makes life easier. With the pulls..has slight stretch but works great. It's always on sale ,think I paid 140 fir 200ft with discount. Had it 2cyears now .also put a big Dan carabiner on the end of maasdam makes easy to hook up .that little hook it comes with is a pain.i was using some 6500 pound re barb straps because there skinny to hook around trees to clip that little clip but with big Dan on you can hook anywhere .just trying to help thanks

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have that long bull rope for the puller now, but I've gotta do two things you mention: change out that crummy hook it comes with and add the hand ascender. I'm not quite sure how you rigged up that ascender but I'll figure it out because I've had the dang thing slip once or twice when the rope has been soaking wet and/or frozen. Thanks man!

  • @Sethhaun78

    Ps it's never not worked on any size tree .the maasdam is rated 1500 pull so the dracon is 7300 tensile strength. Used ot on the cedar in my picture did a bunch of a house they were about 76ft old farm cedars ..full of nails of course. ,,,

    Great Video! How do you like the Echo top handle saw? Is it the 2511T? How does it compare to your 194T?

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was pretty doubtful when I bought that little Echo (yeah, 2511t), but I really like the saw: smaller and lighter than my Stihl 194ts, and it's needed few repairs. The Stihl has more power so I use it in bigger removals, but for smaller limbs I'll always grab the Echo first just because it's so light, small, and maneuverable. Awesome little saw and I'll probably buy a backuup soon

  • @Sethhaun78

    How do u like the 500i..,? Just started using mine,had it fir months but just put gas in it.just always used my 462 it's my go to weight wise plus it sounds so good .with bark box.500 has weird sound .but I like it's torque, could feel the difference..only have 1 tank it so goingvtry it out on big huge red maple. That stuffs hard very hard wood .so will be good break in

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm jealous that you have that 462 as it's reported to be a pretty good saw. I really like the 500i and have run it for several years now. It definitely took a few tanks to settle in and I think it drinks a bit more gas than it should, but dang that saw can rip. I've run everything from a 20" short bar to a 36" bar on it, and it seems happy with a 25" bar. I trade off between the 500 and 362 but really should ditch that 362 for a 462 when I'm at the saw shop next time

    • @metaspencer
