The fact that he's crying shows how much pasion he puts in his performance and how much he enjoy playing. That is priceless. That touched my soul. Long live Piano Guys
Waseem Maro Maybe, but I can proudly say that he's playing it will full passion from the heart and not acting. If you haven't played and instrument or even performed, then you would't understand why he's crying.
+Waseem Maro That was just rude. I highly doubt you have half the talent he does. I play alto saxophone and I even cry too sometimes when I play. He mentioned that when he plays he gets into like a trance and just falls into the music being played. So he is not acting and obviously you have never played an instrument before.
Waseem Maro You must show passion in music if you do you will feel emotions. But only if you desire the instrument cause if you don't the music you make won't allow you to feel anything. I played the piano one time i was so happy i had fun playing it. You must have a feeling but you must like it first.
The tears... for the love of the music, the love of the monent, and the joy of passing on the gift to others. So incredibly wonderful! It all reminds me of the beauty in this world.
Guys, if I had only one piece of music I could hear/see before I die, this is it. I know this is an old post, but hope you read it. You're ability to give joy and peace through music is really unparalleled. And, I thank you so much for it.
I remember there was a guy who called him self a musician commented on this video saying Steve shouldn't be crying about the performance because it gives a "weird feeling and a bit exaggerated the song". Well, then, if your music can make hundreds and thousands of people burst into tears because of its beauty, and your self, the musician, don't feel a thing about your music, you have no emotion, that's all I can say.
I come back and listen to this every so often, and it always brings me to tears. Not just the piece, not just his playing, but as each of the young people are added in and we see their joy at playing, and the music builds... It grabs your heart. This is music.
It's so heartwarming to see someone enjoy what they're doing so much and seeing the joy it brings to others to bring them to tears. This is truly one of the best and most touching performances I've ever seen.
How incredible it must have been for those young performers to be a part of that. Kudos for The Piano Guys to give them that opportunity. They all did a fantastic job!
4:15 is the part I adore in this song. And the raw emotion in his face makes my heart soar and makes me want to cry too!!! I Love you guys!!!! Thank you for sharing your talents with the world!!!
I stopped watching this at three minutes because my eyes had closed and the music just carried me away. Damn but this is beautiful. I love Beethoven anyway but the way it's done here is simply sublime. :)
This is the only video on TH-cam that gets me even close to tears. I think because I was a band kid in high school, I remember what big special events like this are like, how much extra you have time you have to put in to get to a stage like this; and the time, money, & effort the money the parents have to put in. When I hear that theme at 2:17 it just feels like pure triumph. And you know the parents are right there and are the first ones to the standing ovation.
You know a musician has poured his heart and soul into a piece when he cries with joy on performance. 5:00 This is what every human being longs for... to be heard, understood, and appreciated... why? because every human being has intrinsic value and purpose. This should inspire us all to get out there and do what we were born to. What a beautiful performance.
I have watched this video over and over and it brings tears to my eyes to see these young children playing instruments and enjoying music to this degree. It is awe-inspiring to see love for music in all its variety. Great job guys, and the Piano Guys are bringing back the classics for the younger generation to enjoy. Love it!
De todos os vídeos que conheço, este sem dúvidas é meu favorito. Minha alma se encanta e dança todas as vezes. The Piano Guys restaurou meu sonho de tocar Cello novamente, obrigado!
I was at this concert, and this video doesn't even begin to capture how wonderful the performance was with youth orchestra members popping up among the concert goers to round out the magnificent sound.
I love how he cry because it means he is passionate about the music he makes!!! Gave me tears too😊🎹🎹🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎻🎻🎻 I love the piano as much as he loves the cello!!!
Fantastic , in the end i could see the tears in his face. What a special moment. Thank you for giving me this beautifull moment.... I´m a fan from now on. Portugal knows about you guys ..
he looks so happy to preform. seriously he's crying and it makes me so happy when I see somebody so happy and excited to make art and share it. I hope I can be that happy someday
This is my all time favorite song, and this is my favorite version. I have no idea how many times I have watched/listened to this. Thank you! Thank you!
I would like this 50 times if I could. Steve really takes this song away with the way he delivers it with so much passion and emotion. YOU'RE AMAZING STEVE!!!
This arrangement with all the youth playing their instruments is so awe inspiring! What a wonderful dream and inspiration to play with the Piano Guys! Please do this more often. Thank you so much for being such wonderful musical missionaries! Keep up the wonderful music. Was so blessed to see you in Atlanta at Chastain!
Now looking at this video for the I don't know how many time, it hits me - this must have been extremely difficult for everyone to play together because the sound would have been bouncing all over the place, and delayed. It takes sooo much concentration to play "on the stick" as opposed to what you hear in situations like this. Excellent job!
I LOVE the piano guys and all of their music is so amazing. You can tell that they enjoy what they do. This song is beautiful and I love how it sounds. Steve puts everything into his playing, including his emotions and that's amazing! 🎵
Be prepared to be dazzled. A musical masterpiece with a swirling of emotions. A beautiful symphony that could use my entire vocabulary and yet not touch where this music goes. Steve's tears at the end are at the very recesses of my soul. Allow yourself to be a part of this moment.
At the moment where the first violines started paying and the crowd started clapping hands - I started crying. - Epic...Guys, I was on your concert in Düsseldorf - Germany 2015. And there I also cried with "let it go". I can´t explain what your Music means to me. When I listen your interpretations I fell so close to Music. Thank you. - Really!
You jst can't watch this without crying ! :') I'm only 16, but the way you make music has inspired me so much ! When I feel tired of everything or when it feels like my head is going to explode, I just listen your music and suddenly I feel so much better. The way you do all this is just amazing.
What I love most about ThePianoGuys is the obvious joy that they find in their music. Just look at Steve's face! And then they share that joy with children (like in this video), the elderly (Charlie Brown medley video), and all ages in between.
There is lots of music that is good around the world, a music that touches the heart is very minor. Just by watching the performance from youtube could brought my heart racing live i am in the live performance, can't even imagine if i were to be there. I would definitely cry of how great this is. Music that brought up people is rare. And u guys did it! Thank you!
I love this performance so much! I surprised myself because it even made me cry-I don’t know why-I really hate crying!?! It was beautiful and I loved seeing all the young people performing. They were excellent. It obviously touched some emotion in my heart. One of the fun things I thought of is that this video is a bit like a “flash mob” music scene with all the music students appearing in the audience. So creative-Great job. Everyone performed so well. The only thing better than seeing this video for the first time, would be to actually be there. Keep up the good work and thank you so much!
I think I'm on about my tenth time of watching in a row.. still can't quite get to the end without a tear. These guys play Manchester's Bridgewater Hall next June, so so so going to be saving up to go.. and thank you guys... The words at the beginning of this piece are so moving.. so true... Your music is on a different level to many peoples I listen too, and if there is one thing that takes it there, it is how in touch you both are with that music. Your's tears at the end of this Steven say so so much.. God bless you both, see you in eight months time :)
I'm in a state of peaceful tears right now! As a musician I understand why this man weeps as he plays such soul stirring music! Cannot get enough of their music!
i learned to love and appreciate more the classical music after knowing u guys,,,this song send shivers all over me,,so beautifully made and heartfelt, Beethoven is such a genius,,but u guys r so good,,, hope u do some covers from Mozart and Haydn too,so can use in my class without them falling asleep while listening,, lol thank u, anyway, i love the four seasons u made ! winter !
Doing this video made me so happy😁,because the original one was already my favorite video When this one it made it my triple favorite video and music I love your smile!!! It makes the video a thousand times better!!!😍
Doesn't matter how long ago this came out, this will forever be my favorite song and video
The fact that he's crying shows how much pasion he puts in his performance and how much he enjoy playing. That is priceless. That touched my soul. Long live Piano Guys
DjDark333 Or how much he is acting , i think he is over acting. (my own opinion)
So he is not acting and obviously you have never played an instrument before.
laughabout1234 Must be an average audience.
I love music makes me tear up a lot for no reason
I feel like you have taken my heart and condensed its emotions into one comment.
I couldn't agree more......Such rare beauty makes me feel like I'm walking on air.
Prachtig mooi.
Guys, if I had only one piece of music I could hear/see before I die, this is it. I know this is an old post, but hope you read it. You're ability to give joy and peace through music is really unparalleled. And, I thank you so much for it.
This piece literally moves me to tears.
I am so disappointed that your Storrs, CT performance is sold out. I'll be thinking of you that day wishing I could be there. :(
Thanks for your comment. Good idea for next time, if they ever come to CT again. The concert was March 28. :(
Totally! And Steven himself wqs brought to tears! So moving!
Every time!
Me too.
I agree with you.
I agree with the other guy. It’s not about not feeling but about not showing it during the representation. It’s about keeping a demeanor as an artist
This music moves me to tears. I love that the kids in the audience participated, that made it so special. Love your music!
when you see him cry you just wish you were in his shoes. Those are tears of passion.
Fuck it, I'm already crying. This is beyond beautiful, and I lost it all the exact moment when I see his tears. This is so so magic...
My cousin is in this video! He is one of the teens playing the cello, he is the last one on the right! :-)
Kuddos!!
Awesome! :D
My best friends sister in this this she is the one with the yellow cello up front
He's awesome
Woah he was crying... That's true passion and love for music and what he does!
Beethoven was deaf it's absolutely the sound of angels
Still one of the most moving moments I've ever seen. The passion of this moment is beautiful and touches me deeply on so many levels!
The fact that he cried makes it more moveing
I come back and listen to this every so often, and it always brings me to tears.
Not just the piece, not just his playing, but as each of the young people are added in and we see their joy at playing, and the music builds...
It grabs your heart. This is music.
I adore the true passion they have in playing. It shows in both face and in the music. Makes me melt every time.
I was thinking the same. Adore this
So do i...
Only a true musician would cry while playing a piece as beautiful as this.
That is what I am doing.
you know you have played a piece perfectly when you can bring yourself to tears as well as an audience and this is what Steven did...
If a man cries when he plays his music, then he is more than a man, he obviously loves what he does and that was more than amazing :)
if this doesn't make you tear, there be something with you. song is too awesome
What if my eyes are sweating???
must be hot out
Derek Macdonald so true
Derek Macdonald agreed
sounds much more emotional with electric chello
You know it got real when the dude performing gets tears.
So agree with you Micah :) (see my comment) ...:)
the way he moves when he plays! the smile on his face! you just know he loves doing what he does. it is truly inspiring.
It's so heartwarming to see someone enjoy what they're doing so much and seeing the joy it brings to others to bring them to tears. This is truly one of the best and most touching performances I've ever seen.
Anyone that passionate about something is enough to drive me to tears every time.
How incredible it must have been for those young performers to be a part of that. Kudos for The Piano Guys to give them that opportunity. They all did a fantastic job!
I can't describe the storm of emotions I felt listening to this song ; v ;
In life, there are moments. This is a Moment...inspiring beyond words.
Wow!
I love how he is crying at the end. Very toughing. I cry sometimes too while listening to this.
4:15 is the part I adore in this song. And the raw emotion in his face makes my heart soar and makes me want to cry too!!! I Love you guys!!!! Thank you for sharing your talents with the world!!!
That part always brings tears to my eyes. Every time I hear it.
p0
That little flare that Steven adds in at 4:31-4:36 that isn't part of the original song makes me tear up every time. So much emotion behind this tune.
Omg! Just seeing Steve cry, made me cry too! I can see how much joy he has when playing the cello. That was really heart warming.
It was an amazing sight I agree.
Christina Le My love for the cello grows with every Piano Guys video! I want to learn it so bad!
It's so weird how I almost started crying. Beautiful!
Yes same here!!
I did.
Steven did it so it's ok lol
at 4:56, true musical emotion.
I stopped watching this at three minutes because my eyes had closed and the music just carried me away. Damn but this is beautiful. I love Beethoven anyway but the way it's done here is simply sublime. :)
The tears on Stephen's face just completely did me in. Such a masterful artist. You've made Beethoven proud ^_^
This is my favourite from the time this was first published with another youth orchestra. Beautiful….
This is what I call music, the instruments speaks without saying any word
This is the only video on TH-cam that gets me even close to tears. I think because I was a band kid in high school, I remember what big special events like this are like, how much extra you have time you have to put in to get to a stage like this; and the time, money, & effort the money the parents have to put in. simply crying whenever to hear this performance.
You know a musician has poured his heart and soul into a piece when he cries with joy on performance. 5:00
This is what every human being longs for... to be heard, understood, and appreciated... why? because every human being has intrinsic value and purpose. This should inspire us all to get out there and do what we were born to. What a beautiful performance.
I'd pay to see Beethoven listening to this. He must be crying of joy up there.
who else cry while watching this masterpiece ?
I respect Steve so much, he is a man that is living his life doing what he loves the most and sharing it with many people
I have watched this video over and over and it brings tears to my eyes to see these young children playing instruments and enjoying music to this degree. It is awe-inspiring to see love for music in all its variety. Great job guys, and the Piano Guys are bringing back the classics for the younger generation to enjoy. Love it!
4:22 He cries... I cry... LOVE THIS SONG!!!
Brought tears to my eyes. This is beautiful.
Me too.

Tears at 05:08. I do really love this guy. So talented, so inspired, such a passion for music. I want to be just like you!
I can't describe how beautiful this is. Love the way you can feel the music. And how you can turn it into something wonderful. Just peechless.
This song is as close to being able to fly on wings as there ever will be.
Fantastic ,
in the end i could see the tears in his face.
What a special moment.
Thank you for giving me this beautifull moment....
I´m a fan from now on.
Portugal knows about you guys ..
FUCK YEA! ONLY REAL MEN CRY FROM PLAYING THE CELLO.

True!
Porque no vienen a Chile?
I think it was sweat, not tears.
True
tears always flow from the wonderfull sound...not from the eyes...
he looks so happy to preform. seriously he's crying and it makes me so happy when I see somebody so happy and excited to make art and share it. I hope I can be that happy someday

I love classic music. This song does touch my heart every time I listen to it.
If we work with young people in this way the humanity will have any future. Thanks a lot.
