This bring back alot of memories. In Vietnam, you will use this type of pen during primary school. Once you go to secondary school, you will start to use the ball pen. It’s been 8 years since the last time i use this type of pen.
my favorite part of my firt mo.ents with this pen were figuring out how it was engineered and how to fill it without using the instructions. once it is in your hands it is not hard to figure out, i promise. i really love my curidas a lot.
I remember our school days how our hands always get dirty in blue ink🥴 and our white shirt never miss the blue ink and scolding from our teachers😅😅😂we always have to refill it everyday, tiresome job...but thanks to Fountain pen...slowly when I grew up I had a good handwriting 👍👍👍...
@@CortesevasiveWell, the feel is superior, but a ballpoint sure won't leak unwashable ink all over your 200 dollar shirt. Id say for the modern day, gel pens are better in general than both
@@TheKimbit Wrong. Fountain pens won't leak if you have a cartridge converter. The ones that leaked were usually the sac based ones. Because warm air would pressurize inside the barrel and shoot out ink. Cartridge converter pens don't because there is very limited air because of the size of the tube. If it's a concern even still just place the nib upwards and screw the plunger in the converter until there is no air. It's simple really. Lower ink capacity pens tends to have less chances of burping. I had many ballpoints leak and break. Gel pens you like so much stain everything and there's nothing I could do about it. Aside from being scratchy with no choice of ink lol. Disposable pens are also bad for the environment may I add.
@@TheKimbitI tried her pens just to go right back to fountain pens again because they don't even feel like writing half the time. Just try a fountain pen from Jinhao and you won't be disappointed. I EDC fountain pens every day with no concern for leaking. Modern fountain pens are much better designed than their ink sac predecessors.
@@MitchellJBridges "wrong" is crazy lol, cartridge still potentially will leak with movement, i know this from lots of experience with it happening. In terms of convenience there is nothing a fountain pen does better than a ballpoint, a fountain pen simply writes much more comfortably

I wish the converter capacity was just a little bigger because I use it so much and it's a pain to try to see how much ink is left in there. I also removed the clip immediately.
Please tell me some good, inexpensive paper. I bought my first fountain pen lamY al star medium nib. But I am not getting any kind of that feel of Fountain pen. I used lapis bird Tequila that is red ink and Waterman blue ink. Are this inks good and which paper should I use. I am a student.
Have you tried Levenger inks? I have a dozen in two boxes of colored inks. I purchased those years ago, and they’re smooth and have never dried not changed properties over these many years. They also sell other nice inks and pens, paper as well, and various other related products. This wa back when I received catalogs through the mail, but everything is online now. Good luck, and if you try the Levenger in the blue or black that you need, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I love the charcoal and sienna colors that were in one box. The boxes are extraordinarily lovely as well, look very nice sitting on a shelf, desk or bookcase. Regards ~
Sometimes I have an issue in some pens where the ink doesn’t really want to flow and I take it apart and push the plunger so it releases the ink… I got a new pen for Christmas, my first better pen and I can already see the difference, but my question is - why is that? Is it because they’re cheaper or am I doing something wrong haha
Ok so here goes: Twist of back half of pen shell Unlock and remove front part of shell (leave the spring in) Unlock pen tip part Attach plunger thing Twist to suck ink reassemble
There has to be an exchange of ink and air. Some pens has a designated vent in the feed to let the air in as the ink is leaving. If you have a transparent pen( demonstrator) it’s more likely to observe those small bubbbles of air entering the ink chamber during writing.
”It isn’t as complicated as it might seem, watching me do it.” Said by one of my most adroit mentors😁.

Alternative timeline if ball-point pens weren’t invented:
ballpoints have no lane variation, less smooth and practically no ink choices. Its inferior to fountain pen .

blue ink looks better on camera than in real life
Can you remove the clip on the new models?

I love all my fountain pen, except the Curidas. I truly dislike that pen because it dries out quickly. Any tips?
Which ink do you have in the Curidas?

Ok so here goes:
Twist of back half of pen shell
Unlock and remove front part of shell (leave the spring in)
Unlock pen tip part
Attach plunger thing
Twist to suck ink
reassemble
"hold up teacher, i need to tactical reload my pen"
Will it spill if carried around in a bag, tip down?
Fascinating
Does it have a mouth lock mechanism like vp? And also does moonman a2 have that mechanism?

I must know, I what happens if you remove the spring…
My first question is where do you find these pens?

Dude what happens if I remove the spring
Bad things can happen. The spring is the weak point in the design. It's prone to bending out of shape.
The problem is the pen it self is to thick. It feels uncomfortable in the hand. The simple cheep aluminum muji is preferable In so many ways
