This is the best NFL atmosphere I have ever seen. Make it a tradition to go to Germany once a year and give the fans a great matchup with 2 good teams.
After living Germany for 5 years I tell my boys back here in California that if you to know a good time, spend some time with the Germans. I love those people!

Nobody does football like in the U.S.-tailgating, audience atmosphere, etc. European soccer is interesting, but not a family thing with kids and all day activities. In the U.S., sports are family oriented as well.
Live in the US and sports fans here are pretty incredible, too. You haven't lived if you've never attended a Michigan college football game at the Big House in Ann Arbor with 105,000+ rabid, screaming fans around you. Michigan stadium in fact holds the top two NCAA (college) attendance records, 115,109 fans for the Michigan vs Notre Dame game in 2013, and 114,804 in 2011, also against Notre Dame. Green Bay and Kansas City, for just two examples, are known for crazy fan bases. Pro football games are routinely sold out throughout the NFL.
As someone who was lucky enough to be there... It was amazing, one of the best nights in my entire life. This video is so good, and even then it doesn't do enough justice for the amazing atmosphere.

@@PolarbearKA Yup. From my experience the energy at Frankfurt arena is more passionate. The NFL probably in Dortmund 2024 would burn the arena down for sure. It's the perfect place where you feel it vibrating to the bones. I have to admit as a die hard Bayern München fan 😏

That doesn't make them phonetically similar languages. I learned Italian as a kid and now I can understand quite a bit of Spanish when people speak it around me (at a reasonable pace^^), because of the similarities stemming from their Vulgar Latin roots. But I don't think the same can be said for German and English even though - again - I am fluent in both. Es geht in der Sache darum. Für uns deutsche ist singen im Station das normalste der welt gröhlen von schlachtrufen und das singen von Fan liedern. In dem fall ist es aber American Football das dort gesungen wird ist erstens selten! Zweitens sind lieder wie country roads in denn usa bezogen auf die jeweiligen Bundesstaaten während bei uns es ein gern gesungenes stimmungslied auf festen ist. Für uns deutsche ist es deswegen besonders weil wir hier von der Allianz arena sprechen dem Bayern Tempel wo zu fussball nicht im ansatz so was abgeht. Wenn aber nun 75.000 Menschen gemeinsam singen. Aus zahlreichen ländern um gemeinsam football zuschauen in Fucking europa dann ist das einfach was einmaliges und besonders besonders wenn Tom Brady sich hinstellt und sagt das in 23 jahren seiner Zeit in der NFL er noch nie soviel atom bei eine spiel gehabt hat und er sagt dass das in deutschland gänsehaut bereitet und einmalig ist dann ist das schon viel wert wenn die Ziege sowas sagt ;) Und auch die ganzen Kommentare der Amerikaner sprechen für sich :) das sie sowas nicht kennen ;) Naja okay die haben sich auch über bier aus 1Liter Krügen gefreut ;)

But American Football is definitely gaining popularity. The survey took active players, event attendees, TV viewers, active people in clubs and associations and so forth into context. As mentioned, golf was clearly the sports that surprised me the most. But I also do not have that much insights into the study, i.e. who paid for it, whom they mostly asked and such things. But I have quite a few friends who actively "play" it. It's not that different to going on a walk and talking to friends and/or family. Just doing some hits and puts here and there.
