How to convert Silver into Gold quickly and easily in Adobe Photoshop

- Welcome to another Photoshop Tutorial. In this tutorial I am going to show you How to convert Silver into Gold quickly and easily in Adobe Photoshop.

First of all Open your image. After opening your image, apply curves adjustment layer. To apply curves adjustment layer, go to layer, choose new adjustment layer, and then choose curves. You can also apply it by clicking on curves adjustment layer icon, available in the adjustments panel. Choose Red channel, click on this red channel line and move it towards up side. You can add more points by clicking on the line to bend it, as per your choice. After that choose green channel and do the same. Now choose RGB channel. Click and move it towards down side. Now you can see that it has been converted from Silver to Gold. But the curves effect has applied on the whole layer. And we want to apply it only on our subject only. So to do so, click on the layer mask icon, which is beside to curves effect icon. Then select brush tool, choose soft brush and start painting over the dial, and then on background. Make sure that you have black as foreground color. You can see that we have successfully converted our silver watch into golden.

I might suggest selecting your object first and masking it. Then, use this method of using curves to make it gold, but clip it so it just affects the object and you can avoid the clean up later. Thanks for this easy tutorial!
