VisionaryUrbanTactics I’ve only seen Rupaul mention him twice. But yeah, I had just gone down a rabbit hole and watched all these videos and overall it just seems like a lot of Nelson’s ‘friends’ took him for granted and used him for the camera publicity. I cannot express how much I appreciate what Nelson contributed to the world. These videos give us a glimpse into a whole world and time we otherwise wouldn’t have had without Nelson’s dedication. He was way ahead of his time. I feel like Nelson should be commemorated with a “First Vlog Award” or something. I know it isn’t enough in any way but i feel like we need to bring more exposure to these amazing time capsules. These videos take me to the people and places captured in a way no other ‘vlogs’ can. I was assigned her by the pain clinic, l was going to. She went by the book and set me up on my feet again. She also had the same auto immune diseases as l. She was a great therapist. Yes all we wanted was tolerance and acceptance. The new generation is pushing too hard into indoctrination, and needs to chill. LGBT acceptance is on the decline now. Society said YES so much. You can literally walk down the street in drag today and no one cares. Thanks to the people like the ones in this video. The whiny crybaby modern day “queer” LGBTQIA2SLplus community needs to shut up and stop ruining decades of hard work and actual oppression! Not the fake oppression of a non binary heterosexual female being called she instead of they.

I came up from NC for this event. I was 23 and it was a scary time. We marched because we were dying, had few rights and felt we had nothing to lose. The movement was visceral and important. Many of the men in that parade were dead a few years later. We were a community because no one else would have us. We chose our family because our parents threw us out. Young gay people today should enjoy their freedoms but never ever forget the pain, grief and death it took to get James Charles on TH-cam!!
