If you ever hear "kasubodi" run for your life
kkkkkkkkkkkkk djo matam prp
What does it mean?
@@oriehi_raphael_paulthe etymology for the word is "cash or body", it's what criminals say when they're gonna rob u
original it meant that you either had to give them cash or they would spank u, but nowadays it just means "getting robbed". I'm not sure if they still do that as I've never been robbed in my life and the people ik that have been robbed and the people ik that have they didn't get spanked either
yeah, im cabo verdian and I agree with it, especialy the last one, you really dont want to get robbed and knifed
Yup kasubodi 😬
i m south African and don't speak Portuguese would you suggest visiting the country as a English speaker😅
@@African_Bladeyes!😊
@@CVRenee thank you 🙏will vist your beautiful country soon 😊👍
Hello Cape Verde.. I think I will be searching for my soulmate there
#5 I'm from a part of the world where we offer/share food with whom ever is beside us too. 🤗 That's love.
Ain’t no one taking my food but imma unpause the video now
Don't try it cause in the poor areas of Cape verde ur food will be snatched in broad daylight!!!. It sucks because the government there doesn't do much for the people!!! But they're at home eating a good meal!!! All they do is stuff their pockets!!! While the rest go without!!! Sad but true!!!.
@@LadyV316 I’m not white folk nor stay in resorts like RIU. I dunno about all that fear lifestyle
@@osirisofthesouth2853 it's nothing to do with being white or fear life style...!!!. It's just respecting the poor that's it!!! I'm from the island born and raised... A kid once snatched a can of tuna from my hand. And I was so young .. but I understood he did it cause he was hungry!!!. In some islands u get paid monthly... For those who work imagine waiting for ur pay check every month?... Where in the states is weekly or by weekly...!!!. So basically if u ever go to my country which by the way is Beautiful 💖 but still poor If u eat and ain't sharing then yah gonna get yo food snatched!!!. It's like eating in front of a kid who's hungry 🤷
@@LadyV316 I was in Sal , not even the men on the fisherman pier could handle me . Those little roaming kids got you on your toes ? 😂 You should have seen what I did when a man brought me that shxtty weed you got over there. I’m not no docile island person I’m from London major city we don’t relate at all
Only in the capital at certain parts, these USA Deportees have destroyed our reputation.
I’m capeverdean and I absolutely agree with you.
Where is this guy from?
All accurate , but #5 makes us all upset to hear again accurate
Ultimately I felt overall safe but you always need to be aware of your surroundings. Thank you for the hospitality!
I am not judging, but why hold the Sabbath on Sunday?! I'm just now learning about this beautiful country.
Yea the way he said that it doesn't make sense!!! Cause Sabbath is Saturday for the 7th day Adventist church there. And the Catholic church hold it on Sunday!!!. So I don't know what that was about!!!.
@LadyV316 because the country is most rome catholic
@@amariza21 That's fine if they're Roman Catholics but the Sabbath is clearly on Saturday.
@@chi-townkakarot6582 i know. I just saying why they do it
Sunday is the Christian sabbath.
Saturday is the Jewish sabbath.
'nuff said.
Hello from Tenerife. Sometimes I see airplanes in the evebing flying from Cape Verde to the UK. They fly by near La Gomera, so it is easy for us living in Tenerife to observe
My wife is CV. We're supposed to go next year. I'm a cyclist & was going to bring my gravel bike. Can a white guy cycle during the day safely? Would mostly be headed out to the countryside, but need to get out of the city in one piece...
Hi so it depends which island. The smaller ones you should be fine. The main island likely not a good idea.
@@Final50World IIRC - wife's family is from Fogo, but they have extended family on multiple islands as well...🤔
White people come to our country, colonize it, drain our resources and then are afraid to cycle as if we are the inherently barbaric ones.
@@JosephDowski You should defenetly not do that in Santiago even during the day but the other islands are ok, maybe in São Vicente you should be careful at night but i'ts still ok.
@@JosephDowski in fogo you be okay like he said in Santiago capital praia you shouldn't be doing that outside praia, and sao vicente capital called mindelo. You will be fine on cape verde it's only those 2 city where it can get very dangerous.
Sunday isn’t the sabbath…it’s the first day of the week
Sunday is the Christian sabbath.
Saturday is the Jewish sabbath.
'nuff said.
Yes it's the sabbath day there. You left a comment just to make your religious supremacist point?
Why people sayin capo verde?😢
It's cabo verde...
Good point, not sure why I am hung up on Capo, good figure! Sorry about that.
@@Final50World no worries
Who doesn't know yet that the real Sabbath is Saturday and not Sunday? Anyway who am I? Just a passer by
Sunday is the Christian sabbath.
Saturday is the Jewish sabbath.
'nuff said.
Cape Verde is small
Sabbath is Saturday
Cabo not Cape!
Yes well said!!! Cabo Verde 💚
Sunday Sabbath? What a confused country. The seventh day is Saturday. Observe the 7th day. Exo 20:8
It’s just a catholic thing, but people are learning the importance of keeping the Biblical Sabbath and Passover
Sunday is the Christian sabbath.
Saturday is the Jewish sabbath.
'nuff said.
Oh that's such a ridiculous comment. That's your only contribution? Telling an entire nation what their sabbath is? 😊
1. Go somewhere else that actually respects english people and the english language lol
As a young white-skinned-spanish man, ive dealt with extreme racism in Cabo Verde, and also in America with Cape Verdeans.
oh word? lol that's a shame
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Im from Eu ( no not England)...never met so many friendly down to earth people...of course British are obnoxious everywhere in the world....good thing they are not a part of the Eu anymore😂
🙄
