I agree on 'Goldeneye' being the best Bond film, and so do others my age. It just felt different right after the end of the Cold War. Plus it's also an 'age group' thing for those of us who were coming of age at the time. 90s were the best decade ever!

Definitely take B6 over to LHR. I’m taking them next month myself. I enjoy the return trip Caribbean Mint food as it’s Caribbean inspired and detours from the usual transcon menu selection. Thanks for a great trip review. Also- I fly out of EWR a lot and with the new construction on terminal A reducing gates, leading to more flights out of B, it’s a great mention to get there very early. Morning flights are packed now days.
As an old guy of 70 I love all James Bonds equally over the years.This is not unlike your love of many types of aircraft or my love of Jeb videos, this one, by the way was quite smashing!
Uk is totally open now to fully vaccinated passengers. As of 11th February, no pre-departure testing, no quarantine, nor any tests after you land. Just a passenger locator form in addition to normal travel documentation. So YES, definitely come and enjoy UK. I live by gatwick, so can help if any local travel advice needed too
Welcome to beautiful St. Maarten. Especially on JetBlue classic Mint. I love that airport in St. Maarten. A beach right behind the airports runway. An avgeeks paradise in the Caribbean. If you have time, do a plane spotting video in St. Maarten on the beach.
I'm sorry Jeb, but you're completely wrong. Only Sean Connery takes the "best Bond" title :-). Of course, I'm Scottish and may be *slightly* biased :-). Great video as always - I flew Mint Classic for the first time back in November from SFO to JFK - found the seat and the service to be fantastic (I was solo travelling, so managed to snag a "throne" seat in 4A. While we might not agree on our favourite "Bonds", we can agree that the catering quality offered by jetBlue is (air)miles ahead of anything else the legacy US carriers offer on their flights. Really hope to get a chance to fly with them again in the future, but would be great if they introduced lounge access (and maybe even partner with OneWorld or another alliance).
Agree completely. Pierce Brosnan in Golden Eye is absolutely brilliant. There are very good arguments for all the other actors that played Bond too, but Golden Eye is up there as one of the pinnacles of Bond!
I don’t know which the most jaw dropping moment was, thinking Pierce Brosnan was the best James Bond or you being satisfied with the headphones provided by the airline.
I suspect one's favourite Bond depends on the first new Bond movie you saw in the cinema. For me, louche and wooden Roger Moore! I've only ever done Y on B6 (tourist travelling with the whole family), but would happily try mint transcon. Given some of the current catering on other airlines (UA talking about you), it's easy to make up fo lack of lounge. As for London, I'm still not convinced about narrowbodies on medium haul over water, but try if you must :)

I loved going to St. M! My husband used to work for JB and yes, we flew for free. I have to agree, the IFE is dated, but glad there was 'something'. And the snacks never end! They do have a great food experience for sure! Trying to tell the husband we were on vacation as he's cleaning the seat before we sat down...that was the only challenge I had. HAHA "First flight of the day with this plane and the window is smudged! Did they even TRY to clean last night?!?" Proceeds to the galley to get a towel and water...🤣
Cannot agree more about Pierce in GoldenEye. It was the first Bond I watched as a teenager and to this day one of my favorites with casino royale and Skyfall!! But as a separate movie not linked with others it's the absolute best!!!
Enjoyed this video. First (let's get this out of the way right up front), I absolutely agree with you about Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, although I do adore Sean Connery. Next, one of the first things that I noticed during the seat tour was the obvious grime and dirt in cracks and crevices. This aircraft is past due for a deep detailed cleaning. Finally, the beverage service should really start as soon as you are safely airborne, and menus should already have been in place so that orders could be taken immediately after the initial beverage service. I was rather surprised at the delay, so I assume that there was some sort of glitch somewhere. Looking forward to the next video!
I was in 1A - Mint Studio - JFK-LGW in November. Recommend it although am going again later this year and have booked Mint Suites for the red eye and the Mint Studio for the return to USA. I found the studio wasn't necessary for the 6 hours and $300.

I was really nervous about the eggs on a plane (because a hotel can barely do it) but JetBlue's "Plane Eats" Menu on a Mint flight was SO GOOD. I was blown away. Best breakfast on a plane hands down.

For some year, I've missed this video but I'm glad to be seeing it now. I do have to say that I can't believe how dirty the socket/plug was and how dirty the behind the seat netting storage was. That was pretty disgusting.
The best flight to SXM was halted after 2016. nothing beats KL785 Had a view inside from the terminal from temporary departures In 19' and It looked like they were making progress on rebuilding

Drink service should begin immediately upon reaching cruising altitude and menus either passed out then or preferably found at the seat upon boarding. The “amenity” kit looked rather anemic and a dental kit should have been included. Food looked fabulous though. As to the clodpole with her feet in the air, 🤔🤨🤔 apparently there’s no decorum in that one. 🙄
Flight Attendants should come up quick for the drinks first - food can wait a bit as they have to prepare. I guess something did go wrong. Cant wait for your footage of ST Maarten :-)
This is a non updated interior obviously, I took their new interiors which are on almost all A320s now and their new first class on the 321 is coming soon to all planes! Much more updated and the screens are super fast now, love the vid!
Should have paid attention when you were in (or actually not in) the lounge. Otherwise I matched all of your other scores. I knew you would max out the food. My ex-fiance worked for Jet Blue, and I believe they have actually improved their service (since she left? That's a mean thing to say, and totally inaccurate - she was excellent at her job, just needed a better boyfriend). Regardless, I was glad you did this review. I need to take a few flights in the future, and I will lean towards Jet Blue again. I did love flying all over the country with her before, but I don't remember any of those flights being this nice. Did you get constant ads on the flight map too? I found it extremely annoying when I flew last night (2/19/22) Unfortunately, for my flight the ventilation wasn’t working so well, so it was extremely hot for the whole 5 hour JFK-PHX flight, making it extremely uncomfortable. I never could get the SiriusXM radio to work, despite being over land for the entire flight. Did you have these same problems too? Or is it just an isolated incident… (EDIT) This was on an A321 without Mint, “Don’t Mind If I Blue”
Jetblue IFE has been refreshed, you were on a plane that still has the older system. The newer system debuted shortly after the first Mint planes were introduced. If you fly Jetblue to London you will have the new system and the wifi works over water too. Also, jetblue had lounges in JFK and Boston and i would suspect the new terminal in EWR will have on a well.
Thatis the current IFE on the Classic Mint, the majority of Mint aircraft that serve the Mint routes. The refreshed IFE is only on the new Mint a/c. Additionally there are no lounges for mint...at all.
Review was high. The cleanliness of the seat was a little disturbing to look at. It needed an extensive wipe down. Unless there was an operational issue, as you mentioned, or medical emergency, or severe turbulence, 1 hr wait for a drink 🍸 and 2 hrs for food are unexcusable. Way to generous on that rating.
