Great bike! I have an '89 vlx 600 in blue that I'm currently fixing up. Was originally imported from California to the uk way back in 1995. What handlebars are best I want to change the originals for something a little wider and higher but retain the chrome finish

Thanks for the good words. Yes even though Honda made this bike from the 80s until 2007 I don't see many on the road. Few people know of this bike's greatness. And ever since I moved down south all year is riding season, hope you can ride soon!

(bought with about 28,000 miles) I won another Honda Shadow on eBay and it should be here in a week or so. If you stay tuned I'll most likely be posting a review followed by more recorded rides. I hope you enjoy your bike as much as I did. They aren't only fun, they are easy to work on and are very reliable. Have a good day!
@@Voltomess It all worked out great! Guy had great feedback. I payed a PayPal deposit of $500 and the other $2,500 was due at pickup. I didn't care and mailed the check so I could get the title and have it registered and insured early. Drove a truck to pickup the bike. It was sold at a boat store. The owner had the bike in BETTER CONDITION than one brand new at a showroom, and that's not an exaggeration. He had it professionally buffed and detailed. I bought that bike with 700 miles in 2016. Still have it almost 5 years later with over 20,000 miles. Don't be afraid to buy things unconventionally, just do your research.

Great video. I enjoyed it and the highway looks pretty peaceful and nice would love to go there some time ! I am gonna buy a Honda Shadow Phantom 2013 750cc do you think it will be easy for me to ride? I currently ride a Suzuki Address V125 125cc. Will be using it for city. I am only 5'6 too!
+ali macmillan GREAT CHOICE!!! I love that bike and it is my current motorcycle! Well except mine is a 2010 Phantom. The Phantoms are very easy to ride with low seat height and center of gravity. They are low maintenance too! Thanks for watching, you can find Phantom riding videos on my channel.

your narration is actually good, no need to talk all time cause when you're running out of words, your shadow does not^^ by the way what is the real technical difference between a VLX 600 and a VT600 ?
You should do Motovlogs man. You just get a mic for a gopro and drill a hole in the case and put the mic under the helmet then the wind noise is greatly reduced.
I always felt split highways like that are simply to limit the casualties in the case of a mass pileup. If someone does something stupid it is usually gonna be limited to half the highway. On the same token any exits that may come up where some greedy prick might cut someone off are split, a split highway forces drivers to plan and think ahead more carefully which highway they will take, and it evens out traffic density for those exiting the highway.
Charles Mansfiled Honda's in general run like beast. all I've owned are Honda's for that reason and there really easy to work on without spending a ton of cash. my 84 vt700 starts just as good as my 2000 vlx or my CBR
To get good performance at high altitudes you have to tune the carbs lean. It takes more air for the same amount of gas to burn right, because of the thinner air up there. Sounds strange, but that's the way it works. Airplanes actually have a leaning knob for altitude as well as a choke for starting.
The way you say cars indicates you're not to familiar with Texas freeways. They generally have feeder roads. I've heard that people from not Texas aren't familiar with them.

hello everyone into honda shadows, i have an one owner 1988 honda shadow with 7,350 actual miles it is like brand new bought it in 2014 just got it registered last week , i paid 1900 cash for it , it is the blue one in color almost perfect shape, 1 very small dent on right side of gas tank, i will sell it to the highest bidder, im in chatt,tn , anyone interested?

Around 50 mph. Can be lower or higher by about 5 mph. It's all about the "feel."

Sounds like a reasonable buy to me. These Shadows work forever, had you bought a 2001 Harley I'd say it had 5 miles life left.
