Thank you Bjorn! As a 28 year old man. I am struggling to find my purpose and struggling with what I want in life.. I work a nice job in the IT sector as account management. I am ambitious but I am super stressed and I think it is due to my uncertainty from my lack of decision making power(regarding life). I always have been a hard worker and it has gotten me far but I have always lacked a clear picure of my future.. I am working on that now. I am slowly realizing that growing up fatherless(my father died of cancer when I was 9) has some connection to my mental state.. My mother did an outstanding job raising me and my sister, working two jobs and devoted her life to us, and I never thought i was lacking in anything until I became 27-28 and I realised the weight of the world and what it means to be a man... And that I had no father to teach me such stuff and help me. These kind of videos have helped me reflect a lot upon myself and realise my actions and starting to become more of a man every day with taking responsiblity. You are helping, your voice is being heard. tack så mycket A subscriber from Macedonia that works in Stockholm.
These days I find peace and purpose in tuning out social media and “the news biz”. Clarity comes from true friends who allow themselves to give out their honest opinions.
It’s refreshing to see a man be an actual man & be unapologetic while using logic & reason while expressing his views in this increasingly pc world. Keep up the great content. Thank you.
I struggle so much with finding friends. So many people can't think for themselves. I am a misfit. I am a party stopper and conversation stopper. I speak and get the deer in the headlight look. It's hard to find folks who live to be self reliant and to be consumers of important and mindful things that fit their lives. This the first video I have seen of yours and I can tell I will be watching a lot more. Thank you sir.
Thank you for your work this year, have a good Hogmanay when it comes. This channel is a good step to a better life and I suspect many of the people subscribing to it will already be or on the path to being "their own man".
Once again, I'm really glad I found your channel this year. I hope to be my own man as well. 2020 I'll be more mindful about purchasing items, grow my own food, be more kind, read useful books and exercise more often. Happy holidays Bjorn!
Thank you. I needed to hear/ see this today. For me, this is one of your best posts. I've been trying to move in this direction for some time now. Convincing others in my household has been challenging. What I'm taking from this is that I need to do what I need to do and perhaps by my example, others might follow. Health and happiness to you and yours in the new year from my family to yours.
I have been in the same situation for some time now. I've always thought that life is a short, we are here not to live for other people's whims and that if I do not take the first step towards "being my own man" nothing will happen, I have to take that first step to start the journey. A lot easier said than done, but an aspiration is definitely possible if you take that first step, even if the pieces don't come together exactly as you've planed them to. Best of luck!
this is probably one of the best videos it gives me a whole new perspective on your teaching and thoughts and has elevated you to one of the top spots on my list.... Keep it up!!!!!

I pray everyone is in good health at the time of this note...April 5, 2020
I've been watching your videos for a while now Bjorn but I have to say that this is by far your best video yet. You hit the nail on the head with your thoughts regarding 'being your own man' Individuality is hated by governments because people who have their own thoughts and ideas are much more difficult to control, and collective control is what these people crave. For over two years now I have practiced at 'being my own man'. I have my own house and a small piece of land and owe no debts to anyone. I live my life close to nature. I grow some of my own food, and hope to become more self sufficient in the future. The most precious asset we have is freedom, yet a large proportion of western society appear quite happy to relinquish their freedom without a thought. They don't realise how hard fought that freedom was to achieve by our ancestors and are willing to simply toss it away through their apathy. People need to wake up and stop allowing themselves to become sheep. The world needs more wolves.
"Be your own man". This is something I was told by my great grandfather and my grandparents instilled in me. I have always prided myself on being an intelligent, strong willed independent man. I live with purpose and even if it means I stand alone, I will stand up for what I believe in. My individual rights and freedoms are very important to me in my life. Without my rights and freedoms, how am I supposed to take care of and protect myself, my family, friends community and my country?
All American media is designed to generate profit. They will feed their consumers whatever it takes to keep their eyes glued and their minds blinded with outrage. CNN, FOX, NBC doesn't matter, all the same s**t just a different polish.
@Jin Lee absolutely I tend to believe we set the bar in our own lives at to how far we can go. You get out of it, what you put into it. If one stats stagnating in a pool of pittie then as the goes by it stays the same. Once one makes the effort to get up and do something positive to make it happen for them it slowly gets better. No one is gonna hand it to them or give you anything. You have to be steadfast and keep focused. In this type of situation comprising for your goals will only comprises you. Never let your circumstances predict the outcome of your situation. No one has to like anyone but they should respect you and your cause. If they aren't there helping you to become better then their just in your way to achievement and success. It all starts with you, me, the individual and how far one is willing to go to be themselves and get to where they need to be in their own life. We only get one life so why not live it to the up most best life we can live. It's not the mountains we face in life. There's always gonna be mountains and impossible situation and struggles, that's fact. It's the climb and the drive that fuels us to reach the top to overcome each mountain set before us.
Bjorn, I think society itself has softened up the men of this generation. It's sad as hell! I grew up having to take care of myself due to circumstances that were no fault of my own. I was an orphan then grew up bouncing from childrens home to reform school to where ever there was a bed for me. At 17 I was emancipated and thrown out in this cruel world under my own devices. I am thankful as hell for it because I became my own man at a very young age. I became resourceful and independent. You're absolutely right about what people like us buy. I bought land, and tools, and very high quality materials. I invested in gold and silver to preserve my wealth. I am set up now and am hopefully leading my son by example. I could go on and on but all I really want to say here is that you've nailed it 100%. This is one of the best videos I have watched, and my only hope is that you've reached into the soul of many people and they take heed to what you've said! Great job, Bjorn!!!

@@MrDuffy81 I think a government is necessary in order to maintain even a minimum level of civilization, but I would say the government which currently exists not only in Norway, but all of Scandinavia if not all of Europe, is well beyond saving at this point, and should be removed.

You say and do what has been on my mind for the last 30 years, all the best to you,, from the U.K., wish you well sir,,
These days I find peace and purpose in tuning out social media and “the news biz”. Clarity comes from true friends who allow themselves to give out their honest opinions.
It’s refreshing to see a man be an actual man & be unapologetic while using logic & reason while expressing his views in this increasingly pc world. Keep up the great content. Thank you.
Goal to live. To be our own man. Wise message. Thanks for your words and kind reminder.
I admire you taking the time to share your wisdom, out in the woods with a hot drinking. Cheers.
So glad I found this channel in 2019 .
I'm hooked.
You inspire me so much.
Word!!!!! Cheers. Happy New Year!
I am my own man and head of engineering I own my own house and have no debts
I agree with everything you have said
@White Man Hey, there's no need for that. The man is content.
Hahaha an who are you ??? Get a life
Survival skills in the 2020s.
Watch global crop losses.
I find my strength in supporting my man and being a partner in our dreams.
this is probably one of the best videos it gives me a whole new perspective on your teaching and thoughts and has elevated you to one of the top spots on my list.... Keep it up!!!!!
This video was exactly what I needed to make a few important decisions. Thank you, Bjorn!
"My truth" and "your truth" is another good one,.
Happy NewYear Bjørn.
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” ― George Bernard Shaw
A Happy New Decade to you all.
I consider the winter solstice as the passage to a new cycle as well.
Such truth.
You are the man!
Thank you for this message! Much needed. -Gabe from South Carolina
Sehr gut gesagt und alles wahr, danke für diese Ansprache zum Jahresende 2019 und Neujahrsansprache für 2020 !!!

Truth spoken. When you are your own man you must always endure certain things; namely, jealousy from even (or especially) people close to you...even if they are more successful and appear to have everything...beware the stones put in your path.
I pray everyone is in good health at the time of this note...April 5, 2020
I always enjoy Bjorn and his talks. He kind of brings everything down to earth and makes people think about things a bit more. Happy 2020 Bjorn !
I've been watching your videos for a while now Bjorn but I have to say that this is by far your best video yet. You hit the nail on the head with your thoughts regarding 'being your own man'
Individuality is hated by governments because people who have their own thoughts and ideas are much more difficult to control, and collective control is what these people crave.
I am a "dangerous man"... 3 doors down---- I'm the "Kryptonite Man"!!
Happy New Year everybody. May this upcoming year be blessed with transformation
All the best for you and your family Bjorn! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
My own father used to say "think, think", society is so dumbed down nowadays......
Thank you Bjorn, you bring good sense and a pleasant stillness to the day through your videos, I always enjoy viewing them.
Mike
Im slowly learning..but everyday has virtue in it....
Never apologize for speaking TRUTH Bjorn. Thank you so much for what you do.
Good one Bjorn, you had me laughing at the CNN comment. Keep doing what you’re doing my friend! Powerful stuff.
Thanks a lot man!! From over here far away; Panamá, Central America. This video has to be shared with as many as possible
‘CNN’ ‘reliable sources’ in the same sentence, can hardly stop laughing myself
Happy new year Bjorn🥂
Yes that was funny! :-)
Let me tell you a joke.
CNN is a credible source of information
All American media is designed to generate profit. They will feed their consumers whatever it takes to keep their eyes glued and their minds blinded with outrage. CNN, FOX, NBC doesn't matter, all the same s**t just a different polish.
@@muffinland indeed
I'm not american, nor I defend CNN, but to be fair fox news is an even higher standard of bullshit than what anyone could ever reach
Bjorn , I totally agree with your philosophies and I enjoy listening about them. Thank you for taking about them!
I had a boss tell me he would never fire me because he knew I would walk out the door laughing.
Freedom is something you have to fight for and maintain
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything 😉 be your own man not a puppet on a string.
Arron tippin can’t spell that well but great song
Thank u bro. I love being part ov your comunity. I have learn a lot here. Om nama shivaya . Jaya ( victory) hanson!!!
He must be chuckling about Donna Lemone 😂
I wish I had a father like this, Bjorne you are the man. Just discovered this channel learning a lot from you.
I'd love to trade places with this guy right about now!
Great job, Bjorn!!!
this mans vibe is pure. he must be protected and studied at all costs.
I'm watching this in June 2020, so I guess you can understand why I chuckled at the "have a happy new year" part. Great video though. Keep it up!
Im glad that peoples language is getting stronger. "Slave mentality", you've got courage Bjorn
Thank you Bjorn , and warm wishes from the UK .
I'm moving to Norway soon to start my own small farming business. The UK does everything to prevent you from prospering!
Khael Vír the US as well brother! I spent some time in Norway and loved everything about it. Good luck with your venture. Skol!
@@klscott561 Cheers to yourself sir thanks for the wishes. All the best!
I would love too. The Netherlands does not want you to prosper too. If you are self employed they make it impossible.
I am getting my teachers degree for biology and would love to move to Norway...or Sweden....don't know which is better...

Thank you, Sir. I appreciate your words!
you sound like the founding fathers of america, and i love it.
He sounds like someone from the TV show Vikings
@@Prometheushighaf This shitty show is filled with propaganda
@@MrDuffy81 I think a government is necessary in order to maintain even a minimum level of civilization, but I would say the government which currently exists not only in Norway, but all of Scandinavia if not all of Europe, is well beyond saving at this point, and should be removed. Or as my founding fathers said, the tree of liberty must be watered with blood from time to time. Maybe it's just because I'm an American, and our military is more detached from the government to then are the military's of other nations, I think the support of the military would be a necessary components in any rebel uprising.
@@1lobster The government in Europe doesn't even care for the safety of their citizens. They are more worried about increasing gdp and patting them selves on the back for All the good they do for the world, which in turn means giving their countrys away.
Edit: I should say that I am American, but im aware of the situation in Europe, and I pray that the situation turns its self around.
@@XJonAye Well then, Viva la revolution. For every one of our Patriots who dies in glorious combat, May 10 of their tyrants parish in miserable agony! Thank you for your thoughtful rants! You have a lot of wisdom to share with our world. All the best, James.
Some day I want to be able to laugh about the state this world is in, just like you can. Im turning 18 in april and sadly I am not really looking forward to the planned out life that was given to me by the "ruling class".Im not going to stay where I live right now (Germany) and I plan to have a simple quiet life in a remote area of the earth, maybe a small village ( I havent really decided where but I still have plenty of time for that). There I want to create art, I really like to draw and I really like experimenting with music and of course listening to music. But I want to create this art for myself and maybe my art will be looked at someday by people and they will (hopefully) understand the pain of this situation we are all in. Thank you for showing me that I am not alone with my thoughts, I like you.

Beautiful words! I have been becoming my own man. I needed to hear this tonight i believe. It's been a rough few months but I've been learning and my ambitions are very high like you say. Lapidary, woodworking by hand tools, building with hand tools, bushcraft survival, and ancient technology among some others. It's AMAZING becoming your own man and learning instead of wasting your life! I've never been so motivated in my life! Thank you for the amazing words, kindness is the way 😁🙏💖💖💖
Jordan Peterson has been a great source of inspiration for me!
I respect him in some sense, but it is getting close to a cult.
Honestly, I rather prefer Björn, for no other reason than I like his voice better. JBP sounds like Kermit the Frog.
I fully agree what you say at 8:20 . But seeing all the many affiliate links in the description makes me cry...
Could this man be Odin himself in disguise? He must have hidden his wide brimmed hat and put on a glass eye so it wouldn't be as obvious.
Odin? Well I'd cast him for the part, he'd be perfect!
