    Nice bike. I have a 250X with a lectron carb and it really works well. A bonus is much improved fuel mileage. I would consider that upgrade. Enjoy your mountain bike race videos as well.

    I pick mine up next week!! I put on the Pro Circuit system with a vforce4 reed. And am going to get a smart carb next month!! I put on all frame swinging armand brake protectors! Hand guard barkbuster type. It will be sick when i am done!! Insure miss your riding videos!! God Bless!

      @@hunterduratti4629 it is working great it took a little bit for me to get it dailed in due to the westher..but love it..and i will have to do it again due to the fact i got a apex head for it and will have tp probably adjust it a little more but it is so easy to do that with the the SC2 shut it off open up the throttle and clockwise for richer counter clockwise for leaner.. pretty simple and easy..i do recommend getting one..!! Plus the look sweet!!

      I just got my'23 two days ago. Since this one comes with a Keihin I'm thinking of adding a STIC metering block. How do you think it will compare with your Smartcarb?

    • @slayer6936
      @slayer6936 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@numbzinger350 i am not sure! I started having some issues with my smart carb and now have to wait till spring to work on it some more!! I wish I would have waited a year to get the 23 with the new mapping set up and more!! I think I might have to send the SC back to the manufacturer to have them look at it!! So now i am thinking about the Lectron in blue!! Or put back on the old carb!
      But the factory wants me to look at a few things before I ship it back! I just can not find the sweet spot on the SC at all no matter what I do!!
      I also got a Apex head to put on it so in February it heads to the shop to get put on..let me know how your new 23 runs with that carb..

    Hi Noah! I have the same bike. I tested the Lectron and the Smart Carb on the bike and the Smart Carb is by far the better choice. Yes, they are a little more expensive but the bike runs insanely better. I'll never go back, they're worth the penny!! Also you don't have to take the top of the carb apart to tweak the settings, theres a knob on the top of the carb. Good luck!! Great riding!!

    Hey man, I’m 6’2 210lbs with gear. I’m have a 250f for track but want a fun 2t ripper for mainly trails(woods and some climbs) but also be able to track it too. I’m a pretty decent C class rider. Should I go 125x or 250x?

    Hey. How did you fix your chain guide !!!! And you have an awesome bike bud !!!! I prefer the 250 and up cause of the power. The main thing I put on my kx 500 was a 4gal Baja tank and a 1gal number plate tank. Never had to stop once which helped out big time. Just wish you could get some aftermarket stuff to speed it up a bit. Your doing great keep it up !!!!! WFO

    I didn't hear anything about the top end. If you threw an upgrade for the top end you'd keep up. Watched you race and technically you ride better then most of the guys in your class. Maybe look into the 250x? Want to hear your opinion on that. How tall are you and your weight? There is a point you will grow and the 125 will only do so much for you. Awesome video!! I wish more people would do bikes like this. When someone new steps into the sport and does research these videos are extremely helpful!! Brappp on

    would u prefer the 125x or 250x for trail riding and motocross. what bike do u think would be a good all around for both. i’d say i’m an average track ride and above average trail rider

    Don't recommend the lectron. Got one on my 125x and I'm gonna swap back to the mikuni. A dialed mikuni runs better, starts better, and the fitment on the lectron leaves a lot to be desired imo. Not worth the money unless your rides involve crazy elevation change, in which case it pays for itself while you kick back and watch your friends rejet their bikes haha.

    I tried a lectron on my YZ 125x and I hated it. It had a stutter right off idle. When you are on the pipe the bike rips but in slow crawling stuff it didn’t deliver. I spent hours trying to tune the carb with Lectrons help on the phone and I couldn’t get it to run how I wanted. I do want to try a smart carb though. After talking to smartcarb on the phone they have a little different design that they say works better with the small bore bike with picking up fuel off the bottom. I also had a Lectron on a ktm300xc and it ran well but. Still didn’t have the grunt off the bottom I wanted.

      The 125 is so much fun and turns super good. The 250 is obviously faster and it can lug through tricky situations. Fridays video will be 125 vs 250 to explain everything!
