I think one of my main problems is I lost so many of my songs I think I could have been one of the greats I really think that but getting older made me lose a lot of my drive. I wish there was a like a group for creatives to feed off each other and actually work together. I have a friend and he already has 32 albums or something like that. I've written that amount of songs in my life myself but I lost a lot of them. And then I think I realized something not that long ago I think it was last year. Struggle creates desire to do better, comfort creates complacency. I know for me all I ever wanna do is play my video games and I'm never satisfied. Sometimes it depresses me to think that the hundreds of songs I have on my phone is going to be the only legacy that I could leave on this world. And the thought of them being deleted fills my heart with incredible sadness.
Seek out those friends and collaborators, locally and/or with other ties! We're just starting to work on this kind of a community that you describe, so you (and others) can try us too... Follow your dreams while working through that discomfort (and comfort, as he says at the end. ;)

Been listening to what j cole has to say more lately. I see him as one of the best influencers when it comes to practicing mindfulness, while also aggressively attacking and achieving goals and handling family responsibilities. Shit, I’m 30 and haven’t achieved shit 😂
I’m not trying to be an artist or anything. But this advice is helping me stay focused for the classes I’m taking. Really trying to get this job and I always get nervous when it comes to academics.
Plus as I have gotten older I rarely think I'm any good. I always would ask my friend who records and produces what they think of various songs I wrote throughout the years. And they would always say how sick/ill/gifted/ect. I was. Now, when I ask him he just says "it doesn't matter what I think, it only matters what you think". But my opinion of myself varies frequently.
Being hungry can really make you imagine all those millions for real but to be honest never feel guilty for wanting money badly because have you ever slept hungry and woken up hungry because you ain't got the means
This journey revealed a lot.. Most importantly.. Those who do jobs that the middle class(upper and lower) + the upper class would never do because of you know their status... Mean nothing to them. Yaani.. Watu maskini ni useless tu.. But you need them to do the dirty work for you so that you bling, eat, drive, make up your face to look fly eh...
