RIP Nokia. He was my hero, and his work got me started to playing in 1964. I saw the Ventures in concert in 1963. I saved my money and I bought an electric guitar, amp and case, and I only paid $29.95 in 1964. Many memories. Thank you Nokie.
I can't say enough about how great The Ventures were. I hope a whole generation of younger guitarists will appreciate them and find inspiration in the Ventures, just as they did, looking back to Chet Atkins and Les Paul, before them.
This is the ultimate way to be when you're old. I can only hope this is me one day... I can barely have a conversation at medium speed, but I'm still ripping it up all over the neck like a boss!
The Ventures had a bunch of hits and were a staple of the radio when I was a kid. He's a great guitarist but I hope he has a great relationship with his chiropractor because that guitar looks heavy! Enjoyed the video!
So glad the interviewer was a true Nokie fan and gave Nokie time to answer and play!

RiP Nokie
the master............!
1:16 Nokie starts talking
@MetallicMintGreen
you are right...my bad
Reminds me of an alembic like Jerry Garcia esq guitar
it really is. Like the drink but he is a human....humans are cool.
Not exactly a chatty fella
The guitars are made by Ed Roman in Vegas.
no they are not, for a little time, Mosrites were made by Ed Roman, but Nokie's Hitchhiker model is NOT made by Ed Roman, who by the way is dead...
There is not to like him anymore.
uh... excuse me ..the "master"? yu need to do some "research!!
Nokies worst tone from day one was with this guitar, his tone using a tele and Mosrite guitar was top notch.
that's a good looking guitar but I bet it weighs a TON.
JONATHON SEAGULL
They are actually very light
