As a fat kid growing up, I looked up to them in a way. I was bullied a lot and told I can't be successful because of my weight. But I saw them on tv so it gave me confidence to feel okay in my skin plus I lost weight because I did not want to let myself get as big. Nonetheless, they are apart of our black entertainment culture.

I met Jamal years ago in the City of compton during the MLK Day parade. I told him we have the same exact name both first and last name and I showed him my high school ID card to show him and he just laughed and gave me a hug, and I was wondered if we were related lol he’s very humble. I hope they are doing good and taking care of their health because I always felt that Hollywood used them as the butt of jokes because of their weight. When they had so much more to offer in their acting careers. God bless them!

So happy I came across this! I went to church with the Mixon family. Their mom had a beautiful singing voice. Wishing them nothing but the best in their careers. May God continue to open doors for them.

shoutouts to these young brothers...one thing u gotta respect is that they wasnt just too huge kids just standing there just THERE...NO!!! every single one of those rolls they played no matter how small was very impactful. Jerod brought his own personality. he stood out alot to me in old school. Jamal was funny and charismatic as hell. Both of them represented well together and individually

It’s actually pretty sad they’ve made their history from bein morbidity obese. People can say what they want, but being that large is not healthy in ANY aspect. I hope they’re both becoming more health-conscious. Especially now a days where the leading killers of Americans are heart disease and heart attacks.
To be fair it's not as if they were promoting obesity themselves directly. We see that from the deranged fat acceptance morons of today, which is horrible. But it's not as if the brothers themselves ever pushed such an agenda.
The brothers happened to be big, it is what it is, it's their struggle. And at least they never let their weight stop them from pursuing their goals, many people know you can't get casted in hollywood if you aint a size 0. But again the brothers found a way and made a positive from a possible negative.

The whole time I was watching this video, I was hoping in the end that it was mentioned how they chose a healthy lifestyle! Im pulling for these brothers to write many scripts, but lose many pounds before any serious health issues arise.
I mean its not easy losing weight its not easy trying to put on muscle but they still living so they probably alright.
