0.00004 of gold @ $2750 is 11 cents....which is 9 cents more than the dollar is worth today, relative to it's 1913 value. So gold is still a good value.
Gregory Copley writes in "UnCivilization: Urban Geopolitics in a Time of Chaos", page 77, that the world is in an interregnum and with global change, only those nations which have a "...a balance of economies between food production, raw materials and energy, manufactures, service sectors." will survive.
I'm pretty old and live alone in a rural village in Portugal. Very simple and peaceful. I spent most of my life in Rhodesia another colony, then later Johannesburg. Lived through the politics, the wars and finally the crime, but personal survival beats dying for some national cause or whatever. I love Africa but would not live with all the stress and danger again..... it's not worth it. To please the political class and all their BS, which I never believe. I like individuals but have no faith in groups. I enjoy your opinions on gold...a survival tool.
Thank you! Dr. Kedar is one of my favorite political analysts. @13:00 surprised you didn't know that the Alawites are aligned with Hezbollah and Iran (versus the Sunni brand of Islam).
Your guest is much too modest....it isn't by chance that all of Israel's neighbors have declined economically and otherwise. Perhaps this is the same dynamic at work in the US and most European countries as we speak.
According to Jewish law, Jews were not allowed to charge interest on loans to other Jews, meaning that if a Jew borrowed money from a Jewish banker, they would not be required to pay interest on that loan; this prohibition against charging interest is based on passages in the Torah which explicitly forbid usury between fellow Jews.
Egypt...you forgot the Egyptian pound which has only lost some 99.5% of its value over the past 20 years (among others in the region: as the Jordanian Pound looks great having only lost 90% of its value in 20 years) ;-)
'A Toxic Soup' is a good metaphor 2Describe the present geopolitical situation in the middle east, folks 👍
Alawism is a religious sect that splintered from early Shia Islam as a ghulat branch during the ninth century.

The prohibition against interest only applies to consumer loans. Not business loans.
