The song "Radium Girls" is based on a true story about female factory workers (around 1920) who contracted radiation poisoning from painting watch dials with radium paint. After being told the paint was harmless, the women ingested deadly amounts of radium. The poisoning resulted in teeth falling out, bone deterioration particularly in the jaw to the extent where bones had to be removed from their faces, stillborn babies and death.

    Lyrics:
    The un-dark
    Sunshine glow
We watch them dance the night streets
    With their anemic teeth
    They’re walking dead girls
Living out dead dreams oh oh oh
    Radiant radium girls
    Radiant radium girls
And you don’t know what you’ve become
And you don’t know what you’ve become
The children play a stillborn show
    Anemic bones
    They’re falling unseen
But they’re bright as lighting oh oh oh
    Radiant radium girls
    Radiant radium girls
And you don’t know what you’ve become
And you don’t know what you’ve become
    Become again
    Become again
    Become
    Pull me in
    Pull me in
    Tight by my jawline
    Bright lights in their eyes
Pull me tight by my jawline
    Bury me in lies
    Illuminated and lead lined
