Don't buy these if you think you will be able to watch videos on the screen (at least the smaller screen one). The only audio option on the smaller one is bluetooth to the car. And there is a 1s delay between the video and the audio. It can only show temperature in celcius, and changes from the back screen aren't duplicated up front (so if you change the temperature for the HVAC, it will change the temperature, but it will not show the new temperature on the front screen. I know because I bought one from one of these "reviews".

Kim Java made a review on a similar one (7”) and it was possible to update the units from C° to F° via an USB stick.
The screen looked exactly like this 7” model and the installation was exactly the same… it’s probably the same unit, although from different suppliers.
Other one they sell a USB c adapter

Is a sim card required? I dont care about the apps as much as air conditioning and the car's audio control and was considering getting one solely for that purpose. The A/C and music control are both through the cars computer so I dont think u need a sim for that but I am wondering whether or not it entirely does not work otherwise
have you found a new function of the newst type 8" screen? which will open the massage function of driver seat.
Can you change airflow direction in the rear with the new screens?
Can you provide an update it provide driver seat roll back but not while in drive?
Is there tech support or a way to reset the screen. Mine seems to be frozen and won’t respond to touch. I did try reinstalling it without resolve any help on tech support

How do i connect to internet? using any hot spot device or phone hotspot tethering?. I tried to connect via phone but it was slow and couldn't connect to main car speaker. Any advise would be helpful
Is there audio delay for 8 inch?
Don’t expect the audio to work if you have a 2019 model 3! I have tried everything and nothing works. I can see the audio or video playing but nothing comes over the Bluetooth even after successfully connecting it to the car or a Bluetooth device with a speaker.
Did you have to disconnect the 12v battery first?
Yea, but it looks funky, they are laggy and buggy with CarPlay…so it seems more of a hassle.

As a taller person who drives with my seat all the back, Dose the 8in screen come in contact with the side of the seat? Or could my elbow elbow come in contact with the screen while driving?
I’m 5-10. My seat just touches the 8” screen. You would probably want to go with the 7”.
I ordered the 8 inch screen based on your description. Used your code to order it as well. However, upon install and whilst trying to use as a standalone, i only have one major question, where is the SIM card slot?
On mine, there is a slot on the top behind the screen.

What about the 7.2" display? I believe it's so new no one has it yet.

In my opinion the 8" looks too bulky and out of place.
I think you made the right choice. The 7.2 seems to be a better overall model. I had no idea this was coming when I put out my video.
Where are the vents in the 7.2 inch version?
@@Nimustan I will be putting out a review on this screen as well. The vent on the 7.2" screen is super small and non-adjustable. I would estimate less than 1/2" tall - perhaps closer to 1/4" tall. It might be a concern. It will be covered in my video.
I was literally about to buy one until I learned they need an internet connection to work. Seems like if you’re using it just to do rear climate control then it shouldn’t require internet.
What is the point of having carplay/android auto in the back?

Not from this manufacturer that I’ve seen. You could get something to cut down (possibly).
Is there a front screen available that can increase the size of the text? I drive without glasses but need a pair for reading. Please help.
Not that I’ve seen yet. I’m getting an upgraded front screen that is larger for review. I’ll take a look at the font settings - if there are any.
2023 model Y do not have any connectors under the vent. how do I connect the rear screen? Thanks in advance..

By mistake i reset my screen tp factory settings and now there is no app in it...

I did the same. Don't factory reset these. You will lose ability to launch apps. The vendor support can send you a zip file to throw on a USB drive that will restore the access.

@@iowatesla I actually don't understand, how does it control the Tesla's heated seats and climate. Is it via CAN, or the cables are so simple, that it is a simple on/off switch , so the android tablet could integrate that?
Nope. Sorry. Android 11 chineseium screens. They'll have no proper software support (i.e. updates) and you can see the interface is already laggy. For sure not worth the $250+.
Dude - you need to vacuum your car - its a pig sty and detracts from your otherwise good presentation....
For my 2021 Model Y LR I got the 8inch rear screen display today from tlyard. and it does NOT work with the climate controls/AC/Seat heaters. Has 2 plug ins for the driver and passenger seats but only the passenger seat works. Why include one for the other seat?
another update. screen stopped working about a month ago. software failure and the system needs to reboot using "power and side volume buttons" The catch is the screen does not come with a power or side volume buttons lmao. So im stuck with a rear screen in my backseat that says it needs to be rebooted. waste of $500
