Exactly! The leather is actually like autopilot. The filming, 864 different camera angles, lights moved 814 times, loading 321 video clips to software, editing, etc etc. I can’t wait to just “make a wallet” again. 😆

This one is a bit more complicated. It’s bent and angled and beveled all precisely and not “normal”. The knife maker who makes 100s of these was even stumped at first. So.... good luck. 🤘

I want to get into designing my own wallets. Where did you learn how to measure (I know you said you don’t measure) but I’m wondering how much space to leave between cards, how far to leave between the edges and stitching, etc. I’m in a wheelchair and want to do this as a hobby but no idea where to start.
Excellent video as usual! Couple questions for you. How many layers/ounces of leather can you comfortably go through with your chisels and did you have to have them custom made for that much leather? Also, what weight of BK maul are you using to drive that big ass chisel?
I can go through 4 layers of 5/6 oz leather for sure. It’s close at 5 layers. Kevin lee custom made my chisels. Bk maul for big chisel is 6 lbs I think.

Hey!!! Thanks for watching and kind words! The Mayo is a proprietary blend of goo. Flesh and edges. Edges are complex. Sometimes saddle soap, beezwax, water, gum trag, spit, bourbon, coffee, etc etc. sometimes wood, canvas, etc etc. Enjoy the rabbit hole !

Dry fit or when folded, mark it, then cut.
