I see most tourists in Istanbul hang around this area of the city, Sultanahmet (and also Taksim). Istanbul has so much more to offer: Bebek, Beşiktaş, Arnavutköy (the one in Beşiktaş, not the region around the airport), and on the Asian side Kadıköy, Üsküdar, and the prince islands. Unfortunately I see much less tourists in these (in my opinion) most beautiful parts of the city.
When someone says “sh*ts going down” they’re not literally calling the situation “sh*t” bro. Instead, this phrase is a colloquial expression used to convey that something significant, often dramatic or chaotic, is happening. But if you watch the video you’ll see that I find the prayers rather interesting
