BMW X5 50i Muffler Delete (Cracks and Pops!!)

I've owned the car for a few days now and I couldn't help but mod it.
This is a 2013 BMW x5 50i M-Sport with a muffler delete and stock tips/flaps.

Great sound!! Better than the one I had.. as a former X5 50i owner to another owner be alert on that engine, they are self destructing. Mine was dealer maintained since new and the engine hydrolocked at 97k, luckily my BMW dealer knew about the issues with them, and allowed me to trade it in without loss value but when no issues are present it's an amazing engine!

There is little to no drone at all. It could be due to the x5 sound proofing. The interesting about this is that it is really loud when you want it to be, but also really quiet when driving conservatively.

LAMONT WATERS : yup just a muffler delete. Retained the stock valves. They normally stay closed until you put the car into sports mode I believe. So the revving is with it closed.

I have a 48i if I just delete the muffler I can get that effect or will the stage 1 tune be needed

From what I understand, yes you can tune it and it will make similar numbers but not the same. The main restriction being the airflow from the air intake positioning on the n63. However, mine was tuned, and man it was fast!

Could you do a video walkthrough of the exhaust setup? I recently did a muffler delete on my n63 but doesn’t sound nearly this rowdy wondering how you routed it and what size pipe you used

I sold the car a while back, but I can tell you it was the stock pipe size. Each side then branched off into a Y near the exhaust tip to house both the tips and the original exhaust valves (m-sport version) on both sides. So imagine your arm.. Put it straight ahead of you and then make a peace sign with your hand (palm down) while your arm sticks out.
