    personally I would have liked 2 minutes of seeing it work and 10 minutes of explaining how you built it, seems to work very well!

      Oglądając tą konstrukcje to nic trudnego.

    Great set up. Would love to see an updated set up this winter.

    This is the best ATV Snow blower setup I have seen, and that is after doing a lot research and watching videos. I wanted to utilize my Zero Turn mower in the winter and made my own snowblower setup for it and it works well but if I had an ATV, I would model it after your design.
    .
    You would have thought some of the ATV snowblower manufacturers would have gotten a clue but instead they have to add the frame with wheels to support the additional weight of an engine up front instead of putting the engine in the back for natural additional traction.
    .
    I love good design. With the engine set higher, the offset makes for easy chain/sprocket PTO rpm reduction. Is there a frame that goes from front to back connecting everything? How easy is your system to install and remove for the season?
    .
    I too would be interested in some walk around pics of the build. Nice work.... and from 13 years ago. 🙂

      Thanks Robert for the comment. The frame runs front to rear, with 3 mounting points. One mount to the at frame just behind the front tires and the rear mount utilizing the receiver hitch. The blower in the video takes about 40 minutes to install. I have just finished a new build with a 44 inch John Deere mounted on a 2021 Yamaha Kodiak, it is faster to install at about 20 minutes. As for the pictures, be patient I will try and get some posted (l will need help with that)

      When I saw the engine on back I thought it was a hydrostatic or hydraulic drive. I thought the engine just turned a hydraulic pump and then hoses ran to the blower or something. Neat setup. Thanks for posting.

    It works better than a JD front mount. It throws a lot further for sure. Good job.

      I mounted a 44 inch John Deere on a Yamaha and it is not even close to the Kubota setup.

    • @AD-hr4is
      @AD-hr4is 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@terrymournahan8426 yes JD has got to rethink its 54 47 44 inch front mount blowers because they are no good at all for throwing snow and it piles up in the front of the blower. For the money they want for their equipment they should improve the design to compete with the other brands. When i first saw your setup i was wondering where the motor till you went further and saw the motor in the back very good idea it takes some of the weight of the front end. Very good idea all together. You just have to put an actuator on the top deflector to control how far you throw the snow.

      @@terrymournahan8426 I would like to see a walk around of the John Deere / Kodiak setup. I have been looking for a similar solution, and it seems like you have figured it out.

    Nice setup! Like it much better than the ones with the engine up front…too much weight and length out front. I would love to see the build on this unit and I’m surprised that that setup is not being commercially produced. Engine in the rear provides the traction as well. I’m going to have to replace my 20 year old garden tractor/front snow blower soon due to parts not being available and yours looks like the ultimate design! Have you thought of putting a soft cab on the quad and may I ask how it handles wet snow? Very impressive!🎉

    • @terrymournahan8426
      @terrymournahan8426  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment. I have considered a cab however I have to trailer the machine for one of my contracts and I am not sure how well it would stand up to highway speed. As for wet snow if you baby it it might clog but if you push the machine I rarely have an issue. Be prepared to get wet if there is a lot of water in the snow.

      not to downplay the ingeniosity of this DIYer but there are commercially available units for ATV with engine in back and snowblower up front, I think Bercomax makes one there are others as well

    • @terrymournahan8426
      @terrymournahan8426  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@andreh.dupuis8475 Berco does not make one unless they have a new model, there is an American company that make a similar unit, but they use a v belt from the engine forward to run the blower. The one in the video has a drive shaft and pto.

      @@terrymournahan8426 agree that a v belt is not a good setup, I’ll try to hunt down references to the product I remember reading about.. BtW the v belt is a similar setup as a lawn tractor mounted snowblower.. can slip and needs to be protected from snow and ice..

      QUADIVATOR 50″ Snowblower W/18.5HP Briggs And Stratton Engine
      $4,549.00
      The engine mounts to the rear of the UTV (hitch required), the interframe goes underneath the machine, and the snowblower attaches to the front winch (does not come with winch). Easily maneuvered in tight places! Price includes shipping to your door!

      interesting, engine in back, pto under chasis drives snowblower up front, winch to lift/lower snowblower front end.. good idea, what were the tricky parts to make it work as you like??😊

    • @terrymournahan8426
      @terrymournahan8426  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@andreh.dupuis8475 The most challenging part is determining the correct impeller speed for the blower and maintaining sufficient torque. The engine is a 15 hp.with a belt drive to a jack shaft and chain from the jack shaft to the drive shaft. Blowers are slightly different when it comes to impeller speed. I have found that 875 to about 1000 works best. The one in the video is about 13 years old. The first blower was an MTD which lasted about 2 seasons and the one in the video is a Kubota and no issues.

    Works good but if it was mine I'd make a plexiglass removable window seeing theirs no adjustment for the shoot unless you do it manually each time depending on the wind
