@@obeserob5027 the only way to stop him is to trap him in a demonic coffin. He can’t die and has eons of battle experience. The only known video Game characters that can beat him are from devil may cry and Kirby. With his lore updated samus just wouldn’t stand a chance.
To be fair, so was Samus. Seems like they only used pre-fusion for Samus and the games that weren't accounted for are where some of Samus' best abilities are like her danger sense and metroid form

If this was actually accurate, the DOOM Slayer would've won the moment he laid eyes on Samus. I respect her for who she is, but the Slayer is too stupid strong and fast to be even compared to her. He's literally a god killing demon slayer that's lived for eons, considering he traveled through multiple timelines fighting demons constantly. No mortal being such as Samus would even lay a scratch on that Praetor armor, no matter how hard she tried. But, whatever to keep the Metroid fanboys from rioting. God, I can't wait for The Dark Ages.
@TentacularTaku The Slayer is powerful with or without his armor. His skin is impenetrable to mortal weaponry. He constantly flows with argent energy that practically makes him damn indestructible. He is just too powerful to be compared to Samus man, I'm sorry. I respect her, honestly. But the Slayer is just on a whole different level. The mf took down world ending titans with his bare hands, ripped and tore trillions, and trillions of demons for billions of years, maybe more, nobody knows for sure. And the Demons are said to be unkillable to mortal human beings. Even an IMP, the weakest demon in hell, is considered unkillable to beings like Samus. Their fireballs are hotter than the surface of the sun, and the Slayer's armor just tanks it in the game. But in lore? He doesn't even flinch. The slayer is immortal, Samus is not. That should be enough to prove that this is an unfair fight. (if it were accurate). I personally think a more comparable opponent to Samus would be Master Chief.
@TentacularTaku I have a feeling you haven't read enough into the DOOM lore. But that's alright, I haven't read into the Metroid lore either. Heck, if anything, we both just might be wrong. But if I'm correct, didn't the chozo die off over time due to some leviathan striking their planet? As well as getting killed off by space pirates and/ or their own kind? I mean, the demons are, again, indestructible to any mortal/ human weaponry. They can not truly be killed, but that's why the Slayer exists. Only he is capable of destroying countless timeliness of hell. Just look at the icon of sin, If the Icon is allowed to remain unchecked, it would lead to the total devastation of Earth, followed by a breakdown of spacetime around the planet. The resulting black hole will eventually drag our entire universe down, casting it into the mouth of Hell as a conquest to be absorbed by the Dark Realm. Meaning it's a Multiversal threat. The Slayer defeated the Icon of sin. Saving countless lives and multiverses in the process. I'm sorry, but I don't see Samus accomplishing that kind of feat. Yet. I'd love to see how the new Metroid turns out tho, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for that. AND The Dark Ages. That would be an epic combination of titles if they released around the same time.
@TentacularTaku It is true that Davoth created the DOOMverse, you got that right, but he created Hell with only a FRACTION of his power. (Hell is outerversal. Therefore, DAVOTH is outerversal.) And, Hell is unbound by the boundaries of dimensions. Urdark is 6th dimensional. Hell is above Urdak. Therefore, Hell is around 7D. The Doom Slayer has been stated to scale above both, which makes him 7D up to 8D+. And he's immune to reality warping (Killed the Icon of sin.) So, the Slayer is well above 4D. Idk where you got that info from, but whatever it is, it definitely isn't correct.
Ohhh boyyyy. As an avid Doom lore nerd, this is actually painful. Spoiler warning for Doom 2016 and Eternal. Disclaimer before I begin ranting: Given specific circumstances any fictional character could defeat any other fictional character. It's all fantasy and isn't real, so whoever wins is entirely subjective. With that being said I have to agree with a few other comments, good god the Slayer was hella nerfed. 1. The Slayer uses guns for fun, if he really wanted to he could simply tear Samus in two. He managed to take down a titan, a skyscraper sized demon, using nothing but his bare hands. Of course he still needed a crusible to put it down for good. 2. The Slayer isn't nearly as slow as this video portrays, of course Samus is overall faster and more nimble, but the Slayer can run upwards of 80 mph (assuming you take the entire series into consideration), and even if the version of the Slayer portrayed is entirely based on Eternal's depiction, he has a dash move and the Meathook for the super shotgun (which mind you, the supershotgun was never once shown in the battle despite being referrenced before the animation). 3. The BFG would not be so easily dodged. It's not just a big projectile, it sends out homing tendrils that literally boils the blood, typically resulting in the spontaneous combustion of the unfortunate individual caught by them. 4. Samus would not have been able to block the Crusible without extreme damage being done, the blade is made of argent energy which is described as being hotter than the surface of the sun. Not to mention it's capable of dicing demons like a hot knife through, well, demons. 5. Speaking of argent energy, many of the demons in the Doom universe use argent based attacks, meaning every attack from even an imp burns hotter than the sun, which the Slayer can take no issue. This would mean a charged shot from Samus the slayer could shrug off no problem. 6. The Slayer's power doesn't just come from his suit. He was imbued by the Divinity Machine with unlimited strength, infinite stamina, unbending will, immortality, and speed. This gift was quite literally the powers of a God (The Dark Lord). 7. Even without the powers granted by the divinity machine, he survived multiple hell invasions, even deciding to stay in hell for eons to ensure it would never return to Earth (this is a simplified version of his backstory to 2016). All of that, and he was still just a normal space marine. 8. In regards to the suit specifically, it's stated that even the most high tech weaponry that the UAC (Union Aerospace Cooperation) had, weren't able to damage the suit. 9. There were numerous weapons the Slayer wasn't shown using. I already mentioned the super shotgun, but what about the plasma rifle, ballista/gauss cannon, unmayker, grenades, ice bomb (which even in the video it was mentioned Samus didn't do the greatest against extreme colds), flame belch, and more that I'm not listing as they aren't nearly as notible. 10. From what I understand Samus's suit is tied to her resolve, where so long as she is concentrated and determined, her suit remains active. So even if, and this is a hypothetical scenario, even if the Slayer somehow couldn't kill Samus through any other means, eventually Samus would get exhausted from fighting, and eventually loose the suit simply because the fight lasts too long. The Slayer literally doesn't need to eat, sleep, drink, crap, and has an unbreakable will, and would win the fight by outlasting Samus. Reminder, this is a hypothetical scenario in which the Slayer hadn't tore her apart sooner. In conclusion this video needs redone from the ground up. I may not know much about Metroid lore, but from what I do know, in the average scenerio, Samus would not be capable of defeating the Slayer. Regardless the Slayer doesn't kill people recklessly, and likely wouldn't fight Samus in the first place. Edit: Forgot to mention that the Doom Slayer is highly intelligent. Unlike what many people believe, he isn't just a mindless rage fueled machine. He is often viewed that way as a result of his more reckless and aggressive nature, which is simply a result of not needing to be tactical, as he's by all accounts unkillable. While I'm not so much a doom fan (I've played a couple of the games), I will say Samus was also criminally undersold in this video. The most obvious being the analysis and design of Samus during the fight seem to come from Super Metroid which leaves out half of the series both games and manga. Before I go into what was missing from this video, I will say I understand where you got the "Samus' suit is tied to her willpower" bit but that's really only the case for her zero suit that she wears underneath the varia suit and her legendary power armor upgrade. There are several times in the series where she has no willpower but the varia suit remains such as when an alien parasite possessed her and to operate on her scientists had to physically remove her from the suit since nothing could cut through it. That is admittedly the old suit as portrayed in this video, but her new suit is physically a part of her now so it's not going to shut off partway through the fight. The main thing from the time period covered in this video that was missed is that Samus was genetically modified by the chozo enhancing her stats and giving her a danger sense ala spider-man. Roughly 3 seconds before it comes at her she can sense any danger giving her plenty of time to evade. While this came after Super Metroid meaning it wasn't accounted for in this video, Samus at one point manually piloted her ship charting the entire galaxy while evading enemies and other obstacles like asteroids or planets, and at one point jump out of the ship to fight an enemy that had tailed her while the ship was still moving several times the speed of light. While this doesn't inherently make her light speeds, she does still need to be capable of reacting to things approaching at those speeds. Combined with that danger sense and realistically Samus would be able to evade everything the doom slayer throws at her. While it's never explicitly shown, Samus does have the power to blow up planets. Her power bomb in the beginning of Other M(which takes place immediately after Super so this may have been accounted for) one of Samus' former commanders mentions that if Samus isn't careful with her power bombs she could easily blow-up entire planets. Samus can lay them down and just casually stand in those blasts and not take any damage, but if you want to say that's just game mechanics she has canonically tanked at least 1 during Metroid fusion when the parasite that took her over copied her suit and dropped a power bomb on her. In addition to having absolutely absurd stats, Samus has equally absurd tech/abilities. She can slow down time, create energy shields, freeze enemies solid, teleport, turn invisible, fly, store kinetic energy, and much more (especially if you include phazon stuff which was admittedly destroyed during prime 3 but prime 4 might bring it back). Samus' least explored ability is also her most insane one. When that parasite took her over, she was given a Metroid vaccine that altered her DNA. It didn't do much besides make her resistant to those parasites and weak to cold (which her gravity suit aleaves) but in dread at the very end she turns into a human/chozo/Metroid hybrid. This massively improved her stats and weapons but also gave Samus the ability to sap energy of any kind. Electricity, kinetic, heat, even life energy. Any form of energy she touches in this form is absorbed and added to her power. The Divinity Machine you mentioned would make this unable to kill Slayer I'll admit, but it's still very damn painful and make all of Slayer's weaponry useless as far as I'm aware. Just a side note because I wanted to talk about how absurd Phazon is. Phazon is essentially evil radiation. It's more powerful radiation than what's given off the sun to that point it's melted bodies in seconds where as the radiation the sun gives off wouldn't kill you for at least a few days. But if you somehow survive said radiation, Phazon also warps the mind, making even the wisest and most intelligent beings in the galaxy mere animals only capable of killing. And the worst part, it even does this to actual ghosts. Even when you die from Phazon it'll infect your mind driving you crazy. And Samus has a suit powered by this stuff with arm canons that blast the stuff at her enemies. At the end of Prime 3 like I said all Phazon in the universe is destroyed as far as we know so it shouldn't really effect the outcome of this, but they did only really cover up to Super Metroid like I keep saying so they may have included it.
well yeah. the doom guy killed his own creator. you don't get any stronger than that. that being said, tihs battle doesn't really work for many reasons. for 1, neither one would show up and start fighting if there were aliens/demons to fight instead. they are two of the most wholesome, friendly people in video games, despite their violent nature. it was entertaining though, so i wouldn't take it too seriously.
@obeserob5027 To elaborate a little on what the original comment said and to add onto it a little... Argent energy is more than just hotter than the sun. It's hotter than absolute hot, something that is not even possible following the laws of physics. That's over 100 million million million million million degrees. And the slayer shrugs these temperatures off like it's nothing. The slayer fought davoth (dark lord and creator of all existence in the doom verse) and won. Davoth himself scaled above everything in the doom verse, including the icon of sin who destroys worlds by simply existing due to reality tearing apart, and the champion of hell who was stated to be the strongest titan in hell, and the battle was said to shake the foundations of hell which is a multiversal sized dimension. That includes the icon of sin, and the slayer defeated the champion with his bare hands. He also tanked an explosion strong enough to send him to another dimension. So I don't think planetary level attacks are gonna do anything. Plus, he has also resisted demonic magic that drains and absorbs one's very essence, or their soul for simplicity. So life draining won't have an effect. The slayer could also possibly negate durability and invulnerability, since he was able to kill the Kahn maykr who was stated to be invulnerable while the orb remained inside her torso. But this one is debatable. Overall, samus may have more abilities and possibly more hax but the slayer vastly outclasses samus in every physical category aside from travel speed to an insane amount. He slayed GOD. That by itself is insane. Though samus may possibly dodge everything other than possibly a BFG just due to AOE, and he will need to simply catch her with his hands, which he should at least have lightspeed reaction speeds, if not MFTL+ reaction speeds, due to being able to react to and dodge light based attacks.
@@obeserob5027Second comment cause the other one was lagging my phone with all the text... The slayer is also uncorruptible in every regard, thanks to the divinity machine. I don't really know the slayers ability to negate radiation but I'm positive he can, due to the eons he's spent in hell, and around technology that definitely utilizes a lot of radiation, like that blast that sent him to a different dimension. Essentially, I don't see any of the slayers weapons REALLY hitting samus, but if they did hit, they'd likely deal some heavy damage, since the slayers weapons are empowered by his will, enhancing them heavily beyond what's possible. This is shown in the logs of the UAC in doom 2016, where it was said that the entire time they were in hell, they could never bring down a hell knight. Yet the slayer can bring down hell knights using the same, or even older weapons as the UAC like it's nothing. If the slayers weapons weren't enhanced by his divine power, and everyone could do the same damage regardless, earth wouldn't of fallen nearly as fast due to the giant mechs and plasma weaponry. Keep in mind, the UAC couldn't do any significant damage to any strong demon, at least to the super powerful ones even AFTER having the BFG 10,000 which blew a hole in Mars. Yet his shotgun shells and bullets can. Overall, I'd like to see a rematch between these two with a proper display of their capabilities. I'd think it'd be pretty interesting to see how they'd fight each other after realizing that they can't do any damage to each other for opposite reasons. Samus can't do any damage, due to the slayer being straight up immune to all of her weapons and life draining ability. The slayer being unable to do any damage due to being unable to tag her with his weapons. At least, not without being instantly frozen in place.

You need to prove that not only does "single dimension" refer to geometric dimensions as opposed to worlds, but also that the Chozo scale to their "will." Otherwise the Chozo are just town level, just like Samus.

Could you provide a quote from a source confirming that them pouring their will into the Twelve means that their will is a literal physical energy that they pour into the artifacts? The lore on the Twelve artifacts is extremely scarce, the logbook doesnt even know of their physical composition. It is unreasonable for you to assume them "pouring out their will" is literal rather than metaphorical. And again, you need to prove that "existing in a single dimension" refers to geometric dimensions rather than "dimensions" as "worlds." Using the depiction of a monument to scale the Chozo is actual schizo stuff though.

That headcanon is based off of a misunderstanding of Chozo lore and based off of Chozo lore that was retconned out of the Metroid Prime Trilogy logbook, which directly contradicts this old retconned lore
A bit late on this, but this was a fun episode. I always wish to see Samus in more vs stuff so this was cool to see. I remember watching an earlier video from this channel, and I think the animation and creativity is improving from what I last watched! As for the actual matchup and verdict, I’m actually of the belief that it’s much closer than some people are saying in the comments so the actual victor isn’t that crazy to me and could go either way depending on the interpretation of some things in Doom’s lore. It was a nice watch overall, and I’ll check out the rest of the episodes I missed. Keep it up.
Waiting for him to get too close to dodge was a smart finish, the episode has quite a few interresting set pieces idea (the morphball in the vents and the battle in the dark stand out in particular) As for "next" well I'll keep my two main concepts: Isaac (Golden Sun: Dark Dawn) vs Father (Fullmetal Alchemist) or Isaac (still Golden Sun) vs Link (either botw or totk) as they compete through a gauntlet of dungeon delving challenges in a race to the arena, faster one gets the best weapon waiting there, but taking time to explore side paths for items is also a good plan, wonder how each would do.

In reality I seriously don’t know why people think Samus even stand a CHANCE against the Doom Slayer. He killed Titan with his bare hands (which by the way are said to be literally unkillable by all means to my understanding and yet he fucking did that), he utterly demolished the Icon of Sin in which the demons mere PRESENCE destroys the earth, he straight up bitch slapped the Khan Maykr and her Maykr race, including The Seraphim (Dr. Hayden) and above all else he killed the literal Creator the entire Doom Multiverse. And let me not forget to mention I’m pretty sure the Doom Slayer is also immortal anyway. As strong as Samus is there no way she actually has a chance to beat Doom Slayer, in any way at all.
Bfg miss still does damage and lots of it. I highly doubt her armor could withstand the crucible sword and you didnt hse half of the abilities that each have. I love both of these characters but im sorry the Slayer wins these.
ya know, a cool thing about Doomguy is that he possibly has a healing factor like Deadpool. In the scientists logs about him in DOOM: Eternal, she states that they were able to analyze some of Doomguy's blood after his assault on the cultist base. That means he CAN bleed, but the other stuff found in his blood might be the healing factor.
I’m not sure if the matches are decided by research, but if they are it’ll be a good idea to try and give some stats for the characters just to make things easier to follow along and make it more fun to guess who wins before the fight starts
Samsus weapons have 0% chance of hurting the Slayer. He and his armor have never been damaged in the lore. He has infinite stamina and strength, he is powered by his will and with his infinite will, his weapons do infinite damage, allowing his to wipe out universes of demons over eons of time, the only think that samus beats him on is speed, also he is fast asf. Prob lightspeed, but to my understanding samus is MFTL, that really doesnt help her tho bc she cant HURT HIM. Like. At all.

Ignoring the fact that these two would realistically never fight, Samus using her Metroid suit would be completely broken. It takes no damage, absorbs all energy, and has ridiculous firepower. What I want to see is how well these two would do in a game swap.

The demons dropped a whole layer of hell on him, so to make sure he wouldn't bother them anymore, the possibly used the same runes and ritual that the Father used to steal the Dark Lords power and seal him away inside a soul sphere. but without devine powers, the demons couldn't take Doomguy's power

I think a cool MU for something like this would be Robin from Fire Emblem vs Raven from DC (specifically the teen titans version). 2 bird themed magicians, descendant of evil gods who fight to defy them and be heroes alongside their team.
I feel bad saying that the Doom Slayer wins this because I am a bigger fan of the Metroid series, it's just I can't deny what I have learned from these two in there series over the years. Both have impressive feets but when you have literal Hell fearing the Slayer compared to the Space Pirates fearing Samus these moments become awkward to see. I know it's vague for me to just say Hell compared to Space Pirates it just feels like it would go back and fourth with info is all. The animation is great and when it comes down to these sorts of things, just having a character of high power being brought down in power makes the most sense for entertainment purposes instead of having a quick fight and then it's done. Sometimes it ends up being a new experience to watch a what if situation with a weaker version of a character in order to see what the end result would be when they get put up against someone else in that state.
(Now I’m trying to be a nerd) samus doges the bfg shot in the games it destroys literaly everything in its path so realisticaly shes already dead. And doom guys armour is so strong he can walk on the sun so he pretty much cannot loose to Samus.
normal logic would dictate that walking on the sun would be impossible. but with how stupidly OP Doomguy is, I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow found a way to walk on solar fire
I think that you underestimated doomguy, but I do think that the coment section does underestimate Samus. I would have to agree that samus could totally win, knowing that samus can throwaround actual whales like that are featherweights, but also the Doom Slayer is a God killer so it would definitely be a fight for the ages
I have an idea for a fight. Cole Brookstone (Ninjago) vs Nora (RWBY I don't know her last name) vs Commander Valen (DOOM: Eternal). All are super strong and use hammers as their weapon of choice.

@TentacularTaku ignorance fallacy. Urdak IS 6D, and the lore pretty much tells us it is. The makers exist on a higher dimension/plain. The doom slayer also killed the khan makyr, who was stated by Hayden to be literally invulnerable inside her domain. Doomguy also easily dodged her light beams, which, as the name suggests, move equally if not faster than light. Doomguy also defeated Hayden, aka the seraphim, which is also stated to move at the speed of light and is invulnerable, but doomguy still managed to defeat him. This shoes his very strength and power ignores concepts. Speaking of his strength, it's stated it equals his will, and it's stated in both lore and slayer testament that his will is infinite, which equals infinite strength. His armor is also enchanted to be quite literally and virtually indestructible...and doomguys skin is harder than his own armor. He can also will his own weapons to kill demons which also explains how those weapons damage them. In fact he literally doesn't even need th3 guns and can literally just rip and tear them, but the devs themselves stated that doomguy only uses guns for fun. They also stated all the cheat codes are canon, which consist of overdrive, which makes him even faster than he already is. Berserk, which, as the name suggests, literally makes him even more pissed off than he already is, quad damage which literally quadruple his damage. The praetor armor code which makes him even more durable, then there is infinite ammo which....I think you know what that one means. His speed is also infinite thanks to him travellings between realms. Davoth also created immora which consists of multiple layered infinite dimensions along with the rest of the other dimensions without issue...and doomguy STILL no diffed him. Then there is argent energy which is hotter than absolute hot, and the only thing that even comes close to argent energy temperature is the big bang itself

I’m sorry, but… No. In no world does a man who shot a hole in a planet lose to Samus, as much as I respect both. I feel like it’s disrespectful to women in fact to nerf the slayer just so she can win. There are plenty of fictional sci-fi women who COULD beat the DOOM slayer, but Samus is not one of them. I do think they would make great friends though.

I will say this: I think Samus could “survive” the slayer and I think that under certain circumstances she could win in a non-lethal fight. I’m just saying that in an all-out, no holds barred fight, I don’t see how Samus beats the slayer. The crucible, the BFG, and the UnMaykr are just so devastating. The “divinity machine” is a magnitude above the Chozo’s technology in my estimation. I don’t recall Samus ever engaging in “extra-dimensional” travel. The forces of hell are on another level compared to space pirates and crude material space monsters like Metroids.

If this was actually accurate, the DOOM Slayer would've won the moment he laid eyes on Samus. I respect her for who she is, but the Slayer is too stupid strong and fast to be even compared to her. He's literally a god killing demon slayer that's lived for eons, considering he traveled through multiple timelines fighting demons constantly. No mortal being such as Samus would even lay a scratch on that Praetor armor, no matter how hard she tried. But, whatever to keep the Metroid fanboys from rioting. God, I can't wait for The Dark Ages.

@TentacularTaku The Slayer is powerful with or without his armor. His skin is impenetrable to mortal weaponry. He constantly flows with argent energy that practically makes him damn indestructible. He is just too powerful to be compared to Samus man, I'm sorry. I respect her, honestly. But the Slayer is just on a whole different level.
The mf took down world ending titans with his bare hands, ripped and tore trillions, and trillions of demons for billions of years, maybe more, nobody knows for sure. And the Demons are said to be unkillable to mortal human beings. Even an IMP, the weakest demon in hell, is considered unkillable to beings like Samus. Their fireballs are hotter than the surface of the sun, and the Slayer's armor just tanks it in the game. But in lore? He doesn't even flinch. The slayer is immortal, Samus is not. That should be enough to prove that this is an unfair fight. (if it were accurate).
I personally think a more comparable opponent to Samus would be Master Chief.

I mean, the demons are, again, indestructible to any mortal/ human weaponry. They can not truly be killed, but that's why the Slayer exists. Only he is capable of destroying countless timeliness of hell. Just look at the icon of sin, If the Icon is allowed to remain unchecked, it would lead to the total devastation of Earth, followed by a breakdown of spacetime around the planet. The resulting black hole will eventually drag our entire universe down, casting it into the mouth of Hell as a conquest to be absorbed by the Dark Realm. Meaning it's a Multiversal threat.
The Slayer defeated the Icon of sin. Saving countless lives and multiverses in the process.

@TentacularTaku It is true that Davoth created the DOOMverse, you got that right, but he created Hell with only a FRACTION of his power. (Hell is outerversal. Therefore, DAVOTH is outerversal.) And, Hell is unbound by the boundaries of dimensions.
Urdark is 6th dimensional. Hell is above Urdak. Therefore, Hell is around 7D. The Doom Slayer has been stated to scale above both, which makes him 7D up to 8D+. And he's immune to reality warping (Killed the Icon of sin.)
So, the Slayer is well above 4D. Idk where you got that info from, but whatever it is, it definitely isn't correct.

As an avid Doom lore nerd, this is actually painful. Spoiler warning for Doom 2016 and Eternal.
Disclaimer before I begin ranting: Given specific circumstances any fictional character could defeat any other fictional character. It's all fantasy and isn't real, so whoever wins is entirely subjective.
With that being said I have to agree with a few other comments, good god the Slayer was hella nerfed.
1. The Slayer uses guns for fun, if he really wanted to he could simply tear Samus in two. He managed to take down a titan, a skyscraper sized demon, using nothing but his bare hands. Of course he still needed a crusible to put it down for good.
2. The Slayer isn't nearly as slow as this video portrays, of course Samus is overall faster and more nimble, but the Slayer can run upwards of 80 mph (assuming you take the entire series into consideration), and even if the version of the Slayer portrayed is entirely based on Eternal's depiction, he has a dash move and the Meathook for the super shotgun (which mind you, the supershotgun was never once shown in the battle despite being referrenced before the animation).
3. The BFG would not be so easily dodged. It's not just a big projectile, it sends out homing tendrils that literally boils the blood, typically resulting in the spontaneous combustion of the unfortunate individual caught by them.
4. Samus would not have been able to block the Crusible without extreme damage being done, the blade is made of argent energy which is described as being hotter than the surface of the sun. Not to mention it's capable of dicing demons like a hot knife through, well, demons.
5. Speaking of argent energy, many of the demons in the Doom universe use argent based attacks, meaning every attack from even an imp burns hotter than the sun, which the Slayer can take no issue. This would mean a charged shot from Samus the slayer could shrug off no problem.
6. The Slayer's power doesn't just come from his suit. He was imbued by the Divinity Machine with unlimited strength, infinite stamina, unbending will, immortality, and speed. This gift was quite literally the powers of a God (The Dark Lord).
7. Even without the powers granted by the divinity machine, he survived multiple hell invasions, even deciding to stay in hell for eons to ensure it would never return to Earth (this is a simplified version of his backstory to 2016). All of that, and he was still just a normal space marine.
8. In regards to the suit specifically, it's stated that even the most high tech weaponry that the UAC (Union Aerospace Cooperation) had, weren't able to damage the suit.
9. There were numerous weapons the Slayer wasn't shown using. I already mentioned the super shotgun, but what about the plasma rifle, ballista/gauss cannon, unmayker, grenades, ice bomb (which even in the video it was mentioned Samus didn't do the greatest against extreme colds), flame belch, and more that I'm not listing as they aren't nearly as notible.
10. From what I understand Samus's suit is tied to her resolve, where so long as she is concentrated and determined, her suit remains active. So even if, and this is a hypothetical scenario, even if the Slayer somehow couldn't kill Samus through any other means, eventually Samus would get exhausted from fighting, and eventually loose the suit simply because the fight lasts too long. The Slayer literally doesn't need to eat, sleep, drink, crap, and has an unbreakable will, and would win the fight by outlasting Samus. Reminder, this is a hypothetical scenario in which the Slayer hadn't tore her apart sooner.
In conclusion this video needs redone from the ground up. I may not know much about Metroid lore, but from what I do know, in the average scenerio, Samus would not be capable of defeating the Slayer.
Regardless the Slayer doesn't kill people recklessly, and likely wouldn't fight Samus in the first place.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the Doom Slayer is highly intelligent. Unlike what many people believe, he isn't just a mindless rage fueled machine. He is often viewed that way as a result of his more reckless and aggressive nature, which is simply a result of not needing to be tactical, as he's by all accounts unkillable.

The BFG shot was the most criminal part honestly, was like measly projectile that Samus just hopped over lmao
While I'm not so much a doom fan (I've played a couple of the games), I will say Samus was also criminally undersold in this video. The most obvious being the analysis and design of Samus during the fight seem to come from Super Metroid which leaves out half of the series both games and manga.
Before I go into what was missing from this video, I will say I understand where you got the "Samus' suit is tied to her willpower" bit but that's really only the case for her zero suit that she wears underneath the varia suit and her legendary power armor upgrade. There are several times in the series where she has no willpower but the varia suit remains such as when an alien parasite possessed her and to operate on her scientists had to physically remove her from the suit since nothing could cut through it. That is admittedly the old suit as portrayed in this video, but her new suit is physically a part of her now so it's not going to shut off partway through the fight.
The main thing from the time period covered in this video that was missed is that Samus was genetically modified by the chozo enhancing her stats and giving her a danger sense ala spider-man. Roughly 3 seconds before it comes at her she can sense any danger giving her plenty of time to evade. While this came after Super Metroid meaning it wasn't accounted for in this video, Samus at one point manually piloted her ship charting the entire galaxy while evading enemies and other obstacles like asteroids or planets, and at one point jump out of the ship to fight an enemy that had tailed her while the ship was still moving several times the speed of light. While this doesn't inherently make her light speeds, she does still need to be capable of reacting to things approaching at those speeds. Combined with that danger sense and realistically Samus would be able to evade everything the doom slayer throws at her.
While it's never explicitly shown, Samus does have the power to blow up planets. Her power bomb in the beginning of Other M(which takes place immediately after Super so this may have been accounted for) one of Samus' former commanders mentions that if Samus isn't careful with her power bombs she could easily blow-up entire planets. Samus can lay them down and just casually stand in those blasts and not take any damage, but if you want to say that's just game mechanics she has canonically tanked at least 1 during Metroid fusion when the parasite that took her over copied her suit and dropped a power bomb on her.
In addition to having absolutely absurd stats, Samus has equally absurd tech/abilities. She can slow down time, create energy shields, freeze enemies solid, teleport, turn invisible, fly, store kinetic energy, and much more (especially if you include phazon stuff which was admittedly destroyed during prime 3 but prime 4 might bring it back). Samus' least explored ability is also her most insane one. When that parasite took her over, she was given a Metroid vaccine that altered her DNA. It didn't do much besides make her resistant to those parasites and weak to cold (which her gravity suit aleaves) but in dread at the very end she turns into a human/chozo/Metroid hybrid. This massively improved her stats and weapons but also gave Samus the ability to sap energy of any kind. Electricity, kinetic, heat, even life energy. Any form of energy she touches in this form is absorbed and added to her power. The Divinity Machine you mentioned would make this unable to kill Slayer I'll admit, but it's still very damn painful and make all of Slayer's weaponry useless as far as I'm aware.
Just a side note because I wanted to talk about how absurd Phazon is. Phazon is essentially evil radiation. It's more powerful radiation than what's given off the sun to that point it's melted bodies in seconds where as the radiation the sun gives off wouldn't kill you for at least a few days. But if you somehow survive said radiation, Phazon also warps the mind, making even the wisest and most intelligent beings in the galaxy mere animals only capable of killing. And the worst part, it even does this to actual ghosts. Even when you die from Phazon it'll infect your mind driving you crazy. And Samus has a suit powered by this stuff with arm canons that blast the stuff at her enemies. At the end of Prime 3 like I said all Phazon in the universe is destroyed as far as we know so it shouldn't really effect the outcome of this, but they did only really cover up to Super Metroid like I keep saying so they may have included it.
well yeah. the doom guy killed his own creator. you don't get any stronger than that.
that being said, tihs battle doesn't really work for many reasons. for 1, neither one would show up and start fighting if there were aliens/demons to fight instead. they are two of the most wholesome, friendly people in video games, despite their violent nature.
it was entertaining though, so i wouldn't take it too seriously.

Argent energy is more than just hotter than the sun. It's hotter than absolute hot, something that is not even possible following the laws of physics. That's over 100 million million million million million degrees. And the slayer shrugs these temperatures off like it's nothing.
The slayer fought davoth (dark lord and creator of all existence in the doom verse) and won. Davoth himself scaled above everything in the doom verse, including the icon of sin who destroys worlds by simply existing due to reality tearing apart, and the champion of hell who was stated to be the strongest titan in hell, and the battle was said to shake the foundations of hell which is a multiversal sized dimension. That includes the icon of sin, and the slayer defeated the champion with his bare hands.
He also tanked an explosion strong enough to send him to another dimension. So I don't think planetary level attacks are gonna do anything. Plus, he has also resisted demonic magic that drains and absorbs one's very essence, or their soul for simplicity. So life draining won't have an effect.
The slayer could also possibly negate durability and invulnerability, since he was able to kill the Kahn maykr who was stated to be invulnerable while the orb remained inside her torso. But this one is debatable.
Overall, samus may have more abilities and possibly more hax but the slayer vastly outclasses samus in every physical category aside from travel speed to an insane amount. He slayed GOD. That by itself is insane. Though samus may possibly dodge everything other than possibly a BFG just due to AOE, and he will need to simply catch her with his hands, which he should at least have lightspeed reaction speeds, if not MFTL+ reaction speeds, due to being able to react to and dodge light based attacks.

The slayer is also uncorruptible in every regard, thanks to the divinity machine. I don't really know the slayers ability to negate radiation but I'm positive he can, due to the eons he's spent in hell, and around technology that definitely utilizes a lot of radiation, like that blast that sent him to a different dimension.
Essentially, I don't see any of the slayers weapons REALLY hitting samus, but if they did hit, they'd likely deal some heavy damage, since the slayers weapons are empowered by his will, enhancing them heavily beyond what's possible. This is shown in the logs of the UAC in doom 2016, where it was said that the entire time they were in hell, they could never bring down a hell knight. Yet the slayer can bring down hell knights using the same, or even older weapons as the UAC like it's nothing.
If the slayers weapons weren't enhanced by his divine power, and everyone could do the same damage regardless, earth wouldn't of fallen nearly as fast due to the giant mechs and plasma weaponry. Keep in mind, the UAC couldn't do any significant damage to any strong demon, at least to the super powerful ones even AFTER having the BFG 10,000 which blew a hole in Mars. Yet his shotgun shells and bullets can.
Overall, I'd like to see a rematch between these two with a proper display of their capabilities. I'd think it'd be pretty interesting to see how they'd fight each other after realizing that they can't do any damage to each other for opposite reasons. Samus can't do any damage, due to the slayer being straight up immune to all of her weapons and life draining ability. The slayer being unable to do any damage due to being unable to tag her with his weapons. At least, not without being instantly frozen in place.
wish we could've saw samus use her metroid form here, or maybe a power bomb. but that's okay! pretty good episode!

Could you provide a quote from a source confirming that them pouring their will into the Twelve means that their will is a literal physical energy that they pour into the artifacts? The lore on the Twelve artifacts is extremely scarce, the logbook doesnt even know of their physical composition. It is unreasonable for you to assume them "pouring out their will" is literal rather than metaphorical.
And again, you need to prove that "existing in a single dimension" refers to geometric dimensions rather than "dimensions" as "worlds."
Using the depiction of a monument to scale the Chozo is actual schizo stuff though.

That headcanon is based off of a misunderstanding of Chozo lore and based off of Chozo lore that was retconned out of the Metroid Prime Trilogy logbook, which directly contradicts this old retconned lore
A bit late on this, but this was a fun episode. I always wish to see Samus in more vs stuff so this was cool to see. I remember watching an earlier video from this channel, and I think the animation and creativity is improving from what I last watched!
As for the actual matchup and verdict, I’m actually of the belief that it’s much closer than some people are saying in the comments so the actual victor isn’t that crazy to me and could go either way depending on the interpretation of some things in Doom’s lore.
It was a nice watch overall, and I’ll check out the rest of the episodes I missed. Keep it up.
Waiting for him to get too close to dodge was a smart finish, the episode has quite a few interresting set pieces idea (the morphball in the vents and the battle in the dark stand out in particular)
As for "next" well I'll keep my two main concepts: Isaac (Golden Sun: Dark Dawn) vs Father (Fullmetal Alchemist) or Isaac (still Golden Sun) vs Link (either botw or totk) as they compete through a gauntlet of dungeon delving challenges in a race to the arena, faster one gets the best weapon waiting there, but taking time to explore side paths for items is also a good plan, wonder how each would do.

In reality I seriously don’t know why people think Samus even stand a CHANCE against the Doom Slayer. He killed Titan with his bare hands (which by the way are said to be literally unkillable by all means to my understanding and yet he fucking did that), he utterly demolished the Icon of Sin in which the demons mere PRESENCE destroys the earth, he straight up bitch slapped the Khan Maykr and her Maykr race, including The Seraphim (Dr. Hayden) and above all else he killed the literal Creator the entire Doom Multiverse. And let me not forget to mention I’m pretty sure the Doom Slayer is also immortal anyway. As strong as Samus is there no way she actually has a chance to beat Doom Slayer, in any way at all.
Bfg miss still does damage and lots of it. I highly doubt her armor could withstand the crucible sword and you didnt hse half of the abilities that each have. I love both of these characters but im sorry the Slayer wins these.
ya know, a cool thing about Doomguy is that he possibly has a healing factor like Deadpool. In the scientists logs about him in DOOM: Eternal, she states that they were able to analyze some of Doomguy's blood after his assault on the cultist base. That means he CAN bleed, but the other stuff found in his blood might be the healing factor.

Samsus weapons have 0% chance of hurting the Slayer. He and his armor have never been damaged in the lore. He has infinite stamina and strength, he is powered by his will and with his infinite will, his weapons do infinite damage, allowing his to wipe out universes of demons over eons of time, the only think that samus beats him on is speed, also he is fast asf. Prob lightspeed, but to my understanding samus is MFTL, that really doesnt help her tho bc she cant HURT HIM. Like. At all.

Both have impressive feets but when you have literal Hell fearing the Slayer compared to the Space Pirates fearing Samus these moments become awkward to see. I know it's vague for me to just say Hell compared to Space Pirates it just feels like it would go back and fourth with info is all. The animation is great and when it comes down to these sorts of things, just having a character of high power being brought down in power makes the most sense for entertainment purposes instead of having a quick fight and then it's done. Sometimes it ends up being a new experience to watch a what if situation with a weaker version of a character in order to see what the end result would be when they get put up against someone else in that state.
(Now I’m trying to be a nerd) samus doges the bfg shot in the games it destroys literaly everything in its path so realisticaly shes already dead. And doom guys armour is so strong he can walk on the sun so he pretty much cannot loose to Samus.

I think that you underestimated doomguy, but I do think that the coment section does underestimate Samus. I would have to agree that samus could totally win, knowing that samus can throwaround actual whales like that are featherweights, but also the Doom Slayer is a God killer so it would definitely be a fight for the ages

I have an idea for a fight. Cole Brookstone (Ninjago) vs Nora (RWBY I don't know her last name) vs Commander Valen (DOOM: Eternal). All are super strong and use hammers as their weapon of choice.

Doomguy no diffed davoth who not only was getting so powerful but was so powerful, his simple presence alone was going to destroy the infinite doom multiverse which consists of urdak which hold the makers who exist on a different dimension entirely....then doomguy managed to kill an immortal titan with his bare fists as well, not only did he kill that immortal titan champion but he did that before he got the divinity machine power up.
@TentacularTaku ignorance fallacy. Urdak IS 6D, and the lore pretty much tells us it is. The makers exist on a higher dimension/plain. The doom slayer also killed the khan makyr, who was stated by Hayden to be literally invulnerable inside her domain. Doomguy also easily dodged her light beams, which, as the name suggests, move equally if not faster than light. Doomguy also defeated Hayden, aka the seraphim, which is also stated to move at the speed of light and is invulnerable, but doomguy still managed to defeat him. This shoes his very strength and power ignores concepts. Speaking of his strength, it's stated it equals his will, and it's stated in both lore and slayer testament that his will is infinite, which equals infinite strength. His armor is also enchanted to be quite literally and virtually indestructible...and doomguys skin is harder than his own armor. He can also will his own weapons to kill demons which also explains how those weapons damage them. In fact he literally doesn't even need th3 guns and can literally just rip and tear them, but the devs themselves stated that doomguy only uses guns for fun. They also stated all the cheat codes are canon, which consist of overdrive, which makes him even faster than he already is. Berserk, which, as the name suggests, literally makes him even more pissed off than he already is, quad damage which literally quadruple his damage. The praetor armor code which makes him even more durable, then there is infinite ammo which....I think you know what that one means. His speed is also infinite thanks to him travellings between realms. Davoth also created immora which consists of multiple layered infinite dimensions along with the rest of the other dimensions without issue...and doomguy STILL no diffed him. Then there is argent energy which is hotter than absolute hot, and the only thing that even comes close to argent energy temperature is the big bang itself

If you actually read the lore for ancient gods you can find that immora IS a infinitely layered dimension. Not only that but as I said before davoth was so powerful his kere presence and power threatened to destroy literally all of creation. NOT just the doom infinite multiverse but others as well

I’m sorry, but… No. In no world does a man who shot a hole in a planet lose to Samus, as much as I respect both.
I feel like it’s disrespectful to women in fact to nerf the slayer just so she can win.
There are plenty of fictional sci-fi women who COULD beat the DOOM slayer, but Samus is not one of them.
I do think they would make great friends though.

@@vsmodeofficial I think the Foreign “god” from Fate could hurt the slayer. I think Wonder Woman could at least subdue him. But she wouldn’t want to hurt him. There were two more women but I can’t remember because I’m drunk.
I will say this: I think Samus could “survive” the slayer and I think that under certain circumstances she could win in a non-lethal fight.
I’m just saying that in an all-out, no holds barred fight, I don’t see how Samus beats the slayer.
The crucible, the BFG, and the UnMaykr are just so devastating.
The “divinity machine” is a magnitude above the Chozo’s technology in my estimation. I don’t recall Samus ever engaging in “extra-dimensional” travel. The forces of hell are on another level compared to space pirates and crude material space monsters like Metroids.
